Very dissapointing

Having heard the hype surrounding Gordon Ramseys The Narrow, we booked a table months in advance for a birthday celebration. WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT, we were informed we had a beautiful table in the conservatory, which actually is not a conservatory, but a lean too with a plastic concertina roof. On... read more

With great expectation, hubby & I entered The Narrow & was greeted at the Bar. We were directed to the Restaurant reception & shown to our table. We opted for the Valentine's Day Menu which sounded perfect. The service was friendly & efficient. The 3 starters to share were well presented & each bite was so delicious. The Cote de... More

Wrap up well if you're visiting when temperatures are low! I've never been to a restaurant where you have to wear a coat and scarf at the table ! The conservatory is exposed and having the doors open into the interior dining area lets the whole restaurant suffer .For some reason the central heating was turned down .When we asked... More

Used to be my favourite place in the area and my favourite gastropub in London - a classic London pub menu, but high-quality cooking; a wide and interesting selection of beers; friendly service and, of course, the beautiful Thames view. My favourite pick in East London for a relaxed dinner or sunday brunch. The refurbishing a year or so ago... More

Gordon Ramsay needs to do a world tour of his restaurants and get the service and focus on the customer to be exemplary. So many of his spots are stuffy and quite frankly, underwhelming. This was the case with The Narrow in the last 18-24 months. We stopped going because it was hard work to get good service and even... More

Me and my girlfriend came here around 4pm on a Sunday. We hadn't booked but they found a table for us. To start we shared the duck confit which was alright but felt like something I could have whipped up at home pretty quickly and easily. It was also brought out before our drinks had arrived which is always annoying.... More

We had a late Saturday lunch at The Narrow, we really enjoyed it! The food was very good, we had artichoke soup and pork croquettes as starters, then salmon and lamb as a main. Everything was extremely well made, like you would expect from a Gordon Ramsey's restaurant. Our waitress, Agatha, was very friendly and really wanted to make us... More

Table for 2 on New Year's Day - lunch experience. The building itself and the location are marvelous, just 5 minutes thames path walk to canary warf. The Narrow has a really nice, elegant and relaxed ambience. The interiores are full of light, with big windows looking at thames river, also with views towards the Shard and the bigger buidings... The Narrow has a really nice relaxed friendly atmosphere if you're in the right seat its really nice and warm but unfortunately I was a little chilly.... The food was delicious perfectly sized portions however quite pricey! Definitely recommend the salmon and the sticky... More

My husband and I took the train to London to visit The Narrow on Sunday 25 January. Whilst the typical Sunday lunches emerging from the kitchen looked absolutely wonderful - size of the Yorkshire puddings! - we opted for the Burns Menu. We didn't actually see anyone else on the Burns Menu but they missed out. It was wonderful, in... More
