Good, but not outstanding

We did the 8 course tasting menu. Around 4 of the courses were excellent - the duck in particular was incredible. The other 4 were almost too heavily engineered and got lost. The crab was pretty tasteless, mainly due to the jelly it came with. I also thought that vinegar featured too heavily in... read more

Amazing food creations served by very friendly and competent staff.I was there with several quality chefs whose opinion i respect and they were equaly impressed. The place had a relaxed feel to it compared to some michelin restaurants in London. The food was exceptional - expertly prepared and served with the minimum of fuss.

We enjoyed lunch at hibiscus on the 24th of April and had the lunch menu which at £49.50 offered fantastic value. Three courses, an amuse bouche , 1/2 a bottle of wine and coffee and petit fours. As we both had a fish starter and a red meat main we shared our wines and had white with the starter and... More

I went with a close friend to celebrate our birthdays for lunch. We went with the set menu which had a variety of choices. The wine was outstanding but the food was ok. Nothing incredible. The service was kind but confused. Took us ages to find someone to take our order. Id emailed in and discussed allergies, reminded the waiters... More

A very special dining experience ! Beautiful dining room with good buzz , not hushed. Fantastic staff - knowledgable but not stuffy The food however is the star - Claude Bosi must be one the most talented chefs in the world. Unbelievable taste sensations served with a little theatre. We had the 8 course tasting menu with many amuses bouches... More

1st time visit to Hibiscus, went for the lunch menu, which is terrific value, amouse, 3 courses, half bottle of wine, coffee and petit fours for £49, in a restaurant of this standard is value indeed. Hibiscus is tucked away just of Regent Street and if you didn't know it was there you would easily walk by it. Once inside... More

Came for supper with friends, we all had the tasting 6 courses. Everything we had was delicious, with myself not liking a few things on the menu it was no problem for the chef to change a few of the dishes for me. The staff was very attentive. Thank you guys for making our dinner a great night.

I have been fortunate to have eaten in a few 3 Michelin starred restaurant and a number of 2's and many 1's. This one sits, not surprising, with the top ones. The food was excellent both in its inventiveness as well as its flavours and of course its presentation. The restaurant is small but well set out with décor as... More

Came here for lunch with some girlfriends to catch up on gossip and enjoy great food. We decided to all go for the à la carte options and without dessert or wine, the bill for 2 courses each with coffees/teas came to £50 each which isn't cheap. But it's worth it when you enjoy the food and I was really... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
