Description: Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise...
Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise, already accredited with several Michelin Stars at restaurants throughout the world, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's philosophy is based on serving simple cuisine of the most exceptional quality. This London restaurant has been awarded Michelin Star, as well as 3 AA Rosettes, establishing it as one of the most exceptional places to dine in London. Robuchon's menu delights the palate with clean insightful flavours and refreshingly understated presentation. The dishes are predominantly French with Italian and Spanish influences. The dining experience at L'Atelier is an interactive one. On the ground floor, the eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the food is prepared. Robuchon sees the immediate benefit of this Japanese-inspired layout to chefs, as one can gauge the reaction of clients, and even converse with them whilst they watch their food being prepared. Unlike the sister restaurants in Paris and Tokyo, the London restaurant also has another 20 seats where diners can sit opposite each other. Meanwhile, La Cuisine on the first floor offers more traditional restaurant seating in a setting that could be likened to dining in the kitchen itself. Wherever you are seated you will enjoy the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment. Valet parking is also available. Please note, last reservations are taken half an hour prior to closing time. Dress code: Smart Casual, shorts are not permitted.

Best meal I had in London on this trip

Like Wow... We went for lunch on a Friday in early May. We were initially shown into L'Atelier which has more of a counter/chef's window concept - which I like but my colleague preferred the restaurant dining feel of La Cusine on the first floor. It's a win-win. The atmosphere was lively yet... read more

Each time I am going to London I go there. I love to sit at the bar and order French tapas style dishes. The concept is excellent as you can taste different delicious dishes in small portion while watching the show in the kitchen. If you are more than 2 you can also sea at a table. The service is... The food here is amazing. So good it stops conversation. Such amazing flavours and combinations. Beautifully presented dishes such as lobster tempura, pea velouté, egg on piperade to name a few. This is a must do before you die place to eat! Probably up there with one of my very best meals of all time. Great wine list to match... More

Was treated to lunch here by a friend, what a great lunch. Everything was explained to you, a nice 2,3 or 4 course Set lunch menu, with accompanying wines. Service was great, the waiter explained the wines clearly best on each course - they were all an excellent choice. Great place for lunch, the location is excellent - tucked between... More

A disappointing experience (apart from wine). Portions are ridiculously small. Tastes are not authentic and merely absent from most dishes due to erroneous ingredient mixing. It's a lot about reputation and supposedly refined modern cuisine. You will get invisible dishes with fizzy sauces. Well, I must say this is not at all French food. This is French food for people... Everything was marvellous, the service, the place and atmosphere, the superb food, the wine paring! We choose to have several mini dishes instead of main and it was a good choice. The best were the ravioli langoustine, lamb chops. The desserts were also quite an experience : sphere (chocolat and hazel nuts mousse with coffee sorbet) was delicious and unexpectedly... More

Two friends and I dined on the ground floor for lunch on Tuesday 1st May. We opted for the 4 course lunch with wine pairings at a great price of £59. We arrived early for our reservation so we popped upstairs for a drink before lunch. The corridors, lift and bar were all very dark. However, the decor was quite... More

I went here with a friend for lunch recently and was surprised that it was right next door to the Ivy, where I have eaten a number of times. We chose to eat downstairs at the L'atelier part, sitting at the 'bar' area, where we could watch the chefs preparing everything right in front of us. We chose the three... More

I took my brother to this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive and the chef came and talked to us about various dishes. We had the menu Decouverte with 'Discover Europe matching wines' It was wonderful. Thank you very much
