Staff are consistently rude and unhelpful on every visit, but the food is good, quick and cheap for lunch times, you can't book tables and normally a quick turnaround so not a problem. Knowing you can't normally book anyway I phoned in advance as we had a table of 14, and the women said that you can make group bookings... More

Have not been to that particular restaurant, but the one on High Street Ken, I guess the same stuff. Great vegetarian sushi box (and specially yummy - the stuff is not fridge-frozen cold on your plate, but temperate), lovely sesame dressing salad. I usually eat my favourites when I go and add something different each time - not anything I... More

Surprisingly, this is a favourite Malaysian haunt- especially if you're an LSE/ UCL/UoL student who stays around the area (many student accommodations are located around here). It is reputed among Malaysian students to have amazing: 1. Char kuey teow 2. Penang prawn mee The food arrives fast, and I personally find the prices reasonable when compared to other Malaysian restaurants... More

Good food, though a bit expensive. Fast service, although they are unwilling to provide separate bills for a group of six...

Place we go whenever we crave for asian food. Busy restaurant, good place for a group outings. I like the malaysian dishes, not so much of their japanese offerings though.

There are other Japanese restaurants around Brunswick Mall but this one is crowded for a reason. The food is decent, the prices are reasonable, and it won't disappoint. Given the hit and miss of many franchises around London, this one seems to be consistent. Expect a line up during any meal time. Service can be spotty but it is worth... More

great food, one of the cheapest places in London, good range of Asian food, drinks could be cheaper, but if you just get a tap water quite possible to eat for £6-7. Very popular with students and university staff. Been going there for years - if they brought back the white fish in black bean sauce it would be perfect

I used to go to Hare & Tortoise very often in Russel Square a few years back and eventually switched to the Putney Branch which is much more local, my favourate dish always being the Curry Laksa. In the last two months I have visited twice, first visit I had the Laksa which seems to have been changed into a... More

If you are nervous about Japanese food, as I am, this could be a good starting point. The restaurant having been described by a friend as an 'Asian' influenced restaurant offering Thai, Chinese, etc. I was tempted along. I now learn it is Japanese! Although it was clear that lots of sushi meals were on the menu they were also... More
