Good food but felt rushed

The food was good but no sooner had you finished a dish the n someone would rush over and take the plate away. Then the next course would arrive. The waitress kept saying take your time but it felt like we shouldn't. The drinks are very expensive for this type of restaurant £2.70 for a bog standard... read more

We found this restaurant as we were strolling Chinatown in London (and we are always on the lookout for authentic Asian restaurants for the best dining experience). This place is a traditional Chinese menu with Japanese and Malaysian influences, so a wonderful mixture. This restaurant also happened to be one of the discounted restaurants in our London Pass, but the... More

Following a trip to the Theatre we were looking for some late sustenance and wandered through Chinatown. Settled on this place and had a super meal, we selected a set menu for 2 which was delicious and ample. The meal included the roast duck which was superb. We sat upstairs and although tables are quite close together this adds to... More

I was passing - saw the sign that said Best Roast Duck....so I thought I would try. The property looks fresh and renovated (not that matters to me in Chinatown) - more importantly I was the only non Chinese person in there - that is a good sign for me. Just as a sample I tried the Roast Duck, Grilled... More

Called in whilst on a day trip to London, with friends. Greeted warmly, we had a 5 minute wait before being seated. We all decided to go for the Set menu B for 4 people. Too much to describe in detail, but outstanding memories of the duck, dim sum, and sea bass. Very friendly staff, and really good food! Would... More

Shared the Chefs Set Menu for 2 with my wife before we set off for an evening at Ronnie Scotts. The food was delicious - all courses were good including the Coconut and Prawn soup, but especially enjoyed the scallops and the main courses - the duck, and the chicken in the Siam Curry Sauce. Service was somewhat casual but... More

Firstly, the waitress was very pushy and rude. We were simply looking at the menu and pretty much stood in our way to go else where and hurried us inside when we were unsure wether to eat here or not. The food was ok, but the waitors were scruffy and even burped when taking our order for the first course.... More

My sister-in-law and niece were in London for the first time and they loved every minute, especially the attention from the front-of-house lady Dan. Thank you so much!!

We were enticed off the street by a notice that they served crispy duck (versus Peking Duck) & we thus learned the difference! The manager took us to the front of the room to watch the chef making crispy duck and "force" us to enjoy some large samples! If you're in the West End for a night at the theater,... More

Let me split this review in two, first the food and then the service. The dim sum was ok, slightly different take on some traditional dishes but they weren't horrible. The rest was ok, nothing special, pretty average price. The problem started when the bill came. The menu says a 10% service charge WILL be added to your bill -... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
