Great experience

We hadn't booked but were welcomed by a smiling Maitre D, who said no problem, give him a minute, and it was just that, and my wife and I had a lovely semi- circular table, looking at the whole restaurant, and it's a beautiful view. Our waiter was really friendly, and we soon had our drinks, and... read more

Wonderful visit - great choice of excellent food - and nice setting, quite relaxed and relatively fast service from friendly staff. Good choice for something nice and not overly expensive. Will always try and visit! ESPECIALLY for breakfast (if you can get in!)

Was here with my wife on Friday and once again it's up there with the best in London I only wish I didn't go to the Berners tavern on the Sunday as that's down there with the worst

I used to go to the Wolseley on a weekly basis for work and pleasure. I am a top contributor to Tripadvisor and if you see my review of the Delaunay it was so nice that it was read out at their weekly management meeting. My last visit to The Wolesley was February and less than a week later I... More

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and enjoyed our afternoon tea here. Great service and lovely food. Beautiful building too.

We came for breakfast and we were both a bit disappointed with the food. The space is gorgeous and having a meal here is a fun experience but don't expect a great meal. I remember coming here years ago for lunch and liking it so perhaps their breakfast is just not as good?

This restaurant was right next to our hotel, which was convenient, but it was also recommended to us as we were looking for somewhere for lunch. It is a beautiful old world restaurant with a large airy room and lots of tables. If you are after intimate dining, this probably isn't the best choice, but we weren't, which meant that... More

We shared lunch with friends at Wolseley, for me a lobster cocktail and cold poached salmon, as well prepared as any such that I've enjoyed anywhere. My Brit friend had a roast stuffed pheasant, not on the menu just now I see. It had an ... interesting flavor, my friend seemed to enjoy greatly. Great service, lively fun place, perfect... More

Read about this in the FT and thought we would visit. made sure we could get a table and were very glad we did. The place is jumping. I ordered the large wiener schnitzel and 2 others the small. Save you money and order the small for 10 pounds hardly any difference in size. The taste is quite good and... More

Fantastic experience to have breakfast at this restaurant, we had reserved a table and were on the first floor area which only has 2 tables. Service impeccable as was the food definitely worth every penny. Another one off my bucket list!

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
