Came for dinner to this lovely pub with my husband Toby, the food was delicious, I had the venison fillet and my husband ate the goose leg, the pub had a great atmosphere and the food is the reason we will be coming back, as we are excited to try other dishes on Holly bushes menu. The service was also... More

This is an institution and of the many times I have been there it's always had great service and food. Also pet friendly which adds to the atmosphere. It's pretty much always busy so booking essential. The Sunday roast are the best around.

We went there just after Christmas and had some winter English food (beef pie, mushroom pie and a spectacular Sticky toffee pudding) we have been coming for years and this place has always been in my heart, seating next to fire place having a cup of tea but never tried the food until someone told me they have a French... It has been some time since we last went and we were quite looking forward to our Friday 13 February evening out as we decided to avoid the Valentine crowds. Perhaps timing was our mistake: on the eve of Valentine's day the staff were either asleep or confused, the bread was served stale and still frozen, wine took several reminders... More

It has been a very long time, since my first visit to this historic pub of "Hampstead Village"; it's been also 10 years since the time I had invited friends for my name day party! I was there again on Sunday 4th January this year, to enjoy lunch and find out again that the traditional atmosphere remains the same! I... More

Really nice waitress but the food wasn't good (greasy fish and chips and my friend said the roast dinner just wasn't nice). Really annoying people there and as you're so squashed in they are difficult to ignore! Won't go again.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. The place was heaving and chaotic. The bar staff were slow and unable to distinguish who to serve next. The bar is too wide so it takes up too much of the main saloon, meaning wherever you stand you are in someone else's way, whilst the bar staff have... More

Went to the Holly Bush for a birthday lunch having been twice last year in the Winter and had wonderful food. This could not have been a more different experience. Has the management changed I wonder? The menu itself was strangely unappealing. The food now seems to be just generic pub grub - thrice cooked chips and food arriving on... More

I've always heard good things about this pub, until I had the opportunity to go there on the last day of my holiday in London, and I must say that I was fascinated. I spent my time sat nearby a warm fireplace, drinking a couple of pint of beer. A great atmosphere. I can't wait to come back there.
