We went to the Wolseley for afternoon tea and it turned out to be a wonderful way to spend the evening . The food was amazing ; the sandwiches were fresh , tasty and the perfect combination of flavours . The scones were hot, buttery and light ; but the sweets were unbelievably good ; lovely selection of deserts (... More

The Wolseley has long been a favourite but this is the first time that we have made it for breakfast. As it was a birthday, we had to have champagne to start; it was all good but the star had to be the caramelised pink grapefruit - a revelation! The Wolseley is such a wonderful room it is always a... I went here with a friend after a visit to Buckingham Palace. The Wolseley is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely building. We hadn't booked but they were happy for us to wait at the bar for around 15 minutes, so a glass of bubbles was necessary! The food is amazing and service was amazing. The only problem was that... A beautiful restaurant right next to the Ritz. We were there on a Sunday, and roast beef was the special of the day. It was delicious. We also had the Nicoise salad and it was great. Service was impeccable. Apparently many celebrities eat here. We didn't see any.

Where to start! This really is my new favourite eating establishment in Central London. I eat out several times per week at all the usual places...J Sheekey, The Ivy, Scotts etc and as much as I enjoy these restaurants The Wolseley really is in a different league. Firstly it is not nor does it claim to be a posh restaurant... More

Saturday nite, 3 couples, food and wine as wonderful as the company. Good selection of entrees, and wine. Service was good, a bit slow at times, but more than adequate. This is definitely a local great restaurant- we were fortunate to go to a special place. Great people watching for eclectic guests!! Pecosbill

I had never heard of the Wolseley but we asked around when in London for a good place to have high tea and were guided to the Wolseley. We were so glad we went. The tea, while expensive, was fabulous. The sandwiches, desserts and scones were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Wait staff was very respectful, quiet and unobtrusive while... More

Where do I start! This was my third visit to The Wolseley, but unfortunately I will NOT be returning! We waited over 20 minutes for bread. Gluten free bread took even longer (and they did know this request in advance!) and when it did arrive for some reason it was toasted! My mum's rib eye steak arrived without the butter,... More

Here for a working breakfast, for which the atmosphere is great and the food excellent. No-one is rushed, but it did take a little while to get the bill and it was wrong, which is not what you expect of a restaurant of this quality. How many people have two cappuccino coffees after two pots of tea?
