Description: Elegant Japanese styling and delicious fresh food await you at London's Benihana Restaurant. Benihana is a favourite not only of tourists but of locals fresh from the nearby offices, relaxing with colleagues or indeed entertaining clients. In keeping with the Benihana brand the chain began in New York way back in 1964, this means that this year, 2014 is our 50th anniversary. This superb Japanese restaurant swaps the conventional kitchen for a central hibachi grill around which diners watch their food being prepared before their eyes. Boasting a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes traditionally cooked Benihana offers a unique Japanese dining experience not to be missed.

Very bit as good as its American cousins !! Admittedly the food is not condon-bleu, but the steak, the prawns, the sushi (if you like sushi) is high quality, tasty, and cooked to perfection. And the showmanship around cooking at the table, is every bit as good as in the Benihanas in America.

My first time in this Benihana in London. Few years ago I went to a different one in London. Well, different restaurant but always excellent. The cook Mario San was very good in cooking and at the same time was very funny. Food was great. The restaurant is quite big, and I counted at least 20 tables, sitting 8 people.

Came here last night with my friend to take up the 6 courses for £29 offer. Walked into the restaurant and we were the only people in there! We were a bit hesitant at first because obviously there was no atmosphere at all but decided to give it a go. After about 10 minutes another family joined us and shortly... More

OK - I agree that for an adult Benihana is a somewhat dispiriting experience - but for 10 - 15 year olds it is epic fun. I was there with 7 of them and they all said it was a fantastic evening. Great fun with the cooks and a fun evening - I left happy because my children and their... More

They didnt have our reservation and only accepted that we had one when we presented the confirmation email. Our chef/entertainer was obviously having a very bad day, my starter arrived at the end of my meal and they 'took' the optional service charge without me realising it - cant blame them for that, I should have been more diligent. This... More

With Benihana you’re not going out for food, you’re going out for a theatrical experience. The Teppan hot-plate is the stage and the chef your star. You sit around this hot-plate, next to strangers (if you’re not part of an adequately large group), and watch as the highly skilled chef makes music with the salt and pepper shakers, banging, knocking... I've been to several Benihana's before, namely the one in Las Vegas, and this is a very upscale one in comparison. There's always great music playing in the background that anyone can enjoy and a lounge area to enjoy drinks while you wait for friends or your table. Service is quick and the waiters are prompt to your needs. When... More

Went for dinner on new years day, on arrival (we were a little early) the lady on reception looked put out that we were early, so we were ushered down stairs to the waiting bar area. We waited for over 10 minutes without being offered a drink. Whilst waiting, I visited the ladies bathroom, it was absolutely disgusting, two of... More
