A little gem in lee green

We have been to Harvey's three times now and the food is excellent with great portion sizes. The place has a lovely atmosphere and is a real gem. Sometimes the service can be a little off (long wait to be asked for drinks and no water brought to table) but that's forgiven quickly as the food is... read more

Very good food but felt that we was a pain for eating there. We booked a table and when we arrived the manager just pointed to the table we waited for ages before being asked if we wanted drinks in fact we was just about to leave , Menus was left at the end of the table we ordered three... More

I'm normally skeptical about fish restaurants that aren't right by the sea, but Harvey's didn't disappoint. Portion sizes were exactly right. Fat scallops wrapped in bacon with a light wine sauce followed by thin slices of monkfish in cream and mustard. Sweet new potatoes, garlic spinach which still had some bite. Diner number two raved about his fish soup -... More

We had a very nice family Sunday dinner - the menu offered traditional Sunday roasts and full a la carte. We all had something different and each of the starters and main courses was very good.

Staff were tremendous and food was cooked to perfection with ample portions. There was a delay in receiving our starter but the waitress explained the problem and made us feel important Thank you Harveys for a wonderful evening- when I'm in London next, I'll be back.

It is a lovely Bistro that was easy to find and easy to park near. The menu was superb and we struggled to decide what to have. My husband and father had the fish soup which was unbelievably good... The mains were also of a really good quality. Service was first class and left feeling like we had a really... More

We visited this restaurant often in its previous life as Villa Moura. It has always specialised in seafood and meals there have always been consistently good. It has recently undergone a refurbishment and a name change to Harvey's Bistro. The restaurant is now more contemporary and the downstairs part in particular is now a much more pleasant eating area. Many... More

The food was very nice, and the staff were very friendly. The problem we encountered was that we had to wait a very long time between starter and main course so more wine was consumed than would normally be the case, and in effect on an empty stomach, this had the obvious effect and we therefore left without dessert or... We were guests of long term friends who live nearby. Despite the challenges of a group of seven on a busy evening, one of whom was American, and other handicaps the staff remained very professional and courteous. The setting has been wonderfully improved over the previous incarnation (I don't mean the biker hangout from long ago). I had sardines, the... More
