Description: Come up and melt away the afternoon in the new Parlour Restaurant, now open on the first floor of Fortnum & Mason. Here, you will find exceptional ice cream, extraordinary hot chocolate and your very favourite cakes. Treats include ice cream and sorbet flights, three cones filled with three ices. You can also have the classic Knickerbocker Glory - vanilla bean, strawberry and cream ice creams with raspberries, chunks of pineapple, raspberry coulis and topped with whipped cream and candy sugar. Don't forget to try the Esterhazy Cake. Named after a Hungarian nobleman and now one of Austria's most famous cakes, it is made up of layers of hazelnut sponge filled with white butter cream and topped with sugar icing.

Visited here with my boyfriend for an afternoon tea and dessert. We ordered one pot of tea (with enough tea in it for about 6 cups!) and a knickerbocker glory ice cream sundae. The knickerbocker glory was lovely and the tea tasted good too. Half way through the meal my boyfriend decided that he fancied a cuppa too and we... More

Went here over the weekend! Terrible service, rude staff, the chef is obnoxious, rude, self important and feels he is above all his customers! Please save your money, save your time and go somewhere else! I will never go back here and bite with my wallet which the parlour will never see again! Good riddance!

After we had a small taste sample of their ice cream on the ground floor, we decided to go upstairs to sit down and have some more. We had a strawberry smoothie which was the best we ever tasted, and the ice cream was devine!! The reason why we only give this place a 3 is due to the extremly... More

If you want to have a marvellous afternoon tea experience, you should go to Fortnum & Mason on Picadilly and go up to the first floor (US: 2nd) and ahve some tea and cake. Go for the Royal Blend or the Darjeeling Broken Orange Pekoe and the Chocolate Truffle cake - simply amazing! All served in traditional silverware with all... More

We had afternoon tea here which is ok as are the food offerings nothing special to write home about although the tea and cocktails are good some of the staff need to understand the etiquette of servicing tables and not just try and lean across others or plonk down orders that are not for you

I met up with a friend for coffee, cake and a chat. We had planned to go to the Fountain, but there were no tables free. So we went upstairs to the Parlour. The service was slow, as is noted on other reviews, but this was not a problem at all for us on this occasion. The location is so... More

Oh dear…where to start? This was beyond disappointing to the point of almost being funny. 2 small lunch plates were ordered from the Savoury Treats and Salads menu: the warm fig and blue cheese salad and the Welsh rarebit served on crumpets. To describe these as small was a blatant misdescription as "teensy-weensy" would be closer to accuracy. Further, the... More

I don't mind paying over and above for somewhere like F&M as it's a treat. I do mind poor service at this cost. Staff need a wake up call here - standing around chatting and laughing, having to ask everytime we wanted to order/get the bill. Fed back bad stuff to waiter once finally got the bill and asked that... More

High end ice-creams and treats for the children. Lovely quality pot of tea for me! Will go again but not rushing back.

We had planned to visit the F&M Parlour for the Famous knickerbocker glory, we had a good look around the shop then headed over, glad we went when we did as we waited in the queue for a table for at least 15 mins but the poor people behind us waited a lot longer, to me I took this as... More
