Based within the well-heeled Kensington area, The Builders Arms in London serves time-honoured British fare in quirky, contemporary surroundings. A kalaeidoscope of colours floods through the bohemian-style bar, whilst white-washed brickwork and a vaulted skylight ceiling adds to the dining area's aesthetic appeal.

Lunch with friends dogs and babies

Just great! The staff were attentive and helpful bringing water for our dog as well as being patient with our toddler and dog runnjng amok during our time there. Food was lovely and for the area very well priced. Highly recommended all round. Beer was also good with smaller brewers beer on tap.

Was looking an authentic pub in Kensington near Kensington Palace. Given no one lives in Kensington anymore (seems flat/houses are owned by foreigners who rarely, if ever, visit) few pubs remain. Was very pleased to find this one. Spread out tables, very good choice of beers. Limited but good menu. Been twice in 2 months now. Had the fried chicken... More

Had dinner here with a friend who lives in London on a Friday night. I had a vegetarian tart for the main course and it was delicious - we also had some sweet potato fry appetizer that was tasty. We were able to snag a corner table and, while it's very lively, we were actually able to hear each other... More

This place is right in our neighborhood and our favorite Sunday lunch. If you plan to go on Sunday, book ahead, as it often is full and people can't find seating. Both the pork and the beef are seriously good. It's got a great, cozy atmosphere and the food is delicious. They have a great selection of beers as well.

On the advice of our hotel doorman, we opted for an early afternoon pint and nibble at The Builders Arms on Kensington Court. Located on a rather quiet street corner in south Kensington, it looks the part of a neighborhood pub. An awning covers a large patio for warm weather drinking and dining. The large bar room boasts both large... More

We stayed on Launceston Place over Christmas week. We tried Builder's twice-once for lunch on a rainy Boxing Day and then for Sunday roast. We had great experiences both times, the first time with a party of 6. Good selection of the usual beers plus some unique beers, along with wine. Both times, the meals were good (winter vegetable tart,... More

We came here last year with a fiend who lives in Kensington. We went back a few days ago and loved it. Great fous, service and atmosphere and not too touristy.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this pub. Very quiet neighborhood and a great little pub. Of all the pubs I went to in London, I think this was my favorite.

Located in between High Street Kensington and Gloucester Road stations, this is a great place for drinks if you are a smoker. Offering several tables and benches for smokers and those who loved the outdoor, this cute neighbourhood pub also offers some great finger food. We found it tough to find pubs in london that offers outdoor sitting and this... More

Terrific atmosphere busy friendly a bit chaotic a good local watering hole. Good pub food but don't expect a gourmet experience. A good night out.

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
