I love the Wolseley and if you are in London you have to eat here. I suspect we were here on an off night so qualify this review on that basis. The Wolseley is housed next to the Ritz in the old car showroom for Wolseley cars. The decor inside is ornate and for reasons that I have yet to... More

I had been meaning to try out the Wolseley for some time, so while we were in town we booked in for lunch and we were not disappointed. The building is an interesting part of london architecture and history as it was the original home and show room for the Wolseley Car, then it was a Barclays Bank, then a... More

I think if one is in business then a breakfast at The Wolseley is mandatory! One goes for the ambiance. Once you are served, the food is perfectly fine!

I've now tried the Wolseley virtually round the clock - Breakfast, Coffee, Brunch, Lunch, Tea and Dinner ! It is always buzzing with great, friendly service ans consistently excellent food. Our latest visit was for a brunch before going to a wedding scheduled for 13.00. The menu really lends itself to this sort of casual dining and it did not... More

This was my third visit and the experience gets better and better. We were there early December and were seated up on the balcony where there is a table for six, we requested the same table and were delighted to be seated there again. Our Scottish waiter greeted us, made suggestions and advised us of the specials. I had the... More

I have been to The Wolseley (and it's sister restaurant The Delaunay) for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and have found the food and the service to be consistently excellent. My most recent visit was last Friday for champagne afternoon tea with my Dad - a sligthly delayed Christmas present outing. Despite always being very busy, the staff always... More

We visited the Wolsely for our wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. The venue is absolutely brilliant, being an early twentieth century showroom in a previous life. Unfortunately neither my wife nor I thought there was anything exceptional about the food. It wasn't horrrible or anything, but it was no better than (a very good) pub restaurant near my house... We had two amazing visits to The Wolseley for afternoon tea, or what we Yanks would call high tea. I had read a review on a gluten-free dining site that they offered a gluten free tea that was fantastic. And the staff and food did not disappoint! I think afternoon tea is more often associated with Claridge's and The Ritz,... More

Was taken for lunch as a friend had always wanted to visit and experience something special. Could not have been more disappointed, service was shocking but the visit was only improved by the food. It took a long time for our order to be taken and for patrons who came in after us to be served first. Drinks were slopped... More
