A friend and I had lunch at Thai Silk Southwark today. I'd been there a few times before and had already been rather disappointed with the quality of food, service, ambience and decor compared to all that of its now closed-down predecessor in Waterloo. The best Thai food around! Starters are fantastic although I couldn't tell you want they all are - what are those sweet noodle things?! Thai fish cake with just the right amount of lemon grass to flavour. Intrigued by one dish being served at a nearby table - was a whole loaf of bread hollowed and refilled! Keep you posted...... more
