Having dined at Arbutus, I was really keen to try out the sister restaurant. It was a bit hit and miss for our date; I enjoyed the meal however my wife had the unfortunate experience of a few bones/gristle in her starter and a ever-so-slightly under-cooked fish main. I'm sure that 99/100 meals are... read more

Three of us had the Saturday fixed price lunch, a bottle of unusual wine & great service. For starters two had warm mushroom velouté which was bursting with flavour, light & delicious. I had the game terrine, which was the best I've ever had. All three of us had the cod for the main course. I can remember the number... More

My wife and I were invited as guests to join some very good friends to celebrate a birthday. We have visited Arbutus many times and were anticipating good food and service. To begin , we were surprised to see that bread was charged at £4 a second basket, when starters were priced at an average of £14/18 and mains at an... More

We visited Wild Honey for my husbands birthday at the weekend. The express lunch menu is excellent value and the food outstanding. We had the mushroom veloute / terrine starter, angus beef for our main and champagne rubarb meringue to finish, along with some amuse bouche and a special birthday chocolate dessert brought out at the end (though two desserts... We visited on a Monday lunch time, not overly busy as you could tell by the waiting staff standing around or always pestering you at the table. Starter was delicious for both of us, special mention to the mushroom velouté and chicken ravioli. Main course was the big let down by finding a bone in my sea bass and they... More

Our visit was to celebrate a landmark birthday and we selected Wild Honey after seeing it featured on Masterchef. The welcome and the service was excellent and the restaurant offered a comfortable atmosphere. The food was very good but not quite to the outstanding standard that we expected from a Michelin starred restaurant or from what we had seen on... More

A well located fine dining restaurant. Excellent service. It offers an excellent selection on the menu and unique array of cocktails. All of which were delicious. However, all our dishes were slightly too salty. Other than that, its an excellent fine dining experience.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
