ATMOSPHERE Very busy, and felt quite chaotic. The layout is odd and the tables are absolutely crammed together. Could barely get out. Glasses not very clean. DRINK BYOB! Always a winner. FOOD Very, very average. Chutneys & salad left on tables, which are very runny and bland. Naan bread was ok. Curries were small portions but this suits me. Very... More

I am a massive fan of Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi cuisine - I eat it a least once per week. I have my favourite dishes that I always use to gauge the relative strengths and weaknesses of a particular establishment. The humble seekh kebab is one of these dishes. Trust me, you will not find a better one anywhere. I have eaten thousands... More

I do not understand what all the fuss is about. The food was cold, the meat was undercooked and then they messed up the order. The service was terrible, fair enough I understand they were busy but there was no need to get told by a waiter "There is no ketchup!" said very rudely and it was my little nephew... More

Poor service. Bad food. I guess this place is targeted for catering for the after pub curry crowd. so on that point the food is not very authentic and bland. The service is rude as well as very facetious. I have not been back to this place. Utter rubbish.

This place serves up some of the best lamb chops (Indian/Pakistani style) in all of East London. Yes the line that is sometimes out the door is a bit much and it can feel like a bit of a cattle market in terms of people being ushered in and out as quickly as possible but the grilled items are worth... Make sure you book a table or you will be waiting a while, when we left the queue was out the door! £47 for three people and the food is simply divine! Look forward to returning soon 👍🏼🇮🇳

Lovely food and great service. Cheap and tasty so it is what it is. Parking can be a problem but overall a great experience.

I understand this is quite a well known place. Curry was totally average at best. Service pretty slow as the place was absolutely packed, when you arrive its a bit of a free for all.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
