Description: Come up and melt away the afternoon in the new Parlour Restaurant, now open on the first floor of Fortnum & Mason. Here, you will find exceptional ice cream, extraordinary hot chocolate and your very favourite cakes. Treats include ice cream and sorbet flights, three cones filled with three ices. You can also have the classic Knickerbocker Glory - vanilla bean, strawberry and cream ice creams with raspberries, chunks of pineapple, raspberry coulis and topped with whipped cream and candy sugar. Don't forget to try the Esterhazy Cake. Named after a Hungarian nobleman and now one of Austria's most famous cakes, it is made up of layers of hazelnut sponge filled with white butter cream and topped with sugar icing.

We called in for tea and cake after shopping in the store and it was lovely. We shared the duo of scones and I had tea while my wife had a coke float. Will definitely be calling again.

Was recommended Parlour by a friend, what a gem. Great welcome on arrival from staff, even though we had a buggy and 4 month old!! They were very accommodating. Really interesting menu, nice touch with soda bread. My beef was exceptional everything cooked and presented beautifully. So good to see a place so full on a Sunday and not giving... More

Great value for money. We had brunch followed by ice cream sundaes and coffees. The coffees come with little ice cream cones on the side which is a lovely little treat =) Although pricey, it is really good value for money. The service is excellent and there's loads of choice of ice creams. Was perfect on a hot day in... More

OK, it is pricey, but once in a way it's worth it for the style. And my ice cream was very good, and a generous portion. The only thing that stops me rating it very good is that the staff were rather snooty, and it was hard to both place an order and get the bill.

I had been so excited to go to The Parlour, however after reading recent reviews on Tripadvisor I began to worry that it wouldn't be very good. Thankfully, my experience was very different to recent reviews. I thought it was absolutely wonderful! We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday. There was a little queue, however a member of staff immediately... More

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. I was surprised by the limited menu. While we waited to be seated, I had noticed that they had sprinkles, so I was able to order them for my child's ice cream. I don't understand why the different topping options aren't listed on the menu. We enjoyed the flavours we had chosen. I didn't... More

I was extremely excited to have found The Parlour, via Timeout's dessert list. Having waited a week and a half I finally finished work and had a quick dinner before making my way however I was running 15 minutes late. I phoned up the number provided by Opentable however, after a numerous attempts on calling the number it was not... More

I have been going to Fortnums for an ice cream sundae since I was a child and yesterday was the end of an era as I won't be going there again. There used to be a full menu, especially of interesting sundaes that were lovely. Now the menu is much abbreviated and there are just five. They are still good,... More

We had a late afternoon lunch at The Parlour. The Welsh Rarebit was delicious. But the best part of the entire meal was the delicious and decadent hot chocolate. The frothed chocolate milk came in a small pitcher to pour over the chocolate at the bottom of the cup. It came with a small chocolate ice cream cone on the... More

As you walk through this gorgeous shop of gorgeous treats and beautiful displays everybody calls you sir or madam and the staff will bend over backwards to help you. HOWEVER... The parlour on a sunny afternoon in london is a definite no go area... 5pm in the afternoon the place was dead... Waited for 7 mins for the staff to... More
