Captures the flavors of the south

Joe's kitchen provides an adequate representation of southern cooking. My prison plate consisted of BBQ pulled pork, BBQ butter beans, cole slaw, flat bread, and rice. The beans and the BBQ pork were very good tasting. Certainly not the best I've had but absolutely not the worst either. However... read more

After endlessly searching for a place to have a quick bite, we stumbled on Joe's. My first reaction was this is not going to be that great but hey, we are in a rush. I was very surprised to see the great food coming out the kitchen, we ordered 3 of each of the side dishes and starters and trust... More

The portions are small, the prices are big for what comes out on the plates. London is not a culinary Mecca so they are doing well against that standard. Bad news: no draught beer you would... More

I recently visited here with a group of friends. I was warmly welcomed and felt the customer service overall was really good. There are a great choice of cocktails and the food is great, although the menu wasn't that big. They do some great deals, so i would recommend checking out their website, as they have drink and food offers... More

We stumbled across this place as we were passing and thought that we would give it a go. We were eating early so it was not too crowded yet. The waitress was good but we could not always hear her or she hear us because the music was too loud. We did ask them to turn it down and they... More

Really good atmosphere and friendly service. The menu is really good, it was so hard to choose! We shared the cajun shrimp which had an amazing sauce. I had the fired chicken burger which was amazing and my Dad had the slow roasted short rib which was so so nice- it was massive though! Would definitely recommend it here and... More

Despite the close proximity to other tables and slightly too-dim lighting, the atmosphere in Joe's was enjoyable and relaxed. Service was quick and polite and food came out in no time. Would highly recommend the Mac n cheese as it is really outstanding. Boyfriend had the prison plate which was also very tasty. Reasonably priced and top location - will... More

Nice looking place and staff were friendly - Lots of choice of drinks behind the bar although the happy hour menu was very limited (5 choices) The food was brought out a few minutes after ordering - a little worrying when you consider its supposed to be freshly cooked and how long can it take to freshly prepare fried chicken?...
