Housed inside a repurposed industrial storage unit, all exposed ductwork and NYC-style brickwork across three floors, creative director Tim Weatherhead has created a canvas that showcases regularly rotating works from the area's best local artists. Pick something up for your own home safe in the knowledge that no commission is charged for the sale of a single piece or simply sit back and enjoy, cocktail in-hand. 'Creative socialising' is stitched into the very fabric of The Exhibit - from the playful food and drink in the bar and restaurant through to the eclectic nature of its exciting social calendar. Whether it's choosing something from the the events programme or creating you own bespoke social experience in one of the fabulously flexible spaces, The Exhibit is a dynamic entertainment hub that affords Londoners the opportunity to get together and be inspired, whether work or play. From arthouse cinema to retro films, excellently-prepared cocktails to craft bottle beers, lunchtime 'flat whites' to Friday night knees-ups, The Exhibit is here for your entertainment throughout the year. Soak up the sunshine on the balcony during balmier months or hole up here for your Christmas shin-dig come winter. Book The Gallery or The Studio for dinner with friends, meetings with colleagues, private rehearsals, local exhibitions - whatever. The space is yours to use as you please. Beer Pong Thursdays!

Not sure if they are still doing these but we used to make the long trip from Dalston to Balham to compete in the famous Beer Pong events the Exhibit held. Finishing runners up on the first occasion and not making it out of the group stages on the second. With a team name (two people per team... read more

This place has recently enjoyed a rethink and the result is excellent. A nice table, friendly relaxed service and a great and eclectic menu. It works for brunch as well as a serious dinner with a modern twist. At our table we saw eggs Benedict, mussels, roast pork and goat curry, among other things; all delicious. They also have a... Ideal for a quick summer lunch sat outside. Great night out open until 2AM. Have recently refurbished so even better. Nice patio area out front. Cinema and private hire room upstairs.

Having been a big fan of the old Exhibit Diner (especially for breakfast) my partner and I were keen to see the 'new and improved' Exhibit. The new interior looks great, the place has gotten a much needed face lift but unfortunately with the new fancy decor and the re-vamped menu it's no longer as relaxed as it once was... More

I've been in the new Exhibit on a number of occasions since its latest refurbishment and I can honestly say that it is a great and very versatile place. The bar downstairs looks amazing and the simple yet sophisticated cocktail menu guarantees something for everyone. Upstairs is the new Exhibit restaurant. Again very nice looking with a chilled out, unpretentious... More

Having had a complete renovation the bar now sits in the middle of the room and serves good cocktails albeit pricey. The wine list is appalling with most out of stock. Very poor service and above all the music is far too loud

So, there I am sat down with a group of friends with my hunger on. I'd ordered the corn beef hash, thinking that will sort me right out. Then my plate emerged in front of me with a confused looking plate of Corn Beef Hash. The portion for the price was embarrassing. Such a large plate for a meagre bit... More

We went here to watch a film and have some food & drinks. The cinema is brilliant, not too big and lovely comfy sofas, with free popcorn and water which was a nice touch. In the bar it was really nice décor and setup, the cocktails we very good but service was extremely slow, they could have done with another... More

I like the changes and new feel to the Exhibit in Balham. They new layout, decor and furniture have taken the quality of the venue up somewhat. I went for the Burger which was around £12.50 I think and tasted good. If you're a Balham local and wondering if the changes are for the good, I'd say drop in and... More

The bar and restaurant has undergone a complete change going back to fine dining away from American Dinner which means its now competing with the likes of Balham Arms, Lamberts and Harrisons. I was really impressed with the pheasant and crispy kale. Ever changing specials are good. They have some great offers on until end of Feb 15 as they... More
