I have been organising Christmas Parties, for a large group of my friends (around 30 of us) for 7 years now and I can say with my hand on my heart, this is the best venue we have ever celebrated in. The food was delicious, the staff were fantastic and the whole event was so well organised that I find... More

Hi Denna we are glad everyone had such a good time and look forward to seeing you all again next Christmas , if not before then for another special occasion. Just a shame Mrs . Santa did not survive the festivities and Mr.Santa is all alone now ! Mike More

About a dozen of us met in one of The Hoop's rooms to hear a new comedy show run-through and the manager Mike and staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The pub is warm, friendly with a great selection of beers and wines (house wines were excellent) and a real gem on Farringdon. There is also heated... More

This quaint pub is situated on Aldgate High Street, close to the tube station, and is quite an amazing place to look at from the outside as the building has 'moved' about 18 inches over the years and you can see this in the line of the windows. The food is basic but very good quality, and the service we... More

Attended with a group of colleagues for a beer tasting evening. Beers very good..... about 7 to sample along with usual lagers etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food also very good. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

I wonder how many times I have either walked straight past this place or been within tasting distance of a cracking pint that they serve here. Lovely pub as tucked away as you can be in central London. Great staff , great ranges of ales and continental beers and seemingly good choice of food with plenty of diners. No food... More

Really nice pub. Friendly staff and a good range of beers on tap. Food was decent, maybe a touch overlooked but that really is the only minor quibble. Pooped in a few times on my trip to the capital.

We came here when it was quite empty. I asked if I could watch a German soccer game and the waitress did not hesitate to turn on the game. The service was lovely, beer tasty and atmosphere very nice. I will most definitely visit this place again during my next stay in London.

I had my 30th at the Hoop and Grapes a couple of months ago in the function room on the 1st floor. Mike was great, calling me to double check arrangements a couple of days before, clearing the space of tables to make a dance floor and setting up the hifi. We had use of the terrace and a private...
