Description: An eccentric Italian restaurant in the heart of Londons upmarket Kensington, Arcadia is a welcome change from the hushed atmosphere and all-white dcor of the areas usual dining offerings. Bright and outlandish, the surroundings here at Arcadia are anything but neutral, with murals on the walls, quirky colour schemes and character aplenty. Likewise, the service is friendly and cheerful, the staff laughing along with guests as they dart from table to table, serving food and topping up wine glasses. Arcadias bustling kitchen is the origin of an all Italian menu of authentic classic dishes, all with a homemade, traditional flavour with most items made in house, including the fabulous hand-prepared pasta featured in a wide array of the dishes. A bit of a hidden gem amongst the many typically Kensington-friendly restaurants, the Arcadia is packed with personality and authenticity, providing its guests with an always memorable fun and colourful dining experience including high quality food, a good selection of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Whilst the food is always delicious, I'm always amazed that the staff - mostly young men - serve my daughter before myself. She's far prettier and younger than I of course, but old fashioned courtesy generally serves the elder female before all others at the table. This has been going on for years and we tend to giggle about it now.... Arcadia is one of the best in the area with friendly staff and traditional Italian cuisine. My kids are happy to have a fun with waiters and they support their games.

We chose to eat here for an early supper. They do advertise 2 set courses for a very reasonable price but not a very exciting menu. The waiter informed us of the specials menu and we had 2 courses from that. It is our fault we did not ask the price, as we never saw it written down but instead... More

Eating out in London can be challenging. There are many overrated, overcharging and superficial restaurants. However, Arcadia is one of the nicest restaurants I have had the pleasure to dine at in London in many years. Although the address is 35 Kensington High Street, the restaurant is located in an alleyway off the street. A small restaurant with a few... More

We absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere (outside seating) was delightful and the service was very good. It is just "around the corner" and in the evening the locals who lived around or above came out on the street and chatted with neighbors. It was delightful to observe. We would definitely eat there again,... More

Lovely little Italian restaurant tucked out of the hustle and bustle - very good food and even better when you get the bill! - not tourist trap prices - could be why we've been a couple of times.

Large group so they put us downstairs which was perfect. We could celebrate and talk and not bother other patrons. Edwardo was fun and suggested some good wine. Food and service did not disappoint and all enjoyed very much. This was our second visit and would highly recommend. Easy location near high street Kensington tube. Great!will return!!!!

Occassionaly we (group of 4) came across this restaurant for dinner. No free table on terasse, so we entered and went downstairs. Interior was very Italian, a bit shabby though. Service was good, positively eager and the waiter even recommended specialities outside printed menu, might have been priced pretty much higher, too. Dinner was really Italian, food was good, so... Four us eat there recently after a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. We arrived close to closing time and were rushed into ordering as the waiter told us the kitchen was closing in five minutes. The food was reasonable but nothing special and the portions of ravioli, in particular, were tiny. Hardly enough for a starter let alone a... More

We were taking a stroll through Kensington High Street and spotted this on a little side street. It had come recommended to us by my parents who frequent the place for lunch whenever they are in the area and it really didn't disappoint. It was almost 3pm when we arrived, we were seated promptly, and it was absolutely no problem... More
