Good Sunday Roast

Liked the Harrison and the atmosphere. Sunday roasts are good, would be even better with more spuds! Nice wine list and easy-going staff who do what they can to make you happy. Liked the experience and also the desserts

Let me start by saying we were there for the Sunday carving menu and the place was full of local regulars who seemed happy. That said we didn't have a great experience. We got both the chicken and beef and both seemed over cooked and tasteless with the same sauce all over the meat and vegetables. We didn't enjoy it... More

I walk pass this pub on way to work and popped in for a drink. The bar is well decorated, with plenty of tables. It is clean and bright. The menu looked good and the tables had been reserved so it looks like it gets busy (it was Friday about 5pm). The range of drinks was good and my cider... More

A popular, open-plan pub serving a wide selection of British and imported beers to accompany a decent pub menu. Friendly service.

I popped in for a quick bite late on a Wednesday lunchtime. There were a few tables left and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I had a cheese, mustard and roast pork sandwich with salad. It was a generous portion, extremely tasty and cost £5.20. That takes some beating

Went for lunch for my Mums birthday. We had a table in the main bar but it was quite noisy and moved downstairs to the lovely cosy basement which was much quieter (my parents hearing isn't the best and conversation wouldn't have been too easy upstairs). The staff were perfectly accommodating and friendly despite us moving areas. Between us we... More

This was my second visit to the Harrison. The first time (early on a Saturday evening for drinks) was a delight: friendly, helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good range of drinks. On the basis of that experience I went back with a group of colleagues for a meal on a weekday evening. We had reserved a table which was fortunate as... More

Visited this restaurant with my husband and two friends. Holly had researched somewhere we could eat that was near Kings Cross/Euston. I would say don't be put off by the appearance of The Harrison as it is the food you are coming for. We had one beef and three lamb, which were accompanied by parsnip, carrots, roast potatoes, broccoli and... More

Great little pub. Very chilled. Great range of keg beers. Had roast beef and its the best in the area. Roast veg (not just potatoes), real yorkie (not just Aunt Bessie pre mades) and beef was succulent and rare. Would like the gravy on the side but being a publican I can understand the benefits. Would recommend booking on Sundays.

Very disappointing meal at lunchtime on a Friday. It was not busy Had the rib eye steak - rare - it came out almost well done and very chewy. Service was pleasant but slow - cutlery was dirty - staff became distinctly unfriendly when asked to change it.The floor was dirty and the place looked as if it needed a... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
