Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Always a fantastic dining experience!!

Been to this restaurant on many occasions and always have a fabulous time. Great food, good service and a wonderful floral display outside at the moment for the Chelsea flower show.

We had a 24-hour stopover in London and decided to treat ourselves and have supper at Scott's in Mayfair. We called on a Saturday night at 7pm on the off-chance that there might get a table. To our surprise they squeezed us in. At 9pm we were at the bar having a glass of Rose Champagne and looking forward to... More

Visited on a date, an all time classic restaurant with exceptional sea food, top notch service, and quintessentially British atmosphere. A must visit whatever the occasion.

I went on spec.and sat at the bar. Too close to other diners even though there was more unused space along the bar which they wanted to keep in case any couples came- they didn't. The bisque £8-75 was as good as before but slightly thinner consistency. The kitchen must have been overloaded, it was peak lunchtime I had to... More

My wife and I recently visited Scott's for the first time as a birthday treat. We’re very used to high end restaurants and this is up there. The menu is extensive but obviously it’s very much a fish restaurant, something we both love. The whole experience form beginning to end was exceptional and I mean that. Even to the point... More

I dont understand if Dover provides sole for so many restaurants only scotts serves the best. A meal of Dressed crab followed by Dover sole makes scotts i as the best seafood restorant in Englan and probably in Europe. Wine list is well selected for all size of budgets.

On a recent trip to London with my son, we met friends at Scott's for lunch. I am very particular about seafood and everything I had was perfect. The Mussels were the best I have ever had, the grilled Turbot was perfection and we had a huge amazing crab which was moist and sweet served with Bernaise. For dessert my... More

Love this place. Impeccable service. Nice and fresh food. More glamorous sister restaurant of J Sheekey. The mocktail list is long compared to most London restaurants because, I think, of the overwhelming popularity of drinking in London. The mocktails taste absolutely wonderful. A plus if you're here for business lunch. The wine list is super long and a lot of... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
