We had a range of tapas - noteworthy were the gambas al ajillo and the jamon iberico. Gets very busy but worth waiting for a table or go early!

Visited on Saturday night and had expected Mayfair prices. Marvellous value set menus with great choice for meat eaters, seafood lovers and vegetarians. We struggled to finish all the dishes / there were so many. Great wine selection. Super Spanish hardworking, multi tasking, efficiency and friendly waiting staff. Really enjoyed it and will go back.

We had one dish that was just poor & everything else was ......... OK and extremely unimaginative . The set meals are... More

The wine selection is very wide, however the people there lacked knowledge and the first bottle that was served is sour. They changed it with a new bottle with no hesistance, which was good. The 2nd bottle tasted okay. The service is great, the food can be improved, the atmosphere is fantastic. i would definately come back again, for the... More

This was our second visit to El Pirata ( our first visit was in October), and enjoyed this restaurant so came back when we visited London in a couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed it just as much the second time, the staff are friendly, happy and very efficient, the food is good as I love lots of small portions,... El Pirata is a relic. A fun relic with a loud atmosphere but a relic nonetheless. The slightly Manuel-like waiters, the awful toilets but above all the food. We came a couple of years ago and didn't think the food was great but it has somehow deteriorated. We ordered about 15 dishes and they were uniformly terrible. Horrible mushy vegetable... More

Stumbled on El Pirata of Mayfair back in 2003 and were so happy with the experience that we booked a table for our first night back in London in 2014 (11 years later). Still wonderful. Definately sit downstairs if you can. Reasonably priced food and wine that were both high quality and served with a smile. Good food + good... More

I've been going to El pirata for coming on 9 years and it's still an amazing place, and one of the best tapas restaurants in West London. Prices are really reasonable given its Mayfair location. Food quality is great and a really good atmosphere. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

I have been to this restaurant many times and have always had good food and service, Until Saturday 13th December, arrived and ordered 2 set meals and a paella, food was rushed out and there did not seem to be as much food as usual I asked the waiter where the rest of our dishes were and was told that...
