Having failed to book in to the Ritz or Claridges for afternoon tea in time for my fiancees birthday, The Wolseley Hotel on Piccadilly turned out to be a great selection. Firstly, it was half price of the RItz or Claridges at £23pp, though I fully accept the kick back is that it is not the Ritz or Claridges, but... More

The Wolseley is one of my favourite places for a posh meal. The surrounds are full of character, being an old car sales room. Booking ahead is essential, unless you want to eat 10pm. The staff are very attentive, polite and knowledgeable. It is always very busy, so it can be quite noisy, but for me that adds to the... More

The Wolseley The main attraction is the scene itself, almost a more New York City vibe than Mayfair. The service was efficient and reasonably paced, even when the place was packed on a Friday evening. We were placed on the main aisle, near the entrance, and so able to take in the vast room. I had a pleasant experience with... More

A nice choice for breakfast but it's very busy so don't expect to lounge beyond your allocated time. They could do with more staff as they were very stretched to manage. Iconic location so would recommend for breakfast.

Four of us dined here celebrating our daughters birthday. The ambiance service and food were excellent. We arrived a little early on a busy Friday evening, we enjoyed a pre dinner drink in the small bar. I had the Cornish crab as a starter followed by the rib eye steak, couldn't find any fault. Not the cheapest place by any... More

We were a party of three last night at the Wolseley The food is good and enjoyable but no better than any of the other London restaurants in this league. The staff were very very annoying They kept leaning across the table to pick up a glass, top up a glass, move a water bottle, fiddle with cutlery and were... More

Good value afternoon tea with excellent food. Service a bit slow but they were very busy. Not enthralled to find that babes in arms (and screaming their heads off in one case!) were fellow 'diners', but apart from that highly recommended.

We used the private room to hold a breakfast meeting for 8 people and it was perfect. We walked through the hustle and bustle to a quite room above the main one. The food was plentiful - delicious bacon rolls, smoked salmon bagels and pastries - and was very good value. They also kindly boxed up the many leftovers. The... More

Booked afternoon tea as part of my daughter's 21st birthday celebrations and it was such a great choice. The staff were so lovely: brought her a cake and a drinks for us on the house and wished her a happy birthday. The food was perfect. This restaurant is highly recommended. I've been to a few places in London for afternoon... More

Having eaten at The Wolseley before, and enjoyed the Lunch, our Daughter presented us as a Christmas present a prepaid voucher to have Dinner or Lunch at The Wolseley. The Dinner was excellent. I had the scollops for starters and the Venison Goulash for delicious. I recommend The Wolseley for Breakfast Lunch Dinner or afternoon Tea. The cost of the... More
