The first problem we had was that the beer was on the turn; not bad enough to send back back but I swapped for my second pint onto the beer which my friend swapped away from (unknown to me). The food was alright, but the sauce was the same quality as my local Wetherspoons. Then the bill arrived, we were... More

Have been in the area many times, but saw the Bountiful and thought I'd give it a try with a good friend of mine. What a pleasant surprise. Good use of space in the bar, friendly atmosphere, and great food, tasty, well prepared and plentiful. It was quick and easy and good value. Definitely will visit again soon.

If you like meat, you'll like the cow. More specifically beef. At first it seems a little pricey but when you see the portion size and taste the quality of the food, you'll be satisfied. Good service, they accommodated 11 of us (even though we added one person without notice). Great stuff. I got the burger and chips. Standard, yet... More

I just love this restaurant which is why I only bring my nearest and dearest here. The food is fantastic.. Wine is quality...I always prefer to go earlier (7:00 pm ish) for dinner as it's cosier. The waitress is great, the waiter could learn from the waitress. However, overall it's a great evening at the Bountiful.... In my books still... More

I was intrigued by the marketing of this pub/restaurant but was a little disappointed by the dining experience. The main restaurant is in a basement, with no natural light, and the minimalist table settings reinforce the 'pubby' positioning. Maybe it was because I visited in a Tuesday, but there was a distinct lack of atmosphere to both the pub and... More

I went to the bountiful cow once on many of my travel to London in business. Always looking for something special using trip adviser app and found this place not far from the hotel. It was definitely worth both the hassle to find it but also for the bounty burger and the mushrooms. I got absolutely stuffed and I had... More

We chose this because he wanted a steak.. Nice little place up a side street with no other pubs restaurants etc so must rely on recommendations/ regular trade ... And Trip Advisor . No faulting the steak - it was lovely but the accompanying starter we ordered didn't arrive - the chips and onion rings were frozen and the goats... More

Thanks for "no faulting the steak," Sassencas. On your bill at The Bountiful Cow, I did a careful study of prices at London steakhouses a few months ago, comparing fine beef prices, like for like and gram by gram with ours, which I am happy to post to any who ask. Spoiler alert: The Bountiful Cow's prices are lower or... More

Having read the reviews for this place I decided it sounded like a great place with good food so we took a cab over from the City. On arrival we were shown to a cosy table and ordered some drinks. 10 minutes later they still hadn't arrived so I went to the bar & finally got my drinks. We ordered... More

The waitress on the night in question was perfectly sober, but was taken ill (nothiing catching). She had tried to soldier on, but Cveta our manager ordered her home. Apologies to Charlie 7635 and any other customers whose service may have been influenced without getting an explanation. Please come again-- our staff is normally in as tip top condition as... More
