Angus Steakhouse is the original chain of steak restaurants based in central London's West End and has been serving both Londoners and visitors alike for over half a century. Indeed, today, you will still find many Angus Steakhouses in the centre of London, serving delicious food to all who walk through its doors. Angus Steakhouse has a long and proud heritage which stretches back to the 1960s when it could often be found in the Good Food Guide. Founded by Sir Reginald Eastwood, Angus Steakhouse aimed to deliver tender, quality steak and friendly, attentive service right from the start. And today, fifty years on, those values remain the same. With over 50 years of heritage serving premium quality steak, each Angus Steakhouse also offers a traditional menu including fish, chicken and a variety of vegetarian sides. And at Angus, we are committed to providing high quality food to London and its visitors for years to come. After 50 years, Angus Steakhouse has become a landmark in its own right. And we're still where it all began, set in the heart of London and offering excellent food. Angus Steakhouse restaurants are the perfect place for dining in the West End.

Packed out

My husband and I called in here before heading home at around 7.30pm after a long day in London. It was packed and every table taken on both floors, but the waiting staff told us to wait a couple of minutes (and that's all it was) before finding us a table upstairs. The tables are really cheek by... read more

We ate here on Monday 30 March, ordered starters then one steak and one pulled pork. The service was actually quite brisk and good, we had a bottle of wine within five minutes and our starters arrived another five minutes later< they were ok. Our mains arrived, my Daughters Steak was "Cold" so sent it back, the second one arrived... More

Went to the Angus Steakhouse near Piccadilly Circus with friends before going on to the theatre. Friendly greeting from the staff and generally good service. Wish I'd had a steak as my partner said his was really good. I had chicken dish (think it was chicken Carolina?) with cheese but the cheese was just loads of the squirty type so... More

This place was hopping when we stopped in for dinner. The tables were nicely set, and the place was packed. We were seated in a short amount of time, and got to ordering. I went with the 10 ounce fillet and my wife ordered the 8 ounce sirloin. We also split one of their Greek Salads, which were pretty big.... More

I visited this place with my daughter for dinner. Poor service. They brought me completely cold steak and fries, so I have asked them to change and second time the steak was raw, chewy and I returned this back again. However they did not charge me for steak, I was leaving restaurant hungry and angry. Thank you, you can find... More

Very disappointed. Two of us met up with a colleague after a business reception. Looking at the menu we ordered three starters and beer but we were told by the waiter that (unlike the rest of the UK ) their licensing laws state you must order a main to get a drink!!??? Not just food but specifically mains. I have... More

The best meal we had in London! What a place! Staff is really polite and helpful, the location couldn't be best (we went to the one on Piccadilly Circus) and the food was the best ever! Would go back there a million times!

I went there with my boyfriend and were very well received by all the staff, specially Dilek who was extremely nice. She got us a very nice table by the window and suggested us a very nice wine. I would go there again just because of the staff.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
