Maybe because this was a birthday treat, lunch at Hibiscus seemed extra special. However, we have eaten there several times previously and this simply confirmed the restaurant as our favourite in town. As might be expected for a two-star Michelin restaurant, the food arrives in small, considered servings with nano-sized vegetable accompaniments that provided colour and texture as a side-show... Hibiscus is a small restaurant and when the place is half full the quietness is unnerving as there's no background music, but the place fills up most nights. The food is expensive at £90 to £140 per person. They only do set menus of whatever dishes the chef wants to make. You'll get to meet the chef at the start... More

I came with family a few weeks back. Wonderful food, great wine and the best service I have ever had. Thank you.

Hibiscus is an excellent London restaurant and delivers on all levels. The service is attentive and professional and the ratio of customers to staff high, so they are tuned into all your needs. Equally the quality and deft hand behind the dishes justifies it's Michelin rating. We were surprised at the number of additional complimentary courses that were offered to... More

The irascible and debonair Travelling Gourmet visits a 2 Michelin Star restaurant off celebrated Oxford Street in… MERRY olde England’s capital, London. On a small and peaceful street I found Hibiscus Restaurant, The Hibiscus flower is the national flower of Hawaii. The Chef here is a Frenchman, cheerful Masterchef Claude Bosi who has made England his home for umpteen years.... More

It was good. No doubt. The way in which the dishes were prepared was faultless. I think I was expecting more from the flavors but then again, I didn't know what to expect, so who knows. Top to bottom excellent service, top to bottom high quality food. I now need to experience another restaurant at this level so that I... More

Had the 6 course tasting menu and was not impressed. For a Michelin restaurant expected much better but the flavors were off and nothing really impressed me!

Visited hibiscus as part of a corporate dinner so we are downstairs in the private dining area which was very nice. The waiting staff were excellent and informed us on all the courses along with the wines that accompany them. In a nutshell, it's hard to fault anything, as the food was also very good but just didn't seem to... More

For a michelin starred restaurant the food was good, very predictable, 8 course meal and you leave hungry. The lobster was very very good, they also had an egg amuse-bouche which was rather unique but the rest of the food wasn't very impressive. One of the more expensive michelins in London, Ducasse does it better if you can find a... More
