Reasonably priced hotel bar and restaurant with great views

I visit The Heights regularly to use the bar. It's an ideal place to sit down and catch up with friends. There are plenty of couches, plus standard seats or high-tables with stools. Friendly staff provide table service and they have a standard selection of drinks/cocktails to choose from. They... read more

Invited by friends to join them for lunch at The Heights. The ambience, food, wine and company combined to make a special lunch that will take a lot to beat. By accident or design we were the ONLY diners that day. The quality of the starter (seared scallops and king prawns) and the main course (pan fried duck) was superb... More

I have been here a few times and would recommend it for a drink whilst overlooking London. The cocktails seem expensive but the are doubled. Also lots of free crisps. The service is a little slow but that feels OK as it's a generally relaxed atmosphere. Not too busy. It's one of those places to take a relative or friend... More

We went here with some local Londoners who remember this being a good business restaurant with a great view of the city in the past. Frankly on both counts it was a disappointment. The maître d' in charge looked and acted as though he was working under duress and should have been fired. The food was boring, took forever to... More

We went as a party of four on a Friday evening at around 7:00. We were told there was no need to book and there wasn't. The décor is jaded but the restaurant is due for a refit in 2015. We had a table by a window looking West over London to a marvellous sunset. Service was good and prompt.... More

I went there with a friend who only had an hour for lunch and we had to leave most of the meal uneaten. We ordered the daily special because we thought that that would be faster but it still took 40 minutes to get to us. There were very few people eating there, so the cook could not have been... More

I had a "full English breakfast" here. The food was fine -- typical full English breakfast. I suppose it is difficult to get this sort of breakfast wrong! Staff were fine -- not great, but better than the norm in England (I suppose because the staff were all from overseas). What really sets this place apart is the great, panoramic... More

Took my friend here for a christmas treat on our christmas shopping date! Planned this surpise and was a real treat. Although the concierge downstairs wasnt very helpful when we asked if the heights restaurant was within the building, the staff in the restaurant were helpful. The food was really nice and they had the champagne was a nice treat!... More

Booked for an evening meal with family at the Heights. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is pleasant and comfortable - and of course the views are great. The menu is limited but we found the food to be very good indeed, across all 3 courses - and this was made better by the service, which was excellent. Prices... More

We went for a living social special offer for afternoon tea. The views were very good and the restaurant is reasonably furnished. The cost was. £11 with the deal full price it was £22 per person. You expect afternoon tea to have a selection of cakes on a cake stand and a few rounds of sandwiches of a selection of... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
