We arrived a little early but that was the plan - so we could enjoy the delights of the Champagne bar before dinner. The decor was lovely, very modern and chic. On offer is a large selection of wine and Champagnes but we went for cocktails as there was a different selection from the norm on offer.Service was great, very... More

My partner took me there for lunch on my birthday. We were received with a warm welcome and lunch started with a tasty selection of amuse bouche of various thin, flavored baked "leaves". As it was one of the hottest days London had seen so far this year we opted not to have any wine. However that did not impair... More

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. The service was top notch: attentive but not over-bearing. Ever dish in the tasting menu was superb. I cannot recommend the tasting menu with wine pairing strongly enough. Yes, it is expensive (about $300 USD including tip), but it is worth every penny.

Myself and my girlfriend visited decided to eat here when we visited London, there is such a vast array of restaurants in London, it's difficult to choose but we definitely picked one of the best of the bunch. It's a beautiful dining room and waiting area with high ceilings, all clean white walls, and a dark wooden wall which separated... More

My partner took me here for a surprise birthday lunch. I am vegetarian and so it was an absolute treat to be able to indulge in a tasting menu. It was utterly delightful and what I loved the most was that the name of the restaurant is reflected in the food. Such cleverly designed dishes which were incredibly delicious. The... More

Went to texture with my girlfriend and it was perfectly reasonable, but the food could have come from a gastro pub. Gf had salmon starter and I had lamb main, both so so- my lamb was not pink. My scallop starter and her cod main were good. Didn't opt for dessert as we had lost a little faith, and they... More

Dear London_review_30 Thank you for taking the time to discuss your experience over the phone. While I'm very pleased that you found the service and ambience to your liking, I was disappointed to learn that salmon gravlax and elwy valley spring lamb didn't live up to your expectations. Such is the subjective nature of food and your personal opinion, but... More

I took my Scandinavian friend here for her birthday dinner as I thought she would appreciate the influences from her home combined with Michellin-starred attention to detail. We were not disappointed! We had the full tasting menu with matched prestige wine, so we could get a full experience of the kitchen and the wine cellar. I was a bit picky... More

Went for lunch. The decor is beautiful, set in a listed eighteenth century building with regency moulded ceilings. There are a number of menu choices including tasting menus. We chose the set menu lunch (2 courses for £27.90 or 3 courses for £32.90). The cuisine is largely Scandinavian-influenced and makes excellent use of local fresh British-sourced ingredients. Included was a... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
