Artigiano shows just how glossy Italian high style can be, with its stylish chrome interior, high-concept lighting, rear glass ceiling, and glass front that opens like pairs of welcoming arms when the weather allows. Don't miss the 'Oscar' donated by a satisfied diner. Lunches are relaxed and calm, while dinners are buzzier. The confident, modern Italian menu's most popular dish is the spaghetti with fresh crab and rocket with a spicy crab sauce. Old favourites have got a delicious new twist, like carpaccio with homemade pesto dressing or calf's liver with wild mushrooms and fava beans. High style, great food. Please be aware, bookings for Saturday nights must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Very average and overpriced

Went for dinner with my husband on Saturday evening. Outdated 80s decor with dirty windows. Food very average and expensive for what it was. We are local and haven't visited for a few years, probably won't visit again - shame. Would expect better in such a lovely area of town

I have been to this popular up-market Italian restaurant three times in twenty years. I go back because I forget the disappointment I have had after that period of time, and it does look so good. It is a delightful space, in a delightful spot (Belsize Village) with a good ambience, plenty of helpful staff, a good wine list and... More

Our party of 8x were looking forward to a lovely Saturday night dinner at this popular Italian restaurant. It's actually quite smart, just the right level of lighting, presentable staff and then the meal.... Not so good. The manager got our order wrong so the asparagus was missing the duck egg. In fairness he quickly sorted this out, but added... More

I visited Artigiano twice before booking it for my birthday party. On both occasions the food was excellent. I had the sea bass and my wife took veal. Then yesterday we entertained forty guests to lunch, some of who can be very critical. Everyone afterwards, when they rang me , expressed delight at the quality of the meals served. The... More

Although not a bad restaurant at all, we found the waiters to invest their energy on frequent and regular customers, ignoring new faces. This includes the manager himself. However, the food was good. The restaurant was also quite noisy.

Even though the restaurant was busy being Valentine's night - the service was impeccable and the food as always excellent. The beetroot soup was to die for! Parking can be a little difficult at times, but well worth the effort. The staff were polite attentive and the whole evening was a delight.

We recently enjoyed out first evening meal here. The atmosphere was happy and vibrant and the service was good. We ate the antipasti and asparagus wrapped in ham with egg and hollandaise sauce. We shared a whole seabass as the mains and an uneventful sorbet after. The food was good, you could not fault it, but it really is just... More

Consistently good fish and pastas here. I regularly go for the whole sea bream, which is always good, and love the fried zucchinis to go with it.

Am new to the neighbourhood so was thrilled to have found a good local restaurant ,until the manager was called to sort out a question with the bill. We both ordered liver which was served with sweet potato mash. We asked for spinach instead of the mash, which seemed not to have been a problem. Both the liver and spinach... More

My version of events with this lady is a little different. There was a misunderstanding which I would have been happy to resolve even if in this instance the customer was not correct. However when threatened with the comment that a review to trip advisor was bandied about my attitude did regrettably change. I do not take kindly to this... More

I've been at Artigiano several times so far and every single time I tried something different to have a full overview of the menu. The location is very nice and the food is simply superb. As Italian I do mean it! My favuorite dished are fish dishes but yesterday I had to chance to taste veal... amazing! Several choices for... More
