If you want good honest straightforward cuisine, served in a polite and professional way in an environment that is smart and airy, then here is the place. Not always si easy to get a reservation but with a little patience and some charm gets you a long way.

A dinner catch up with a friend. Lovely surroundings. Menu extensive and reasonably priced. Staff v obliging. From the onset to the departure this was an amazing experience. I cannot wait to return and try the other food on the menu so much choice needed a carry out for desserts 😃

Great BRITISH establishment. Atmosphere and interior very very lovely. Menu is great and service to Match. Location is one of the best in London and lots to do in the area once you have finished. Trot along to the Burlington arcade for some window shopping!

Celebrating our eldest's 17th Birthday we decided to take her somewhere special - hence The Wolesley. We were not disappointed. Immaculate service, extraordinary food, lovely ambiance. We all felt totally spoilt. Wonderful

Was glad I could easily get a table for a Saturday night, service very attentive when we arrived. Food was good, scallops and steak with bearnaise sauce were lovely. The wine was disappointing and overpriced but I guess that's london for you! Shame though as the steak deserved a better accompaniement, and we went for the most expensive on the... More

We were at the Wolsey for afternoon tea. The food which was served was delicious, the atmosphere very exclusive and fancy even though it was quite busy and loud and the staff very friendly. The price was quite steep, but I guess that's to be expected!

My first visit to this restaurant. A personal welcome on arrival from the receptionist led to a fabulous dinner. The restaurant was packed out at 8.30 but the service was timely and attentive. Great food and very reasonable prices for the quality and the environment

Beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend the Roast Landaise Chicken - very moist chicken with a delicious sauce. Do order some sides though as it only comes with a few mushrooms. The vanilla mille feuille was also quite good.

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
