Great Indian in Angel

This is good, proper Indian food! Generous portions and great flavours abound. However, some of the sauces didn't have the depth of flavour and the lamb wasn't as tender as you'd expect. But still it was a delicious meal. One of our party has food allergies but the manager spoke to her and... read more

Came here with my finance the other night. Great friendly service. Delicious spicy (just the right amount) dishes. Both had the grand thali. Great veggie options. Hope standards remain.

I went to Masala Zone for a group work booking, so didn't book it myself. I was dubious about going for an Indian meal at a chain, as I love traditional Indian food. We ate from the party menu. I had the Aloo tikki chaat to start followed by the Chicken Mangalore. Both were really nice with large portions. The... More

We always look forward to a thali at Masala Zone but recently we noticed that the quality has dropped. This was the second time at Upper Street and probably the last. Food was cold and when we ordered a naan something strange arrived at the table, probably an uncooked naan, very flat and thin. The thali itself did not have... More

Very stylish and comfortable atmosphere. Great food and professional kind service. Many vegetarian options and the peshwari nan is amazing. The Thai plat was really good and I warmly recommend this place

Eight of us went here for a meal. The restaurant was clean, tidy and the seating was good. The menu did not have a very large choice. However there was a good variety. For starters most of us had onion bajhi which we all enjoyed. We had various main meals, which were all tasty although some servings had a lack of... More

Tried to find an authentic Indian in the Islington area couldn't so ended up here. Asked for two papadoms each and two halves each turned up with minuscule amounts of chutney etc. Main meals tasted like it was mass produced and couldn't really hear any cooking going on. Food was pleasant enough but would I go here again not unless... More

Went here recently with a friend. The food is reasonably priced with excellent service. The food was very good. I wish there had been more choice of main curries, but the food was really very good. For a chain of restaurants it is well worth a visit. Very tasty!!
