Disappointing

I had a late lunch (3pm) yesterday so would miss the lunch time rush. There were just a few tables occupied, however as much as the staff were pleasurable I didn't feel as if I was dining in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. The manager had ladders all over her tights, the bill was incorrect, we were... read more

Disappointing visit to previously okay bar. During the evening We encountered 3 different waiters and the manager. The first waiter did not explain the specials or menu in detail, neglecting to mention that the fish dish was not filleted. When it was returned it was a mash of cold goo and many bones still remained.Furthermore we could not locate the... More

Lovely riverside location reasonably close to Limehouse DLR or walk along the Thames path. Free-standing heaters in evidence when we visited. Maybe more of a summer venue? We didn't eat but enjoyed a couple of glasses of nice wine albeit at premium prices. Drinks are served in the conservatory terrace area and outside in the summer. Comfy sofas and plenty... More

Anything from a bowl of spicy sausages, through fish and chips to a full meal. Very well prepared food at a price which reflects an excellent riverside setting.

Came here with my girlfriend on the special 241 January offer, working in hospitality I know exactly how these offers work offering something for a reduced price and then hoping to make money on upselling drinks and in this case dessert,as we walked in Gordon was sat on the sofas so I asked him cheekily where to go for directions and... I was hoping for better as it was Gordon Ramsey, the food was 'meh' the reason I'm giving this average is the venue is cosy and has great views. It's very relaxed and you can stay there for hours chatting.

Lovely setting, great view. Was a Wednesday, expected it to be busier, however it was not.. They Squashed us next to a table of 3 men and 2 ladies, when the whole space was empty?? However window seats, again great view. Cold restaurant... Wrap Up. We had a choice of a set menu or a la carte.. We chose a... More

Friendly service but disappointing food. Chicken liver parfait was a slab of pate and two slices of tossed supermarket sliced loaf plonked on the plate. mackerel was tiny and bland. We had a two for one deal and would have been very annoyed had it been full price. Try the Italian restaurant fifty yards away, much much better.

We ate here for the first time after visiting the London Boat Show on a quiet Monday. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff. We went for the 2 for 1January special offer, which meant there wasn't a lot of choice on the menu. However we both found something we liked (vegetarian and fish) and we were not disappointed. Food was nicely... More

I had lunch here on what was probably one of the quietest lunchtimes of the year. The first Monday in January. The menu was limited, 4 choices for each course or steak. I ordered crumbed cod in butter bean and samphire broth. OK, standard quality one would expect in a gastro pub, White chocolate cheesecake with scorched pear, again OK.... More
