Taste of Paris at Harrods

Nice selection of macarons, cakes and pastries tempt you at Laduree making you feel like being in Paris. Service is prompt and much more polite in here than you ever get in France. Their lemon sponge cake was tasty, but the coffee (americano) ws wstery amd tadteless.

The pastries were delicious but the service and sandwiches were poor. Overall, overpriced and underwhelming. It is clearly trading off it's location in Harrod's rather than its merits.

Before departing London I had to stop by to buy some pastries for my family! Theya re simply amazing. While the shop is tiny (really tiny), the service is excellent and you feel fancy!

Laduree is the stuff dreams are made of! Perfection. The pastries and macarons are out of the world. The place is very Marie Antoinette. If you are ever in London and want to experience what exceptional desserts taste like, try Laduree.

Had the most divine wild mushroom omelette here. Ask for it to be cooked 'medium'. I promise you- you will love it. The restaurant is French with beautiful decor and a sense of opulence. I was there with my disabled Mum (in a wheelchair) and the staff were excellent ensuring we were comfortably installed at the table. Great place for... More

This place is typical of "luxury" offerings. Spacious and peaceful surroundings and a certain air of pretence about it. I personally felt it was overpriced for the offering - the food was nice but I have had far nicer for far less money. I very much get the impression that this is a place to be seen rather than a... I had a fig and date macaron and immediately wanted a second one. Worth the price, the flavour is extraordinary! Very pretty too :)

I've visited here three times now, each time getting a takeout of pastries. These are always beautifully presented and very tempting. There are lots of macaroons on offer. Tastewise though, these could be better. I couldn't even taste the liquorice in my macaron on Saturday! It is also pretty pricey, even by London's standards.

Elegant, very French, pretty. Their version of Eggs Benedict was two soft boiled eggs on French style bread, with the best Hollandaise Sauce I have ever had. The French toast was covered with raspberries and rose cream which was delicious. The coffee was weak and they used teabags instead of loose leaf tea. A bit too expensive for what you... More

My sisters and I quite often go for afternoon tea here. We are always impressed by the food and cakes. The portions are just right and we often order different cakes and sandwiches to halve and have a taste of everything. The waiters always tell us which are the newest flavours and which things they would recommend which is grand.... More
