Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

No better seafood in London

Stylish and smart and terrific and wonderful. Legendary. And did I mention that the food is flawless? For extra fun, eat at the bar. Go for the shellfish, the Dover Sole or whatever fish they've brought in that day. You cannot go wrong at Scott's. Beautiful art deco atmosphere and gracious... read more

I had read that Scott's was a place to try out. I must say the fish platter to share was truly mouth watering with side a orders of new potatoes buttered spinach. The overall feel of the restaurant is somewhat relaxed yet very formal. I really enjoyed the service received from the staff and the acknowledgement of my birthday when... More

Booked this restaurant for 5pm before going to the theatre. Despite the time is was still busy and had a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent, the staff were very attentive but not in your face. The menu is quite extensive - I'm sure there must be something on there for everyone but I went for the seafood cocktail to... More

We had been wanting to go to Scott's for quite some time and were able to get reservations to celebrate a significant birthday on our last trip to London. The restaurant was less formal than we expected, which was perfectly fine as we found it very comfortable and not the least bit stuffy. The service was extremely professional and the... More

Fabulous meal last night at Scott's. Scallops, lobster, clams all divine.. As was the chocolate fondant with praline ice cream.. 😊 Sitting at the bar area was definitely the right choice... Special thanks to the wonderful staff... Service was the best.. Pavel and Marjaan (Sorry I'm sure I've misspelt) were charming. Will definitely be back! X

Such a fabulous evening spent at Scott's with good company of course. More to the point the seafood dishes were just to die for! An aphrodisiac moment; oysters and champagne. Service was frequent and all staff were very welcoming and polite. Everything as you would expect is 5* and I can't fault anything, personally on my visit. I can't wait... More

We booked to eat at the bar and we're delighted at the atmosphere and attention we received. Very attentive service but not overly done. Our starters were great - shellfish cocktail and seared scallops. We both had lobster thermidor for our main course, which was lovely. Panna cotta and chocolate fondant finished our meal. Reasonably priced for the quality of... More

The food was fantastic and so was the service. They also have a great bar to have a drink while you are waiting for your table. The Champagne Risotto with truffle was amazing and a must as an appetizer.

My son takes the family here once a year for my birthday. What a treat! The food Is perfect and the staff so welcoming and friendly yet very efficient. I had the sea bass and if I have ever had better I dont remembe it. And the vegetable sides, creamed spinach and cauliflower cheese, were cooked to perfection with beautiful... More

It's been around a long time. Lunch on a Sunday pm was a thoroughly enjoyable affair. The menu was as good as I remembered. It amazes me that anyone would go to Scotts and not eat fish. Service was friendly and we left happy and not too full!

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
