Off the beaten track in Holborn... Under an archway from Proctor Street. London Buses 8, 25, 242. Allegedly the subject of a recent management team buy out, this former Roxy diner, goes from strength to strength and has out slaughtered local rivals. Upstairs boasts a bar surrounded by upholstered banquettes. Whereas to those in the know, the action's all happening... More

Thank you for the praise, Craig B, and please keep coming for Head Cook Roxy Beaujolais' continual climb from strength to strength! We can't report any management buyout for our (comparatively) venerable steakhouse, but if that ever happens we are sure you would be right to expect The Bountiful Cow to maintain its glorious legacy. This is by no means high-end dining however a great place for group bookings if looking for decent good quality and good sized steaks. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We (group of 11) had a great time.

I was in the area and wanted somewhere to have a quick bite. I opted for the sirloin steak with chimichurri sauce, chips and a side salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce and sides were delicious, I can't wait to return for another meal.

Went for lunch on Saturday with a couple of friends ... Place was pretty deserted ,I had the steak tartare , friends had burger and steak ....the food was decent enough wasn't blow you away good , but perfectly fine. The place just rather lacked any atmosphere as it was deserted.

We have been visiting for 10 years and have never had anything except expertly selected and cooked steaks. Today we began with two perfect pints of Adnams while we peruse do the menus. The starters we chose were goats cheese, Sephardic pate, duck rillette and the spicy sausage from the specials board. For mains we enjoyed three rib eyes each... More

Really friendly little pub in Holborn, had the club sandwich which was delicious. Friends had the baby burger, there was nothing baby about it, it was huge. Reasonably priced and a good location. Doesn't get too busy as it's tucked away on Dane street, so it's not immediately obvious to find, but with a 2 minute walk to Holborn station... More

OMG. My favourite place to eat a bit of steak at lunch time that will not cost anyone an "arm and leg". Very yummy and a must try if you are in the area.
