I used to come here for lunch many years ago when i had a stall at Covent garden, i loved it then and when i visited it today with my sister i love it even more. delicious healthy food all hand made fresh everyday and such good value. The chickpea and aubergine stew with salad and freshly made bread were... More

A tiny place where you'll probably have to queue on the stairs to order then eat perched on a stool at a shared table in a cramped basement but totally worth it for the always delicious varied food all cooked fresh daily from scratch on the premises. Charming, helpful, knowledgeable staff, generous portions, very reasonable prices. Every day there's a... More

We ate here on Saturday evening prior to our visit to the Cambridge theatre. Yes, it is basic fayre and surroundings and you probably will have to share a table, but the food was delicious (Mediterranean olive and bean stew with rice and mixed salads), the portions massive, and incredibly cheap by London standards. Will definitely re-visit and try the... More

The food is always delicious. The quiche is wonderful, the curry is flavourful (though not spicy), there are always a few salad options, and the desserts are delicious. Staff is friendly, however the place itself is tiny. It's usually safest to take away, as finding a seat can be difficult. Worth it though!

After hearing good things about "Food for thought" in Covent garden I went to eat there today and I can't begin to tell you how bad it was! The tables were dirty, the service was horrible, I had to eat with my coat on because it was freezing, toilets SUPER dirty and NO hand wash!!! Very uncomfortable sits, expensive compared... More

To enjoy the delicious food at this long established tiny restaurant. Take away upstairs and eat in in the cellar. The strawberry and banana scrunch is particularly good. I have been coming here lunchtimes when I'm in the area for almost thirty years and it never disappoints.

Went out for a birthday dinner with my girlfriend and our dear friend who is incrediable health concious, and we were not dissapointed! One of the best vegan/veggie reaturants i have ever been to! Keep in mind that there is limited space inside and that if you want drinks other then water you need to bring them yourself. (No corkerage... More

The food was great. vegetarian or not, you'll find something on the menu with different stews, quiche, sheppard's pie etc on the menu. It is busy, so you will have to wait to get our meal. note that it is CASH ONLY. no debit cards.

We found Food for Thought whilst wandering about looking for a pre-theatre dinner. The tiny premises was heaving before 6.00pm and when we sampled their vegetarian fare we realised why. It was cramped; you ordered from the counter but the food was wonderful: an aubergine melange, accompanying enriched frisee salad and a huge chunk of garlic and pesto bread washed... More

This restaurant has been supported for decades and whilst the food on the face of it is appetising and varied the restaurant is dirty and dated, to such an extent that I worry about basic hygeine. This was compounded when I visited yesterday and witnessed mice in the downstairs section running around between the tables. The area was full of... More
