Description: Angus Steakhouse is the original chain of steak restaurants based in...
Angus Steakhouse is the original chain of steak restaurants based in central London's West End and has been serving both Londoners and visitors alike for over half a century. Indeed, today, you will still find many Angus Steakhouses in the centre of London, serving delicious food to all who walk through its doors. Angus Steakhouse has a long and proud heritage which stretches back to the 1960s when it could often be found in the Good Food Guide. Founded by Sir Reginald Eastwood, Angus Steakhouse aimed to deliver tender, quality steak and friendly, attentive service right from the start. And today, fifty years on, those values remain the same. With over 50 years of heritage serving premium quality steak, each Angus Steakhouse also offers a traditional menu including fish, chicken and a variety of vegetarian sides. And at Angus, we are committed to providing high quality food to London and its visitors for years to come. After 50 years, Angus Steakhouse has become a landmark in its own right. And we're still where it all began, set in the heart of London and offering excellent food. Angus Steakhouse restaurants are the perfect place for dining in the West End.

Quick dinner - one to forget

We decided to have a quick dinner before an 8pm show and went into this Angus Steakhouse because there were a few tables left. It was Wednesday but during school holidays and it was very busy. The service was actually pretty good and reasonably quick but the quality of the food was poor and very... read more

Myself and my girlfriend decided to dine at this particular restaurant tonight 16/4/15. Being our first night here in London we were extremely dissapointed overall! Seated close to the frequently used main door it was quite draughty to say the least. We both had the 10oz fillet steak which was cooked beautifully. But the chips on the other hand were... More

We usually eat in the Aberdeen chain while visiting London and yet again it was excellent. Fantastic fillet steaks served with mash and lovely sweet potato fries , as good a steak as you would get in any high class expensive establishment. Service was also excellent. It always amazes me that you can get food of this standard and price... More

Great steaks cooked to perfection, really lovely staff. It is a little cramped downstairs and the person that designed the men`s toilets obviously had a sense of humour. The sit down loo door opens straight in to your side if stood at standing urinal, could easily end up with a wet leg, so be careful.

I visited the restaurant 21/03/15 and enjoyed a very good bottle of red wine with a excellently cooked steak with chips. The prawn cocktail for starters for excellent as well, though perhaps a couple of slices of bread or a bread roll would have an excellent accompaniment. The service was excellent as well. I've read some of the negative reviews... More

Ate here on a stopover in London travelling back from Paris. I had the chicken skewer which was great and my partner had the chicken strips (starter) as a main. In my opinion, the restaurant is a tad overpriced for what it actually is (not dissimilar to competitors such as TGIs, etc) but worth trying it you like steaks. For... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. We are renowned for our Aberdeen Angus steak but also offer a wide variety of dishes for those who prefer something different. The hanging chicken skewer is one of our most popular dishes and has been priced competitively in line with similar restaurants in London. Kind Regards, Jo Smith More

We came across the steakhouse after walking through Leicester Square. Kids were really excited about eating in a restaurant. Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
