Alright

An alright restaurant although somewhat old fashioned in its decor, menu, attitude and cooking style. A bit pricey for what you get. Service was okay ( a bit surly at first but lightened up). The lady on the electric piano was a nice touch. Food came in large portions. Unfortunately... read more

Wanted quick reasonable meal, this is a small old fashioned restaurant in need of updating. Waitress couldn't understand anything we asked for. Owner, I expect as he was an older gentleman following everyone around, could have been more welcoming. We asked for a pizza which had ham, mushrooms and chopped tomatoes to cone without chopped tomatoes but it came with... More

We ordered a plate of pasta, 2 pizza and tiramisu. The pasta was mediocre but pizza and tiramisu horrible. Tiramisu was since 1900 and pizza desgusting. But the most beautiful part: how much we payed for this? Well, 70 pounds. We were a little stupefied and sure, i have asked the waitress why. The answer: we must retain 10% of... More

The Trattoria Verdi Restaurant is just across the corner from the British Museum. After a longer visit to the Museum I decided with my friend to walk into the nest restaurant. We were both lucky that it was the Trattoria Verdi Restaurant. The food was absolutely great and the service was very friendly! I highly recommend this Italian restaurant and... More

We had a family group of 10 attending the Christmas Carols concert, and after a full day of touring around London we planned to meet for dinner at the Verdi. The place was quite busy and the staff were a bit stressed, but overall the service and food were reasonable. It's very convenient as a pre-concert option but there are... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
