Great fusion food

We went without a reservation, quite late on a Saturday, so we were not expecting much. However, this totally surprised and impressed us. Great service, nice foods, variety of options!

Great atmosphere, light delicious food and amazing desserts. They change the menu from time to time so no issue in going back after a few weeks! have I mention the amazing desserts? Great place to go with friends as plates can be to share.

My partner likes Middle Eastern food and we've seen the recipes in the Guardian so we thought we would try the place out. I wanted to like the food but I just didn't really enjoy it, partly I think because it was a bit too worthy and healthy and lacked strong distictive flavours. But I think the execution could have... Having read all the recipes in the Guardian I decided I needed to come and see what it was supposed to taste like.Had the bacon and leek quiche and tried 5 salads between us.Pleasant place, shared tables unless you're lucky.Could have done with more spice overall.Salads would be more tasty at room temperature rather than cold.Fabulous bread.Curious orange wine.

Visited Ottolenghi on a date night with my wife. First things first... Why the if communal tables? I know it seems like a good idea and visually/conceptually prob felt right but on a dinner for two-type evening it just didn't work. Could have worked if we'd been a group of four or more but not as a couple. I'd booked... More

I went to this place because of the great reviews. But, first of all, I find annoying find a mail and several phone calls for confirmation (if I can't go,i call you). The restaurant is pleasant, good service, polite and prepared. The menu is unfortunately not extended, but if it's for a good reason, no problem. We took two cold... More

Family lunch get-together - I had never been to this restaurant before but we had heard good things about the food. I was unsure at first as I knew you shared tables and you could not book ahead.(although there are tables for two along the side we were four). It didn't matter at all, we waited for a little while... More

I've just been to Ottolenghi for the first time for a family lunch. When you queue for a table (it's popular) you get to see all of the beautifully presented savoury and sweets at the front of the restaurant (you can take away too). The menu is simple and allows you to sample the range of vegetable and salad sides... More

Ottolenghi is my favourite chef and I often frequent Nopi but thought Id give this a try as a change. As expected the food was fantastic- can't fault in any way, the wine also was great and I liked the tapas style mains that you share making the meal very sociable. However as dining is about the whole experience the... More

There were four of us adults, celebrating my younger daughter's birthday. We arrived late morning and were lucky enough to have avoided the long queues for both the late breakfast and early lunch. However, we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table and, almost as soon as we had sat down the queue for a table was out... More
