Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Amazing

Seems like all the exquisite Spanish restaurants are a bit pricey but guess what, it's worth all the money!! Good but too expensive and too crowded. Service is fine. Be prepared to queue for hours: Barrafina is a London must-have.

My nephew took me to his amazing place one lunch on day last week and I was blown over. Fantastic food served by serving staff whose enthusiasm and fun lifted my spirit immediately. Real fun sea food and helpful suggestions. Fabulous Spanish wine. Go, go before it gets spoiled.

I went with friends , we were 4 of us. The restaurant is really really small and is a bit difficult to get a space all together. At that time we were lucky and the staff tried to fit all of us. We waited at least 1 hour but then when finally we start to eat....oh my gosh... everything was... More

About a year ago, a friend recommended Barrafina, as they had just had a fantastic evening there. If fact they claimed it was so good they gave me very generous gift voucher, to make sure i did. It was a sunny day, I was off and at a loose end. I called my folks and asked them what they were... More

Excellent spanish food. I especially enjoyed their parma ham and seafood cooked with olive oil, lemon and herbs. You can taste the freshness in your mouth. Too bad it's a very small restaurant and waiting is almost necessary.

Been here a couple of times and this restaurant always keep the excellent standard of food! Although you need to queue most of the time, it's definitely worth for the wait. I love everything on the menu and this is always my favourite tapas restaurant in London!

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
