Description: An eccentric Italian restaurant in the heart of Londons upmarket...
An eccentric Italian restaurant in the heart of Londons upmarket Kensington, Arcadia is a welcome change from the hushed atmosphere and all-white dcor of the areas usual dining offerings. Bright and outlandish, the surroundings here at Arcadia are anything but neutral, with murals on the walls, quirky colour schemes and character aplenty. Likewise, the service is friendly and cheerful, the staff laughing along with guests as they dart from table to table, serving food and topping up wine glasses. Arcadias bustling kitchen is the origin of an all Italian menu of authentic classic dishes, all with a homemade, traditional flavour with most items made in house, including the fabulous hand-prepared pasta featured in a wide array of the dishes. A bit of a hidden gem amongst the many typically Kensington-friendly restaurants, the Arcadia is packed with personality and authenticity, providing its guests with an always memorable fun and colourful dining experience including high quality food, a good selection of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent food and service but now looking tired

Revisited this restaurant after two years and have to say our memories were slightly tarnished by the way the owners have let the decor and furnishings deteriorate. That a side the food is fab and the staff very friendly. Good Italian food.

The staff here are fab and the place has a great atmosphere, however not all the food was good. The shellfish risotto was apparently very nice. the mixed shellfish dish which was the most expensive on the menu, however, seemed poor value in comparison. My 'veal' with potatoes and mange tout was mainly potatoes and mange tout; the meat was... More

Had dinner at here and the food was excellent. Great service and friendly staff. The atmosphere was great with full house all the times during dinner and great wines too. Will come back again soon

My husband and I ate at Arcadia for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We both had appetizers, bread and fish dishes and thought the food and service and superb. We were too full for dessert, but other patrons nearby had ordered dessert and it looked delicious. It's a bit pricey, but worth it.

The most wonderful authentic Italian food I have ever had! This place is a hidden gem. The staff are excellent, warm , funny, charming and made us feel at home. The food is divine. Homemade fresh pasta, (the bolognaise is heavenly), dishes which are authentic to Italy and no such things as brushetta or garlic bread thank god! A warm... More

Seeking an early dinner we happened on Arcadia off High Stree Kensington. Typically Italian ambience and food, sharing a starter then moving on to risotto and gnocchi which were very good. Only problem was the over attentive service, waiters pouring wine into your glass after almost every mouthful. This was possibly because it was so quite at the time. Will... More

We saw the set menu price of 12.95 for 3 courses and decided it was definitely worth a shot, given most mains alone cost more than that in the area. After being seated, we were initially disappointed by the fact that the set menu only had two options for each course, Starters- Bruschetta/Soup Mains-Pangasius/Tomato Spaghetti Desserts- Apple tart/Blueberry Semifreddo Although... We stumbled into this cosy Italian hidden restaurant by mistake, and was so pleased with the service and quality of food. It's one of those intimate Italian eateries that are perfect for couples or maximum four people as the place is small although there is a seating area downstairs. The bruschetta was so delicious although it looked bland at first... More

It's always a surprise that there aren't loads of eating places near to the Royal Albert Hall. Anyway, without having booked (now we know better!), we trawled around the area looking for somewhere and we declined as fully booked. However.............. On the offchance, we tried Arcadia who did everything they could to accommodate us and found us a table for... More
