Description: Artigiano shows just how glossy Italian high style can be, with its stylish chrome interior, high-concept lighting, rear glass ceiling, and glass front that opens like pairs of welcoming arms when the weather allows. Don't miss the 'Oscar' donated by a satisfied diner. Lunches are relaxed and calm, while dinners are buzzier. The confident, modern Italian menu's most popular dish is the spaghetti with fresh crab and rocket with a spicy crab sauce. Old favourites have got a delicious new twist, like carpaccio with homemade pesto dressing or calf's liver with wild mushrooms and fava beans. High style, great food. Please be aware, bookings for Saturday nights must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

June evening Service: Asked for refill of water . Waiter took bottle. Forgot to return it to table. Had to remind him. On table, small candle- unlit. We had to ask him to light it! After asking for bill, we received another diner's bill, including items we had not ordered or eaten, Food was ok, nothing very special. Decor very... More

A dispiriting experience. My massively pregnant wife wasn't offered any water until we'd been sat for nearly ten minutes. We were struggling to get anyone's attention so we could order for far, far too long - nobody came to check on us. The glass of wine I ordered didn't arrive until I was three quarters of the way through my... More

We grew up in an Italian neighborhood in New York, so we are difficult to please when it comes to Italian food. Artigiano was well worth our visit. The food was excellent and prepared well, especially the pasta. Beet root salad was very nice; calamari and artichokes the right way -- not too heavy. Lovely ravioloni. Branzino was lovely although... More

The good bit, it was really buzzy and festive with live jazz. The bad bit, or should I say bits, staff totally disinterested in making us feel special, the food very mediocre, Mayfair prices in Belsize Park. Overall very disappointing.

Once again I must put pen to paper,,Why is it that we can please nearly all our customers with the quality of our service and food and then we get a review such as above. Sometimes I think it can only be the mood of the client that affects their experience. I note that the client in question has mentioned... More

...or even a Sunday brunch! The chef knows his work at l'"Artigiano", being able to re-invent even some very classics of Italian cuisine with a touch of innovation. Not recommended for large groups; go there with your fiancee' and she will appreaciate. You will apreciate less the bill; definitely a bit more that expected, but I wuld finally recommend to... More

It is hard to park here, but is worth a visit. We have been here several times, and the risotto has been consistently good, as has the fish, which is always well cooked and very tasty. Deep fried courgettes/zucchini are particularly delicious. Service is usually pretty good, but the tiled floors can make it rather noisy.

I need to preface this review by saying I had 3 Italian meals in the course of 2 weeks, and had Veal Milanese at each of them . Cecconi's was amazing - breaded Veal chop on a bone- excellent. Gattis ( in EC2 ) was traditional, old school flattened filet of vealm breaded, and perfectly cooked - but Artigiano? A... More

Whilst I will aways hope to improve our food and service based on customer reviews. However if they are going to make comparisons they should compare like for like. Mr WaynO is obviously a man about town who can afford to eat in the most exspensive establisments, but I have to take issue with his opinion re our Milanese which... More

Had dinner many times at Artigiano. The venue was really busy this time. The buzz and professional looking overall effect concealed a rather disappointing experience Quite a lot of smoozing of the regulars going on, rather than focusing on keeping all guests equally happy. Service was slow and my side salad never arrived - having said that, my main course... More

Looking for somewhere nice to eat whilst staying in the area we found this restaurant. We were lucky to be offered a table as the restaurant filled up quickly. We were not disappointed with any aspect of this fine restaurant. From the Decor to the quality of the food to the politeness of the staff...all get full marks from us.... More
