Delicious homely food

To just see that Food for Thought is closing is so sad! My sister took me to the restaurant while I was in London and the food was delicious. I had a quiche and salad, while she had a bean dish, both excellent. Prices are good here, especially for a lunch and it's a wonderful place to eat. Such a... read more

I came here with my mum who loves this place. The prices were reasonable, the food was delicious and the portions were just right! It's such a shame that the council have decided to increase the rent only to probably have another chain store take over as we move into the age of the clone high streets. Hopefully the owners... The food here is great and really makes you feel energetic and good when you leave. You don't get that lethargic feeling yet you are still full! I had the spanish lentils with salad and it was awesome, first time coming..customer for life!

In 1980 I went to Drama School in London and ate my first vegetarian meal here. It was perfect then and still is. So, I have been eating here for 35 years. It hasn't changed at all and I am glad of it. I love the atmosphere of the place. I love the cosiness of the communal eating, the friendliness... More

For 40 years this small cafe near covent garden has been serving up some flavorful and unique vegetarian cuisine. They are slated to close in late June 2015 and I can't encourage you enough to try their food whilst you can. Usually a variety of soups, salads and hot dishes are on offer. I've eaten here for close to 20... More

Small cafe style vegetarian place. Good value, good food, nice people, tight space. Very good crumble! I came here because I used to own the food for thought cookbook in the 1980's and was worth a visit.

It's a bit of an experience lining up to go down the stairs to order but worth the wait. My Moroccan tagine was miles better than the ones I had in Morocco. The bread would have been nicer toasted but for a healthy meal I definitely recommend you eat here. All meals come with enticingly fresh salad.

Please visit before it closes on 21st of June. Tasty, reasonable vegetarian food served by staff who really care about producing the best. Minimalist décor and subterranean dining all add to its charm. I have been eating there for years and will miss it dreadfully when it goes.

I've been working locally for over 20 years and have been frequenting it for most of that time. Quite simply it offers a unique style of food - healthy, vegetarian, fresh. They have a different main dish each day for £5.50 along with the daily regular quiche and salad or stir fry veg and brown rice. It gets very busy,... More

we have eaten here and had takeouts on numerous occasions and the mass produced veggy dishes of the day always hit the mark at decent, but not cheap, prices. their stews are always a sure winner & make sure you make room for their wonderful dessert of mixed berry scrunch. a great way to refuel in between hitting the shops...
