Good as it gets in China town.

A busy Friday night in rainy China town. we looked at the hygiene scores on the door and went for the four stars awarded to Haozhan. A set menu with extras produced nice spring rolls. Duck in pancakes was over cooked and slightly dry and cucumber and celery could have looked less limp. All that... read more

Amazing Chinese restaurant in Soho/China Town. Not your usual chinese restaurant. Got very different flavour in their dishes. The dishes (seafood, meat & veg) were all amazing and not that pricey at all. The atmosphere is great, staff very friendly. Will definitely return. :)

On business in London, me and a colleague ventured down to Gerrard Street in search of some interesting and tasty Chinese food during Chinese New Year week. We definitely found it at Haozhan. We were seated downstairs but I believe there is also dining upstairs too. Our order included Salt n Pepper Squids (brilliant), Spicy Soft-Shell Crab (even better) and... More

I have been coming here for about 8 years. I have always had good service and good food. We have had some corporate events here and booked the whole upstairs for the college of anesthetists more than once - we have had superb service and great food despite large group. This time just me and my husband -- as good... More

Ensure you have the cash to pay for your meal; we were only informed after we had eaten and presented our credit card that their card payment system had gone down. I asked what happens if diners didn’t have the cash to settle their bill, they informed me there was an ATM just around the corner. Fortunately between us we... More

Wondering around China Town late night looking for food, not for the first time! came across this place and had a pretty decent meal. We let the restaurant choose a selection of dishes for us (too 'tired and emotional' to go through a fairly comprehensive menu) and received a selection of decent choices with some nice wine to wash it... Expensive for what it is and the wine was like vinegar. Would recommend going somewhere else for a good Chinese meal.

I've eaten at Haozhan a few times and have always found the food to be excellent and the staff generally pleasant. The last time I went was on Sunday with my boyfriend and we had another good meal. We tried the Crispy Chicken with Flaked Garlic in a special sauce from the Chef's specials - it was delicious - probably... More

It has been remodelled about 18months ago which took it from a "Chinese Bistro" style back to a standard Chinese offering. The food is good and the range on offer is wide - I do miss some of the more original dishes that were on offer 4 years ago but this is good Chinese food- but as others have said... More

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
