Small intimate place. Modest restaurant Food is fresh and feels healthy. Suitable especially for vegans and vegetarians.

The food was wonderful and there was a very large selection. Portions are also quite big, and the prices are fairly cheap. You don't have to be a vegeterian to enjoy a meal there. The place is quite crowded, which I usually don't enjoy, but I think it works out fine and adds the place character. Definitly not fancy or... More

As someone who goes to the theatre on a fairly regular basis, this place is an absolute gem of a find - a friend discovered it via an App - you could very easily blink and miss it, with it's very tiny frontage and innocuous menu posted outside. There is a very small eating area both upstairs and down -... More

This place is more than average really, but less than very good. Always pretty busy and some tasty dishes but only a few options and not the heartiest of portions. I go now and again though as it's quick and has a vegan option. Worth a look if you're in Covent Garden area, but maybe not a trip out of... More

Food for Thought has been one of my London lunch time favorites since I ate here as a college student in 1978. Now in London with my wife for a professional conference, we were pleased to suggest Food for Thought to an old friend from back home we were spending some time with. It certainly did not disappoint. The creative,... More

I was so excited that I was finally going to eat at Food for Thought! Ground level is for takeaway, which I knew from my online research, so I immediately went downstairs. It's a small place, with shared tables, which is nice if you are looking for a different experience, especially if you are alone in a foreign country, which... More

No need to say much. Like most of the other reviewers said, the food is great. It was a nice experience for a quick bite. Customers share tables, eat, and leave. They offer a couple of options, so you will find something you will like.

If you're expecting waiters in bow ties, a wine list and food that takes up barely a fraction of the plate it is served on, this place isn't for you. If tasty, no nonsense, home-style veggie food is your thing however, you will be very pleased! The basement dining area isn't fancy, but the friendly staff behind the counter happily... More

Whenever I get a day off, this is where I go and spend the entire afternoon. The food is delicious, healthy, vegetarian and vegan. I can say their quiche is the most amazing ever tried, same for the wheat-free/dairy-free/vegan desserts. I've never had a meal there which disappointed me. And the staff is lovely!

I LOVE Food for Thought so much. If pushed I would say it's my absolutely favourite place to eat in the world. The food suits me perfectly - hearty, rustic-style, healthy vegan cooking. The food is simple and honest and outstandingly delicious. I've never had a meal there I haven't enjoyed but a few really stand out: their stews are... More
