Don't miss the lamb shops and wonderful currys. Very very nice food and variety. Everything. Bring your own wine. Nice service and people. Nice place. I recommend and will return.

Went here with my partner last night after being told about the famous lamb chop starter. Maybe it's because I grew up in Australia having lamb chops weekly straight off the BBQ that might make me a bit of a hard marker. Never the less, I thought the chops here were over cooked and lacked any real lamb flavour, marinate/sauce... More

6 of us had a company restaurant night; this time curry! We all agreed that the food was superb. From the recommended starter of lamb chops to the prawn and tarka dhal main courses were wonderful. My stand-out dish, and my barometer of a curry house is the succulence of the lamb curry - i don't think i could rate... More

The reception was like a metro station, probably around hundred people waiting for a table downstairs. We had made a reservation which the staff didn't find. We didn't have to wait long though and got a great table upstairs. They don't serve alcohol here which is a great business move since you can't sit and drink after the meal; silently,... More

After hearing so much about Tayyabs from my friends , my husband and me visited and we were not disappointed with the quality of food. The chicken tikka and paneer tikka starters were both very good and had ample pieces , approx 5 each. We ordered Mango Lassis which took a while to arrive and were a tad bit too... More

Awful food extremely oily. Fast food joint trying to make out its authentic Indian. It's just a cafe with carpets. Had fish tikka which is supposed to be done in the clay oven but it was clearly deep fried and tasted terrible. We got served by about 8 different people and no one's knows what is going on. Food was... More

Other than feeling a bit rushed and rude staff members this is a truely amazing experience. I continue to visit this restaurant for their mixed grill- ESP the lamb chops. Get there early to prevent long queues as you can't book. It's byob which just makes it even better. Once eating here you'll never want to go to any other... More

I was invited to this restaurant for a birthday, and looked at the Tripadvisor reviews beforehand. I was sceptical of going because of the reviews, although some of my friends had recommended it in the past. Upon arrival, we were greeted but told to wait 5 minutes while another employee came back as he had the bookings list, and the... More

I've heard loads of nice things about Tayyabs so decided to give it a go with a colleague, however, my experience was one of the worst ever. We went there during lunch time and although the restaurant wasn't entirely full there were a good few tables occupied. I felt that the entire experience was rushed. Staff showed no interest in... Like most i'd heard good and bad things but wanted to try for myself. I thought the "legendary" lamb chops were tough and a bit if a letdown. Didnt seem to stop a near endless stream of them snake out of the kitchen though! Service was a little slow and surly (and got one item wrong) despite the place being... More
