We went as a party of 4 with the intention of taking advantage of the superbly priced £49 lunch menu, it really surprises me that anyone could think this was not exceptional value for restaurant of this calibre. We started with a velvety amuse bouche and artisan breads, for starters we all chose the Pork Pie Ravioli, so can only... More

Four had dinner - the three course a la carte option. The food was not poor but it was certainly not exceptional. The crab starter was rather bland, the hare was good but the cheese plate was pretty indifferent as were the biscuits/bread with it. The chocolate sweet course was also only OK. There were too many extra little courses,... More

Visited with some foodie friends, drawn by the commendation of "Best value Lunch in London" read somewhere last year. Similar structure to La Gavroche i.e. 3 courses, half a bottle of wine and coffee for less than £50. Still not cheap but very good value for what was delivered. My wife and I have eaten at Hibiscus when it was... More

A great restaurant made better by a fantastic chef's table. 4-8 people sit downstairs in a private area while one of the restaurants senior chef's cooks and plates up right in front of you. It gives a view on the food like no other. Given we are fish eating veggies, they were very happy to accommodate us. Not cheap, but... More

Despite great reviews, this establishment did not live up to expectations, in particular, my main of veal cheek was salty, overcooked in the sous vide and felt like anti-matter that left me completely weighed down for the rest of the day and into the next morning and likewise the glutinous, possibly reheated root vegetable coated the palate like glue. The... More

Booked this restaurant to end a great day out in London after Cirque du Soleile. We specifically looked for a Michelin star restaurant for a unique experience. It was certainly unique in the sense that I've never been served eight courses of which I could eat none! Without exaggeration this was the closest I've come to a bush tucker trial... More

Had no expectations, as I was invited... And maybe the meals always taste better when they're free... But this was amazing!! Hibiscus is a modern "haute cuisine" restaurant leaning on French flavours, inspired by the seasons. We opted for a 3 course meal, but I'm sure I counted 9... Indulgence all the way, and don't regret it a bit! Everything... More

I took a client here for a well-deserved meal. I was amazed that the restaurant called to confirm the booking and to see if there was a special occasion. I mentioned that it was a business meeting however the chap I was entertaining had told me it was his birthday. Long story short – great reception, amazing service and good... More

After seeing the restaurant featured on Master Chef (the professionals) we booked made a reservation for the lunchtime 3 course menu - £49 pp as a special treat during a visit to London. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food however was a huge disappointment. We chose different starter, main and dessert so 6 different dishes. Each sounded... More

5th or 6th time here and never disappoints. Fantastically fresh ingredients (never had the same dish twice, which I kinda like), superb wine matching (although the wine that my companion has with the truffles was, ahem, challenging! _But_ it did go with the food!), Service is excellent without being overbearing. We went for the 6 courses and made a mistake... More
