Amazing location, super friendly staff, great food

The Narrow is one of those restaurants that take your breath away literally 3 seconds after you come in! Located on the bank of the Thames, it offers amazing and romantic setting, perfect for our couples dinner. The appetizer I got, garlic soup, was a bit too strong for my taste but everyone... read more

Instead of "fixing" other people's kitchen nightmares, Gordon Ramsey should focus on his own. Very slow and disorganised service. We waited more than 20mins for drinks when we arrived and then too long for subsequent drinks. Food was average and two fish dishes were dry and over cooked. We then nearly didn't bother with dessert as it took so long... More

After a cycle along the river we looked forward to a drink and snack at this picturesque restaurant/pub. Sadly, nothing lived up to the view. Service was slow, the coffee was cold and the chicken skewers were vile. I felt we weren't welcome because we were dressed as cyclists.

After a lovely cycle down The Cut to The Narrow Resaurant, we were served, belatedly, a cold coffee, half the size that you get from Waitrose and then chicken skewers were substandard. This is a lovely location what a disappointment!!!

I was very, very pleasantly surprised. The food - we'd booked a private room but based on the Sunday a la carte menu - was really beautifully cooked traditional English fayre. I thought the prices were very reasonable for London, and the atmosphere was excellent. The staff are very attentive, and really I cannot fault the place. If I lived... More

Maitre-d was great and his service was faultless, really can't complain about how well we were looked after. Waiter service was ok, but really very slow. It took 20 mins for us to get the wine we ordered. Our bread basket came when we had nearly finished our starters. We both ordered roasts and the meat, veg and Yorkshire was... More

Lovely view but was let down by the wine which was below par, food which was average and pricey and the service which was patchy. Overall perhaps Gordon needs to take a butcher's and sort it out.

Me, my wife and our friends took a trip to London to see Lionel Richie in concert at the O2. Instead of going up in the evening just to watch the concert we thought we would try a make a day of it. So we walked into the narrows at 1.30 without a reservation to see if we could get... More

Great setting, nice friendly and attentive service without being too imposing or over-familiar and really excellent food. Although it's not appreciable from the website or pictures, there's also a very nice lounge area next to the restaurant with the great views over the Thames: perfect for casual drinks.
