You'd have to go a long way to beat this

Service, food, atmosphere all absolutely brilliant. Lovely Canadian waiter who was very polite and helpful. Went for hen night so room was booked downstairs where one could take DVD and have it projected while eating. Quite shabby chic and a lovely atmosphere

The bar is nice with a good atmosphere. We had a private party in the cinema room which held about 30 people and was a good location. The staff were helpful and happy to be flexible - everyone liked the food too.

We arranged to meet our two London based children here to celebrate a return from Thailand and a departure to France, it was recommended - but was disappointing. We were sat near the door, which was not good on a cold Saturday. The food looked good but was all cold, with cold plates - one son who had the beef,... More

Always a busy restaurant, it is essential to book any night of the week. Food was very good, better value than many others, service very attentive, meals came quickly. Highly recommended as a quality eating spot in the Southwark area.

I had brunch, diner and drinks here on a few occasions and each time found it consistent with their service regardless of how much money you are leaving. It has a very nice vintage/chic décor and it combines well the traditional with modern. Staff are uber attentive and helpful. And they serve the mightiest fish and chips of them all!

We've been to the Garrison several times and each time I have been impressed by the food. Perfect for a quiet client lunch or for a less formal friends and family lunch. However, if you are going to charge over £15 for fish and chips the pub needs to be about more than just the food and, on our most... More

We were staying nearby and were looking for somewhere for breakfast and came across The Garrison. It was a chilly day in London and all needed something comforting and warming which is exactly what we got here. Thoroughly recommended.

Tucked right away, this place had a great atmosphere with amazing food. Quite an expensive night but the food was really good.

Went for a team dinner. The place was very busy and annoyingly they turn tables at around 8.30pm. Starters were interesting but the chestnut dish was a reminder of old fashioned nut roasts! Very dry and little taste. Definitely better for meat eaters !

My sister and I were in town for a two day visit in December. After an icy trip around The White Cube, we needed sustenance. We came here about 11.30. Lovely intriguing interior, very well DRESSED in modern meets comfy country kitchen sort of way. Very cosy. My sister had a vegetarian breakfast which was massive, it included spinach so... More
