Description: Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary...
Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

This restaurant is one of my favourites in London. Firstly the food is outstanding with great choice of seafood. The staff are attentive and polite and the atmosphere is relaxed with style. Highly recommended.

A very glamorous venue, fantastic food and service, i was bowled over. Some say this restaurant is too expensive and posh, whilst its a little of both, you receive a very warm welcome and are made to feel at home

After waiting almost 2 months in a waiting list, expectations were high! Service was great and food amazing. Our table had octopus carpaccio and crab as a starter, both were PERFECT! Would go back there for that any time !!! As a main we had a seafood platter, all was cooked exactly right but for some reason the sauce was... More

I initially thought this would be 'too posh' for me but I was surprised to find it wasn't like that at all. The service was impeccable and the waiters were very accommodating. Highly recommended. We were a group of eight girls and we had a superb time.

Don't go if you are on a budget as the price is not cheap. But if you want to splurge for a special occasion, you will great food, service and atmosphere at Scott's. The specialty drinks are wonderful and the food is fresh. My wife had the fish & chips while I had lobster thermidor. Both were excellent!

I had the shellfish bisque which although good it lacked any great depth of flavour and has been better on previous occasions. I ordered the "fish of the day" £30 this was whole grilled brill on the bone. This was perfectly cooked and totally amazing.Unbeatable rustic food. Served with Bearnaise sauce. I caved in after eating 80% but enjoyed it... More

This is an up market fish restaurant that has all the right things going for it, location, ambiance, staff and the food. The sorbet was probable one of the best we have ever had anywhere and highly recommended.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
