A little short of 5 stars for us ...

We had a meal at Hibiscus last year and really enjoyed it so we decided to re-visit the restaurant to see if it was as good. We both started with a glass of champagne which was light and crisp. I couldn't fault any aspect of my meal from the beautifully presented hors d'oeuvre which arrived in a... read more

The lunch menu was delicious and offered great value for money considering a michelin starred restaurant. The chef was actually in the restaurant which was surprising to see on a Wednesday lunch time. Service was attentive but not intrusive.

Had the taster menu for my girlfriend's 30th birthday celebration meal, every course was better than the last, the best meal I have ever had. The waiters and sommelier were attentive without being intrusive, service was impeccable, plates were cleared and wine was poured without us even noticing at times. Restaurant is quiet without feeling like a library, you feel... More

The food was excellent and beautifully served! I didn't check whether this is a Michelin restaurant, but it is for sure Michelin quality. The only weakness of the restaurant is its space and ambiance. It does not have any windows to any seats. So when I first walked in, I did not like the place at all. But my views... More

Arrived, seated and attended too. It was my birthday so they had a card waiting for me on the table, nice touch. We choose to celebrate in style so we choose champagne off the trolley and the 8-course anniversary tasting menu. The staff where very nice but the restaurant manager seemed to be giving is a weird look (maybe that... More

I have always loved Claude Bosi's work and admired his food and we took the 15th anniversary menu with the greatest hits from his restaurant. First with the hits, absolutely loved the devon crab with elderflower, new season almond. The crab is done masterfully and absolutely delicious with the gelee. The native lobster was cooked to perfection and the crustacean... More

A very friendly & warm greeting as we entered the restaurant. The room does need some background music to add to the ambience as the restaurant only seats 40. The food was well executed & full of flavours & they were great at accomodating my gluten intolerance, the GF bread was amazing , the best I've had. We really enjoyed... More

We splashed out in going to the Hibiscus as we were not having a holiday this year. We fell for it as it wasnt priced overly expensive, sadly when we go there the best menu was the 15 Year Celebration menu and that wasnt cheap. The whole menu was based around Spring which is a great idea, but pea and... More

I have dined here several times, and I have never left disappointed. If you compare it to the other 2-Michelin stars in London, it more than holds its own. The food is usually quite inventive to varying degrees, and always tasty. Their current set lunch menu of £49.50 for 3 courses, 1/2 bottle wine per person, coffee and petit fours... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
