Much-frequented by the rich and famous who love the combination of sexy decor, discreet service and great food. What's cooking? Pomelo spring roll with betel leaf salad. Atkin's diet chicken breast with a chili and lime sauce or tortellini des landes foie gras, roast sea scallops with ginger and basil; oriental chicken with a lime risottini; tamarillo sorbet with biscuit and coulis; iced chocolate almond pudding.

Came to Blake’s for a hen do (around 10 women) and we were really well accommodated for- service was not too intrusive but very knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. We had afternoon tea (and Champaign) in the Chinese room. Would definitely recommend!

I had the chance to visit the restaurant of the Blakes hotel. I was very warmly welcome by Andres and Lucas . The atmosphere is very cosy, the food delicious and the cocktail very well crafted.

Blakes is a really great place - a 5 star boutique hotel in a lovely residential area of London. Really eclectic and cool. The bar is terrific. Lukas, the barman, is superb - very helpful in all respects, and excellent at his job - congratulations to Blakes for hiring him.

another great evening at Blakes. arrived late, post-theatre and were met by the charming manager Andres, who looked after us beautifully all evening, along with his just-attentive-enough staff. the ingenious food was artfully presented and delicious--comprehensive menu features mostly European fare sometimes with an Asian twist. my foie-gras tortellini starter was magic. wine list featured some off-the-beaten track choices, with... I book the afternoon tea for me and my friend. We came to the hotel at lunch time on Saturday afternoon and for my surprice the restaurant was completly empty. The food was good but not great. In the end we received a bill with errors. Our champagne was priced £14 instead of £13 as on the menu. There was... More

Unexpectedly diverse menu with a real Californian twist given the options. Had tuna tartare followed by baked cod and both were exceptional. Bit dark in the dining room and makes you feel tired but was great.

What started as drinks in the bar ended up with dinner in the restaurant. I had the souffle to start. My sister ordered some wasabi type prawns and other things on the menu. To be honest, we were a little tipsy and very hungry. I ate everything she had ordered for me. The wine list is pricey and extensive. Unfortunately,... More

I recently visited the Bar at Blakes Hotel for a drink and simply loved this place!! I don´t normally write many reviews on Trip Advisor, but this time I felt this amazing spot in London had to be shared. Blakes Hotel is situated just minutes walking from Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stations, perfect location in London. When you... More

For the level of eatery I would consider this to be in, I have paid more money for a worse meal. The scallops with wasabi mash was amazing, the rib eye was good, but for the money you could probably get a nicer cut for similar money. But not in such luxurious surroundings.

In London for a special exhibition at the V and A, and we decided to make an occasion of it by adding an afternoon tea. We arrived mid-afternoon (very easy to get to via Gloucester Rd Tube, with a 7 min walk to build up an appetite)! The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and clearly had their fingers on the...
