Very small seating area but what a restaurant. Ottolinghi is a well known chef. The menu is interesting and the food healthy, fresh and organic. At the counter there's a display of freshly baked biscuits, small cakes and pies. It's a feast for the eyes. They make incredible salads that one can... read more

A pleasure for the eyes as well as all else, Ottolenghi deserves its reputation. We had one main course, ( a main and two or three salads ), high quality ingredients, freshly-prepared, and good value. The service was intelligent and highly-professional ( a lovely lady from northern Spain ), and it was ideal, to treat a visitor from outside London.... More

I have been a fan of Yotam Ottolenghi's cookbooks years now, so when I went to London with my parents I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this place out. There are several locations to choose from so make sure you know which one you made a reservation at. The menu is basically divided into two sections. One is... More

The food quality is good but the trick of serving small, tapas style, portions means you end up paying way over the odds for what you get. Also, the salads and cakes are displayed near the counter at the entrance, without being covered. This cannot be hygienic, as customers can cough on and brush against them. For this reason I... Went in on a busy Saturday, was very lucky to grab a table for two without much difficulty. Had seared beef with a horseradish/sour cream dip which was absolutely divine! Accompanied by the ever-popular broccoli with chilli and garlic, as well as pesto and pea new potatoes. I guess a topic for debate is the preparation vs price vs quantity.... More

Popped in here yesterday evening post theatre ( having taken the precaution of booking) Food superb as ever - we had their always outstanding aubergine salad - this time with date yogurt and pickled lemons and perfectly seared tuna. Then prawns and grilled quail - all perfectly and inventively cooked. Finished with a wonderful carrot cake - far removed from... More

This is a restaurant worth trying though not repeating. Flavors are usually very interesting and the roast eggplant salad with date yoghurt was delicious. The two lamb chops were delicious and perfectly cooked. Other dishes, like the grilled prawns, are a miss. Portions are very measured and a bit too small. Service is fine though not particularly warm and friendly.

Vegetarian or not, this place is a great stop for a flavorful meal. Immensely enjoyed lunch here. The atmosphere is relaxed, helped along by the informed staff and happily fed customers. Take out is also quick if you need a bite on the go. The pastries and desserts are fancifully beautiful but have the flavor to match.

We've always had good food and services from this place especially in the evenings. Always fresh and clean, well presented. Love their aubergines - whatever the style. Their desserts are too sweet for me. I always find their seating uncomfortable after half an hour though

Very tasty food, especially the desserts. Friendly, informal atmosphere and our waiter was well informed about the food and wine.
