Description: At Ma Goa Restaurant, my Mother and her team prepare their favourite dishes using family recipes passed downthe generations. Our menu takes inspiration from the beautiful palm fringed region of Goa (where my Ma learnt to cook) but also takes influences from other parts of India.Since its opening in 1993, we have won critical acclaim from many top critics & we take pride in the fact that we are a genuine family-run restaurant. Our mission has always been to serve tasty, fresh, unpretentious home-style cooking in a warm & friendly setting.Situated 2 minutes away from Putney British Rail & 5 minutes away from East Putney Tube it makes a perfect venue before a night on the town. We also offer a popular take-away & free local delivery service & a party catering service. We look forward to welcoming you to Ma Goa soon.

Stuffed papard and goanese chorizp were tasty appetisers...we then had a fish curry and the Naryal lamb which were both excellent. The choice of dishes on the menu has been reduced with the emphasis on offering as much fresh produce as possible on a daily basis. Well worth a visit,

Went here for a family dinner last night and it was wonderful. Delicious, fresh, fragrant, perfectly spiced food. Service was fast and friendly. We were in the main dining room at the back of the restaurant and it really filled up on a Saturday night so I think it's best to book ahead. The highlight was definitely the slow cooked... More

There are not many Goanese restaurants in London. Ma Goa has been highly recommended for many years and we at long last made it there The menu is a mix of Goanese and some more usual Indian dishes. We were a large group that allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with papadoms and a plate of... More

A very enjoyable meal, we ordered starters that were not on the menu, but confidently delivered by the kitchen nevertheless. For main most of us had the lamb shank, which is one of the house specialties. It was very good, but I wouldn't say it blew me away. We also had various vegetable side dishes, spinach, aubergine and occra (this... More

Excellent Goan food - prepare to sample Indian food that you will seldom find elsewhere. Excellent service, fresh produce and nice selection of wine. Recommended.

Visited with a friend midweek and it was full by 8pm. Very tasty and filling food that took me back to travelling in India last year. Affordable too - starters and mains each, and sharing a sorbet came to £25 each. Would return.

We ordered dinner from here recently, so can't comment on the service on site. Delivery was fast, we had it within 30-40 minutes. The Goan sausage appetizer was good, although a bit oily. The garlic naan was tasty, could have been thinner. The Goan veg curry was good - ask for the Hot version as the Medium one isn't spicy... More

This is undoubtedly one of the best Indian restaurants in London, perhaps the world. Many restaurants offer specialties from under appreciated culinary areas of India, but rely on their better - known northern Indian dishes. Not here. It's Goan, like the name says. Goa is a part of India that was colonized by the Portuguese from about 1500 until 1961.... More

Had a quick bite last night at Ma Goa last night. Hadn't been for a while and had forgotten how good it is. Great food and quiet, efficient and un-fussy service. Great intense flavours showing care and thought. Definitely will not leave it as long next time.
