I had been sold on Tayyab's as the second coming. Two friends who travel in entirely different circles were nearly salivating when they described the lamb chops. So, I was very excited when I finally had a chance to visit it. We went on a relatively quiet night and the queue was fine. I was not the least put off... More

So Friday was the first time ever I have been here and not seen a queue! The Mrs booked a table for four and we were seated immediately, the service was afoot better than some reviews here. We took full advantage of bring your own alcohol so was happy. The restaurant is very busy with a number of floors and... More

This was our second visit and once again we were not disappointed. The food is stunning and reasonably priced. The restaurant has a small menu, but the name is the best I have ever had. There is no alcohol licence but you can take your own wine / beer.

This must be one of the busiest restaurants in East London and is crowded 7 nights a week. The overall experience was good and the sauces for our dishes were terrific but they were let down by tough and fatty lamb chops which was a surprising disappointment. Lively & Loud, loads of energy about the place.

I have eaten this restaurant this evening and feel so strongly that I couldn't wait until I got home to write this review. Got seated quickly, ordered our food, although was told they don't do korma and pilau rice was all they had. Ordered our food. It came rather quickly, the rice was cold so we sent it back, (we... I am writing this review while I am seating here in the resturant. OMG I must say the attitude of the waiters were greart in sarcasm such a worst behaviour. The glasses were so dirty.we have ordered lassi but never got the glasses to drink it.oh I forgot while we arrived they gave the table but when the table was... More

After being recommended for the past three or four years ago from my two Sub-Continent friends (telling me - for the price - this was the best Indian in town), I had been looking forward to this experience for years.... The three main things which left me feeling disappointed are the following. (1) Once seated the service was extremely poor.... More

I've been here twice - once without a reservation (waited about 45 mins for a table), once with a reservation (waited 10 mins for a table). The first time we ate here we were seated next to an extremely loud table of nearly 30+ guests. Can't really blame the restaurant for that but it was difficult to speak to the... More

The food was nice, but the service was terrible. The waiters were very moody, they brought out 1 dish at a time and the food got cold so had to send back. They banged the dishes on the table and also tried to charge for popodums I didn't order.

Tayyabs was recommended to us by a friend. Initial impressions were good. Despite being busy on a Friday night, we were shown to a table relatively quickly. Our dining experience went downhill from there. We were served our papadams (which were charged for on the bill) with only 1 out of the 3 dipping sauces that every other table was... More
