Description: At Ma Goa Restaurant, my Mother and her team prepare their favourite dishes using family recipes passed downthe generations. Our menu takes inspiration from the beautiful palm fringed region of Goa (where my Ma learnt to cook) but also takes influences from other parts of India.Since its opening in 1993, we have won critical acclaim from many top critics & we take pride in the fact that we are a genuine family-run restaurant. Our mission has always been to serve tasty, fresh, unpretentious home-style cooking in a warm & friendly setting.Situated 2 minutes away from Putney British Rail & 5 minutes away from East Putney Tube it makes a perfect venue before a night on the town. We also offer a popular take-away & free local delivery service & a party catering service. We look forward to welcoming you to Ma Goa soon.

The restaurant is a really nice layout with a relaxed busy vibe. The staff were efficient and very knowledgeable about the food, they were very helpful answering our questions about dietary requirements. The food was nice, not the best indian I've ever had, but interesting and different to more traditional indian. Perhaps it was my choices, but some of the... More

Putney lacks certain style of restaurants like a good curry house with style but this has it all. Good service with good knowledge of all the dishes. It's a family run restaurant with a friendly service and a good welcome. Food was excellent and was good value as the portions are good although the price is quite high but you... More

The food in Ma Goa is truly delicious. The food is SO fresh. The flavours so distinct, you can almost pick out the different ingredients. You know instantly you are in the hands of a lady with true culinary passion. Ma Goa clearly knows her dishes inside out, there is real love in every mouthful! We ate the Prawn Kodi... More

Perfectly spuced lamb and chicken dishes, nicely cooked rice with crispy fried onion and a very moorish daal. On a busy night the service wss attentive and speedy too. Very impressed. Pretty good value at... More

Stuffed papard and goanese chorizp were tasty appetisers...we then had a fish curry and the Naryal lamb which were both excellent. The choice of dishes on the menu has been reduced with the emphasis on offering as much fresh produce as possible on a daily basis. Well worth a visit,

Went here for a family dinner last night and it was wonderful. Delicious, fresh, fragrant, perfectly spiced food. Service was fast and friendly. We were in the main dining room at the back of the restaurant and it really filled up on a Saturday night so I think it's best to book ahead. The highlight was definitely the slow cooked... More

There are not many Goanese restaurants in London. Ma Goa has been highly recommended for many years and we at long last made it there The menu is a mix of Goanese and some more usual Indian dishes. We were a large group that allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with papadoms and a plate of... More

A very enjoyable meal, we ordered starters that were not on the menu, but confidently delivered by the kitchen nevertheless. For main most of us had the lamb shank, which is one of the house specialties. It was very good, but I wouldn't say it blew me away. We also had various vegetable side dishes, spinach, aubergine and occra (this... More

Excellent Goan food - prepare to sample Indian food that you will seldom find elsewhere. Excellent service, fresh produce and nice selection of wine. Recommended.

Visited with a friend midweek and it was full by 8pm. Very tasty and filling food that took me back to travelling in India last year. Affordable too - starters and mains each, and sharing a sorbet came to £25 each. Would return.
