During my first experience here, only one of the specials was still available (a reoccurring theme to my experiences at the Garrison). When we begrudgingly placed our order of four meals that we didn't really want, we then had to wait one and a half hours to be served. The food was then presented freezing cold AND burned - seemingly... More

Took ages to be served even though it wasn't particularly busy as the staff were uninterested in taking our order for their well over priced drinks. Seemed a nice cosy place to enjoy a pint - but the staff were not helpful and the management we're even worse - after just sitting down we were told to leave as they... More

The Garrison has a lovely setting, perfect for a late sunday dinner and a few glasses of wine - or so I thought. Me and my girlfriend got a warm welcome upon arrival, but that was about as good as it got. The confit duck leg starter was nice enough but it was minuscule and drowned in a rocket salad.... More

The Garrison's rustic chic vibe sounded ideal for a lazy Sunday afternoon meal to me. It's homely shabby ambience calls for a hearty meal and a delicious dessert but sadly it was a huge disappointment. Starters - pretty small in size and averagely tasting, the mains - pretty tasteless but acceptable and the price - totally ridiculous. Despite the warm... More

Had a small table booked for my brothers birthday and was looking forward to Sunday lunch having read some positive reviews. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and overall we were welcomed and served by helpful and friendly staff - for most of our meal. Unfortunately the very rude waitress (with short dark hair) spoiled our experience somewhat. Drinks were... More

From the arrogant guy who seemed to be in charge, who told us we had to wait for a table as there were others already waiting (there weren't) to the very poor fish and chips I really disliked this place. The waitress was ok, but I had already been turned off by the first guy and the cost of a... More

This place is fabulous! The decor is great - delightfully eccentric and quirky giving the place a fantastic atmosphere - loved the tea cup lights! The staff are lovely and perfectly charming. There is a nice choice of beer and a super wine list. The menu was great and had some unusual dishes with interesting takes on traditional English fare.... More

This is a well established venue, on the gastro pub theme. It was strange then that they only had one real ale on offer , Adams not that well kept. The service and atmosphere very good indeed, but the food was average and somewhat bland, my partner had sardines( she was given 2 )as a starter which were anaemic and... More

We came across this establishment on our way and it looks inviting with the open windows (hot - summer). The staff was very friendly to accommodate us. The menu looks promising and the food was delicious. Value price/quality was OK. The decoration was original along with the presentation of the food. When you are in the neighborhood, try it out.

I know the specials in the title are a bit unusual but take a walk on the wild side! The squid was one of the best meals I've ever eaten in London and my picky son actually ordered and devoured, the pork cheeks. Yummy potatoes. I asked for strong coffee as had not had any for breakfast and I was... More
