Good ood near Selfridges

I dont often eat in this neck of the woods so i find it difficult to raye it because of the lack of comaparators. We ate an early dinner and it seemed reasonably authentic turkish fare. Service was good and friendly and the food was really tasty with a very good wide choice illustrated menu. A good... read more

Popped in for a late lunch on a Sunday. Despite the restaurant being half empty, the grumpy manager directed me to a small table at the very back of the restaurant. I asked about a table nearer the door, or on the pavement but was told that they were not available for single diners such as myself. The inside is... More

The starter was good but the main dish was not delicious at all. The service is the worst. We waited for the starter 30 minutes. When we left the staff gave us a dirty look and they did not reply when we thanked them. Will never come back again.

While on a business trip to lo do. I was in need of great food, reasonably priced, in walking distance of my hotel... The Grand Bazaar ticked all boxes and then some. Having travelled to Turkey many times, I know great Turkish food... And this was on par with the restaurants of my travels. I had a mixed kebab plate... More

Took this restaurant in for a casual lunch. The service was friendly and relaxed with a nice ambiance. The food was very good and good value. The hummus was extremely tasty. I would Los recommend the Shish Kofte and definitely the Harem Kebab. This restaurant is now on our hit list when back in the Oxford Street region.

We stumbled upon this place and had it not been for the friendly hostess out front, we would have kept on walking. She was very friendly, and that was sufficient to peak our interest, she was very accommodating in that she gave us two tables so we could face the crowds to people watch. She also was extremely helpful with... More

We did not have to wait at all. We were greeted at the door and immediately offered a table. The food was lovely, and the service was very friendly. You are also given a complimentary dish of olives before the meal and a few Turkish Delight (I think, they are rose water) after the meal, which is a nice touch... More

Very recently discovered this authentic turkish restaurant at St Christopher's Place in London. Very good quality food, freshly prepared, authentic and very good value for what you pay. Try the lambs liver (Arnavut ciğeri), cheese pastry (börek), hellim, Fındık lahmacun for starters and enjoy a glass of Ayran with it too. Decorations are very turkish/ottoman and create a great ambiance... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
