We took the tube to Tayyabs, which is in a questionable neighborhood several blocks from the tube. We reserved online but they didn't seem to care about our reservation and immediately seated us on the lower level. It was chaotic and busy, our waiter didn't know much English, and they do not provide tap water. Each table had a bottle... More

One of those things which has such a reputation that despite initial bad experience you give it another go ... mistake!! The paneer tikka didn't have that lovely charred taste - it was just flabby flavourless lumps ... and as for the other veggie dishes - too much salt and too much chilli. If I say that it makes me... I have been many times to this restaurant and the food is always excellent. The grilled prawns and lamb chops were amazing. Really well worth eating here. A bitof a queue but well worth it

I heard so many good things about Tayyabs that I was really excited to try it. Seeing the queue, it could only be amazing! I wish. We waited for almost 2 hours, everything was so disorganized. People fighting to get a table, being rude and loud. When we finally sat... The music was so loud, it wasn't pleasant at all.... More

Tayyabs has over the years burnished a reputation for cheap authentic Pakistani food, in a vibrant BYOB setting, with no corkage charge. A friend recommended ordering the lamb chops (supposedly starters, but the generous portions could suggest otherwise), and along with the mutton, they are indeed one of the highlights. The curries are less exciting. As they are the main... More

Food is good especially the samosas. I found some of the food such as the lady fingers extremely spicy but this is a Punjabi restaurant so I cannot expect less spicy. I liked the chocolates they gave at the end of the meal and the mango Lassi was very thick and creamy

This well known Pakistani restaurant is busy with young professions after a quick meal who also don't mind the fast service, lack of attention from staff who don't care (obvious with their no service charge on receipt) and food that lacks attention. The kitchen are hugely busy and rush food out like the world's about to end. The food lacks... More

Amazing food at affordable prices! The lamb chops are where it's at; also it's BYO. This place is always packed so make sure you book in advance.

Everything else is terrible. Overcooked and oily vegis, chicken tikka hard as stones. Check the toilet before taking a seat and you can imagine how clean the kitchen is. Avoid!
