We were in London for a few days and wanted a steak . Found this place here on Trip Advisor only 2 blocks from the Rosewood Hotel where we were staying. Had a pleasant walk over and found a quaint neighborhood restaurant/pub. A few tables outside on the sidewalk, doors open; open air feel on a perfect day in London.... More

My husband and I take an apartment in Red Lion Square every summer and one of the highlights of our stay is The Bountiful Cow, where we go most nights to relax and unwind after a day spent running around town. Great atmosphere, extremely welcoming and the manager, Cveta, is a sweetheart.

I love this place. Its a little bit hidden and out of the way but still seems to always be busy, with a lovely atmosphere. The steaks a truly delicious & the bernaise sauce to die for! Me & my friend shared the surf & turf which was perfect for 2 people & great value. I highly recommend this if... More

I have been to The Bountiful Cow a few times and it never fails to impress! The service, the food and the wine are all top notch. We always thought it was a bit of a secret destination but it seems to be (rightfully) becoming very popular so I would advise booking. We hadn't booked last night but the staff... More

Went for somewhere quiet off the packed main streets of london and found this place. The place was very quiet for a Saturday but preferred this to loud and brash punters. Had the 14oz monster of a burger and it was fantastic, freshly made , and I tried the homemade sausages which were also amazing. The ambience is nice with... More

We booked through their website as they had different special offers on and we wanted to use them. I have to say we were not disapointed. Th burger was huge and delicious, the steak platter we had could have fed 3, but the 2 of us gave it a good try. The service was prompt and friendly and the location... More

Ok, the food and the service were fine... the steaks were decent and cooked as we asked, but maybe a bit pricey. They also forgot to serve us a side salad we asked with the steaks, but we reminded the waitress and it was served shortly afterwards. But the manager was really rude (guy from eastern Europe I would think,... More

While the meat was acceptable (not good, mind you) the manager was UNBELIEVABLY rude. Absolutely unprofessional, and even threatening at some point. By all means, avoid this place, at least until they hire a true professional. With that kind of an attitude towards the customer, I wonder the kind of things that can go on in that kitchen.

I try to make obliging responses, and apologies for deserved criticism, but in this case I can't. Our manager Cveta Dukovska is the most sunny-tempered, considerate and solicitous person my partner Roxy and I have found in half a lifetime of running pubs and restaurants. It is simply unbelievable that she has ever been unprofessional or rude to anyone ("apart... More

Eight of us were here on a Friday evening for dinner. The steaks were generally quite good and most people who ordered them were pleased although the rump was very chewy. Two of our group saw the 'outstanding sausages and mash' on the menu and decided to give them a try due to their description. Calling them outstanding is incredibly... More

Thanks, Hannahlev, for your deserved appreciation of our steaks. On our "Outstanding Sausages and Mash," the menu description is supposed to indicate that they are different / better from the usual kind. The Napoli sausages we have been featuring lately, and the Toulouse sausages that are often served at The Bountiful Cow's sister pub, The Seven Stars, just aren't presented... More
