Came here for dinner after the cinema with friends, we chose to have some starters firstly which were bajhis: tasty, fresh and crispy and samosas; these has some kind of odd filling which I didn't like too much personally but the others didn't mind it so it all got eaten nevertheless. In addition to this we orders one "Thali" plate... More

nice restaurant in a very nice location on Upper Street next to the Screen on the Green. Meal for two with a glass of wine and a beer came in at £50.00. One of us had the Grand Thali and the other just the normal Thali. We shared a starter. Food was faultless and would visit again.

I couldn't fault the food here, it was really nice (if you like indian food). The menu is quite limited and didn't serve my favourite Indian dish but I did enjoy what I had. However, the one thing that was a bit off-putting was that it seemed like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant. The food... More

I recently ate here with some family, we had good time. The waiter was lovely and very keen on giving a decent service. The food was nice, it's not your typical English take on Indian food, it's slightly different but still very good. The price for the meal I thought was reasonable for the amount of food you get and... More

Went there with friends where we were happy to select from the special offer lunch menu. Good food but the bill was not as straightforward as we'd expected. No discount after all as the prices were 'already discounted'. Slightly misleading I'd say.

Am regular to Masala Zone, Islington as I live locally. We have visited many times and never disappointed. This place is more like restaurant serving Indian food rather than Indian restaurant. if you are used to local curry house and expect the similar dishes than you definitely not like it. But if you wish to open up little bit and... More

Decent meal, but nothing extraordinary about it. Well-sized portion. The chicken wrap was spicy as expected, but similar to what you could find at any take-away.

I am not a fussy Eater. And go to many many Indian restaurants (and I am Indian) but as mentioned before by other reviews I was lured in by the nice decor. As soon as we sat down, the waiter was rushing to give us the menu and rushed off again. Not a very welcoming start. Starters were fine. Found... More

We were lured in by the big full length windows and stylish interior design, sadly that's pretty much the only thing the place has going for it! SERVICE: Sat by someone who just chucked the menus on the table and walked off. We didn't really 'get' the menu so asked for someone to explain it to us. Their reply? 'Didn't... More

We went there Sunday afternoon - staying in the area and we wanted to test the Indian kitchen. Very good indeed it was, but our drink (classic mojito) seemed to be almost without rum....Mistake ? We had lamb, chicken and shrimps served with rice, hot sauce etc.etc. The dish was supposed to be a combination of a starter and main course-... More
