Description: Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

We ordered half a dozen oysters and were given a dozen. I didn't want to make a fuss - of course we were charged for a dozen! I ordered a glass of Glenlivet and he assumed I meant the £30 a glass one rather than the £12 a glass one...... The food is good but considering we had a dozen... More

The most delicious bread that you can't stop eating, followed by osters, duck egg,Dover sole of prime quality and service can't be beaten. Not cheap so allow around £200 with wine. Timeless ambiance

We went on a Monday evening on the 22nd December and had seats at the bar. Its a great spot to take in the atmosphere of the place and watch the staff in action. The Fillet of Cod and John dory were both excellent, along with the side dishes and perfectly chilled wine. I had mentioned when making the reservation... More

Five of us went for dinner on Saturday night. Nice cocktail in the Connaught first. Needed to get in a tad earlier as all the sitting had gone. My last visit here to Scott's was a little while ago...perhaps 2 years ago. As ever place was humming and we had a nice table behind the bar. The food was good,... More

The grilled turbot accompanied by béarnaise sauce and new potatoes we ordered were excellently prepared as were the razor clams and apple tart. But while the cuisine proved highly professional other aspects of the restaurant lacked appeal. The huge room lacks warmth or character and service is impersonal and haphazard. Given the high prices these shortcomings amounted to a disappointing... More

I had great time with my girlfriends and delicious food and friendly and attentive service at the bar. Waiter shared his impresive menu knowladge and had lots of patience for our trio. We will be going back soon.

A return to this excellent restaurant for lunch. Great to be able to arrive for a 2pm reservation. I had cod to start with followed by sole meunieure. Both fish were excellent. The win'e expensive for what we chose to drink, but hey! That's our choice. The atmosphere is just what you expect - lots of chatter and people enjoying... More

I have written a review of Scotts last year and enjoyed so much that we revisted for dinner this year. We were pleased that the corner table that we had the last time was where we were seated. A Bellini and gin and tonic at the counter while they cleared the table. We choose Shellfish bisque and Smoked Haddock souffle... More

I go to Scott's regularly with clients and friends and my wife - anyone who will put up with me basically - and I love it. It has a reputation as the eating place of the super rich and before I had ever been I imagined it would be super stuffy and that I would feel out of place as... More

Our friends booked this restaurant the beginning of December for mid January as fully booked. Our table was booked for 8.30 - we were still waiting to be seated at 8.50 which was quite annoying for a restaurant of this caliber. Because of this delay it meant that we ate a lot later than we would have liked!! That aside,... More
