Elegant Japanese styling and delicious fresh food await you at London's Benihana Restaurant. Benihana is a favourite not only of tourists but of locals fresh from the nearby offices, relaxing with colleagues or indeed entertaining clients. In keeping with the Benihana brand the chain began in New York way back in 1964, this means that this year, 2014 is our 50th anniversary. This superb Japanese restaurant swaps the conventional kitchen for a central hibachi grill around which diners watch their food being prepared before their eyes. Boasting a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes traditionally cooked Benihana offers a unique Japanese dining experience not to be missed.

Exciting evening!

Came here for my birthday, great evening with the chef entertaining us. The cocktails were delicious. There is a lot of food to go with the meals. Great for a celebration. The food was so fresh!

Great choice of good quality ingredients. Loved the waghu beef. Our chef prepared the dishes with real flair and a good sense of humour. Pity our table wasn't complete to add to atmosphere.

For an experience with great quality food this place is hard to beat. The food is cooked fresh in from of you, and I mean very fresh, watching the fresh prawns turn pink is always a highlight (my kids thought they were naturally pink!). Make sure you order the garlic chicken rice as an upgrade - well worth it. The... More

Had an awful experience here went for my 24th with 8 guests and arrived on time for our booking at 8:30 was directed to the lounge to be seated soon. No one explained anything to us we tried asking the main door lady and she avoided us and used the other staircase all night. The time reached 9:30 when I... More

Came here on vacation with my three-year-old daughter. She loved it. Always entertaining, even if the food is only average quality.

Went with family and wasn't majorly impressed, it's all very exciting having a chef in front of you but the food was bland, wasnt filling and for the price you'd expect more food. Go so you can say you have been and had the experience, but, I don't think you'll return.

left this restaurant with an empty stomach and an empty wallet. my mother used to tell me not to play with my food and for the price of a small car this what you get at benihanas. A lot of fuss and flame over some onions, egg fried rice and a measly portion of everything. An equivalent experience would be... More

By cooking everything on one surface in front of you, food is contaminated with other products. Would recommend against if you have allergies/vegetarian/vegan. Sad experience, and the chef didn't understand what I was trying to tell him. Ended up with a small bowl of plain rice at a lunch with 9 others- a surprise lunch for me I add.

Went here a few weeks ago with my partner as we had a voucher. A bit of a slow start waiting for enough people to fill the table. However the staff were extremely friendly especially the chef that was cooking at our table he was very humorous making everybody laugh and the food was absolutely amazing, the best Japanese food... Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
