Excellent night out to Dinner

We arrived early and started at the bar, the G&T's and the service at the bar was excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurants was buzzing, we was shown to our table, our waiter was attentive and took our order, we ordered starters and main course. Really very sad , I won't be going back having adored being at the Wolesley in the past. Everything that was special has gone, the atmosphere, the service and the quality of the cuisine. It was all special and charming and isn't now. Even asking one of the waiters to take a family picture was a problem, err no, not... More

My daughter-in-law and I share a birthday. My son has a problem. Mother or wife. Well, if you have a similar problem, go to The Wolseley. Our party included a toddler - not quite three years old, her mother, brother, aunt and grandmother. Confused? The waiting staff took control and we were all well served. We were a demanding group... We took a real English breakfast in this London's institution and I must say we are fully satisfied. Interiors are great, chic and opulent, but not "too much". We made a reservation one day before. Lovely table silver service, including tea pots. Everything was tasty and very traditional, my husband even tried a haggis - great! Service was efficient and... More

We had 3 meals here over the past few days, 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner, all were simply great. The place is well organised, busy with a good atmosphere and plenty of very efficient, pleasant staff. All our food was really good with no disappointments, especially the breakfasts. Overall, one of the best places we have been to for some... More

We came here for breakfast, what a great posh place it is. The ambience is very chic and upper class. The service is very great, staff is polite and attentive. The breakfast and coffee was very good. It was a wonderful treat and I'll come back anytime.

This was our third visit to The Wolseley each time for dinner. This one was a birthday surprise by my wife. The ambiance is wonderful and the food very tasty and well presented. From the moment that you enter to the moment that you leave ALL of the staff cannot do enough to ensure that you have a memerable evening.... More

Compared to the Delaunay this place is really far inferior. Disinterested Waiters, soup way too salty and my wife's main course was just awful. The base sauce was again too salty and we sent it back. The waiter discussed it with a Manager and I saw the waiter pointing towards us just shrugging as if we had no right to... More

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
