I had high expectations given that this is a ramsey restaurant. We visited on Saturday day time, and the restaurant was busy, but not full. There were quite a few families with young children around, though they were fairly well behaved so it didn't ruin the atmosphere too much. The menu was okay. Not much choice for vegetarians. The butternut... More

The Office xmas lunch. When there are several events at the same time in one restaurant each with ~ 20 people, I don't always expect much from the venue. However this Pub/Restaurant was great, the xmas menu was good, the quality and heat of the food very good and the service was excellent. We had pre-ordered a few weeks before... More

We went to the narrow for our Christmas Party and had the provate room upstairs. The venue was lovely (if a little warm) and ideal for our event. The service was great and the staff really accommodating. Unfortunately the food let the evening down. The starters were miniscule - I had the game terrine - which although tasted great was... More

This was a random visit to The Narrow as we were simply looking for a place to have tea while visiting a friend who lives at Limehouse. The restaurant is located in marina right on the river and offers brilliant overview of Thames and The Shard as well as London City business centre. It has a very warming interior with... More

This was my second visit to the Narrow, the first having been some years previous and a disappointment at that time. Still, a second chance seemed reasonable and a good excuse for a group of eleven of us to get out of the City and enjoy an informal lunch. The problems started as soon as we got there. The welcome... Came here for dinner very last minute on a Sunday night and had no problems booking a table around 45 mins before turning up at 7.30pm. Unfortunately it was dark by the time we arrived so could not really get a sense of the view around the outside but imagine it's lovely. The pub looks very warm and inviting and... More

You cannot beat the location of The Narrow. It is right on the Thames and all of the tables on the terrace ( covered - at least in winter) have wonderful river views. Even if you do not get a table right on the water, you can still enjoy the views from every table in the terrace area. Everything on... More

Been here for lunch before but this was first evening visit and a Friday to boot. Lived up to expected standards. Comfortable surroundings, great Thames side position and good food. Only issue were the vegetables which turned out to be all Brussels Sprouts. All our party like them (unusually) but they were inedible. We decided not to replace them, were... More

Its a lovely setting especially in the sun, being by the Thames. The food was OK, nothing to shout about - other than the chips - they were pretty tasty. I think it trades on Gordon's name and looks the part but the staff were distinctly stuffy and whatever I asked they gave monosyllabic answers. So much so I told... More
