Description: Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Barrafina has been on my bucket list for ages but the sizeable queues meant that I put it off for a long time. We finally went for an early lunch and I now just wish I'd gone sooner. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything from the octopus to the chicken with romanesco sauce was faultless.... More

We ate at Barrafina on 17/10. The food and wine were both lovely but not a patch on the tapas we often eat in Barcelona. Authentic dishes cooked well and good wine selection, just lacking a selection of nibbles/bites you expect at a tapas restaurant whilst you await your main dishes. also worth noting you will have to wait approx... Always nice and fresh food. Great atmosphere in very busy small place. Fantastic friendly staff. All you expect from nice Spanish tapas bar.

Admittedly I’m a fan of all things Tapas but this place is really special! The food is cooked right in front of you and the traditional tapas seating along the bar makes for great service, a waitress is only ever 1 metre away. The Oysters with lime and chilli I would highly recommend and are a twist on traditional oysters.... More

We decided to go to Barrafina quite last minute after work. We arrived at 6.20 or so and had to wait for half an hour which went pretty quickly with a nice glass of wine and bread with olive oil. I would 100% reccommend if you want to go then go EARLY. by the time we were having our main... More

A girlfriend and I visited Barrafina near Charing Cross / Covent Garden for the first time last week. The food was absolutely divine! We visited for a quick pre-theatre bite to eat and shared 4 dishes between 2 of us with a glass of champagne. The prawns, seafood risotto and oysters were particularly good. There were lots of specials on... More

My wife and I stopped by just after opening and the place was already packed! Luckily we were able to get a table outside since it was a cool evening and the other people waiting wanted to be inside. The heat lamps above kept us plenty warm though. We shared about 6 different tapas plates which were all excellent and... More

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch here last week with a friend. Great atmosphere, loved sitting around the bar watching the kitchen work. Really friendly, helpful waiting staff with great knowledge of the food and ingredients. I recommend the monkfish & the courgette flowers.

We arrived at 4.45 p.m. and when the doors opened at 5 we just managed to get the last two seats. We whole heartedly agree with the other reviewers. The food and the service is amazing. How the waitresses keep tabs on the orders I shall never know. Despite the hustle and bustle you never feel rushed. The handled my... More

Love the fact they earned a Michelin star. Have been eating here for a long time, and each time there's a queue. Also glad the waiters are still dressed casually and very friendly. Fantastic octupus and capers, milk fed lamb, prawns and sole. They have top charcuterie and cheese, but prefer eating their wonderful little dishes. The recommended wines paired... More
