Peaked to soon

Were led here by its Michelin Star, but felt that the star had come to rest above the wrong restaurant! It is such an attractuve room, so it was a shame the food let it down. The best thing we ate were the amuse-bouche … it really did peak too soon!

Lovely restaurant, great staff, good food except for a chicken bone found in the ravioli starter. We told the waiter who said - 'sorry, I will tell chef' and then... Well, nothing. I feel our complaint was not taken seriously. Not a satisfactory outcome.

Having recently celebrated a milestone birthday, my husband and son treated me to an evening meal at Wild Honey, following a shopping expedition in Mayfair. We arrived early and enjoyed a cocktail at the bar and were shown to our table soon after. The service was discrete and professional and the food exceeded expectations in particular the mushroom velouté starter... More

My wife and I had lunch on Saturday 7th Feb. A very chilly day however we received a warm greeting from front of house. We were shown straight to our table and the menu followed shortly after. We ordered our food and a bottle of the Chilean Carmenere which at £54 was on the expensive side. I wouldn't normally check... More

Wild Honey is tucked away in a less busy street in Mayfair, not far from Regents Street. The building itself is relatively small but the decoration is smart and atmosphere was good on the Friday evening that we went. The food had a lot to live up to given the Michelin star and overall it was more than satisfactory. The... More

We visited the restaurant for the working lunch set menu. Service was good as was the decor and the food arrived quite quickly. The starter was delicious - potato veloute with poached egg and pink grapefruit jam which was also well presented. However, the real disappointment was with the main - slow roasted beef which lacked any form of flavour... More

Visited the restaurant with my wife in January this year, as a birthday celebration meal. Our expectations were quite high having seen the restaurant featured in the recent series of Master Chef Professional. We liked the look of the food and the chef / owner seemed to be really focused. However. The food was as far as we were concerned... More

A real treat of fine cooking with superb presentation & wonderful flavours. Its already a 1 star & based on what we had couldbe well on its way to a 2nd Michelin star. It was very busy for a midweek lunch & deserves to be. Food & service were of the top level. This is a serious & thoroughly professional... More

The food was excellent, tasty, beautifully presented, no complaints. We ordered a bottle of red and white. The red came and two glasses were poured but two of us wanted white. It took maybe 15-20 mins before it appeared. Water was topped up endlessly but the red wine was whisked away out of sight and reappeared only intermittently. The White... More
