Description: An eccentric Italian restaurant in the heart of Londons upmarket...
An eccentric Italian restaurant in the heart of Londons upmarket Kensington, Arcadia is a welcome change from the hushed atmosphere and all-white dcor of the areas usual dining offerings. Bright and outlandish, the surroundings here at Arcadia are anything but neutral, with murals on the walls, quirky colour schemes and character aplenty. Likewise, the service is friendly and cheerful, the staff laughing along with guests as they dart from table to table, serving food and topping up wine glasses. Arcadias bustling kitchen is the origin of an all Italian menu of authentic classic dishes, all with a homemade, traditional flavour with most items made in house, including the fabulous hand-prepared pasta featured in a wide array of the dishes. A bit of a hidden gem amongst the many typically Kensington-friendly restaurants, the Arcadia is packed with personality and authenticity, providing its guests with an always memorable fun and colourful dining experience including high quality food, a good selection of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Arcadia versus Prezzo

We walked from the Kensington Close hotel the short distance to Kensington Court off Kensington High Street looking for somewhere to eat, last time we ate at Prezzo, but this time we thought we would try Arcadia. We had no trouble getting a table, the food was good, we both opted for fettuccine... read more

Wow... Fantastic food, one of the best italian restaurants I've ever been in London. Try "crocchette" to start and then a special.... You won't be disappointed, as italian I can promise it s like eating at your gramma!

Food was average, little fish in my pasta, stuck in the 1980 restaurant, never again! Carpaccio was nice but no cooking involved! My girlfriend's sea bass was not the best, too much oil, and said that my spinach tasted better!

This place is under-rated! I am from San Francisco which has a history of great Italian food. My wife and I ate here twice this week and lived it! We had the Carpaccio apetizer both times - it was the best I have had in Europe! We had Ossobuco on risotto the first time and fish (halibut and tuna) tonite.... More

We had a late lunch/early evening meal at Arcadia before going to the proms and chose the restaurant as it was between Leighton House which we visited earlier and the Royal Albert Hall. It being an odd time the restaurant was quiet with a handful of tables taken. The service was good and friendly. I chose mussels and clams to... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by a short Italian man who hadn't shaved his moustache in a few days, I thought ho hum lets get on with it. He then showed us to our seats which were ok but there was some man (probably Turkish) sat in his van blocking our view of the cobbled street, this was less than... More

Had a lovely lunch on a sunny summers day watching the world go by. Portions could be larger for the price. Would I go again? Maybe

We were looking for somewhere to sit outside for an evening meal after a lovely sunny day, and how fortunate were we to find this restaurant. The waiters could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The food was beautifully presented, quality ingredients and very tasty. The bread was lovely, fresh and light, the Puddings were perfect. I had a... More

The starter took 75 minutes to arrive and the main course another 60 minutes - all of this from the set menu. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery. The waiters were unhelpful and rude. Will not be going back. The resataurant needs to learn that they exist to serve their customers rather than the customers seving the dilatory waiters.

We had some lovely food at this restaurant The service was fantastic and was served with a very authentic Italian feel. We were served a complimentary Lemon Chello after to finish off our dinner. The food lacked some flavour but still lovely.
