The Montagu has an amazing Chef's Table it seats around 6 guests and is completely private and so close to the many talented men and woman preparing all the tasty entree's on the menu, (it is like watching a ballet with their each movement.) You will smell, as well as feel the heat. I had the Dorado, and let me... More

Went to the Montague for lunch with a friend. I have been here a few times before on business and believe it is one of the few restaurants in the UK where they actually know how to bake bread. Proper nice crusty bread with salted butter. Delicious! I could come back here just for the bread. With a Top Table... More

High tea was wonderful. Just the right touch after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast buffet was included each day. A beautiful assortment of foods to satisfy any palate.

We booked via Bookatable for a three course dinner with two glasses of wine, for four people. The restaurant was very inviting and comfortable. The food was excellent. A good choice of starters and main courses finished off with an excellent dessert! Portions were generous. The white wine was a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc which was very drinkable but not great.... Lovely champagne brunch. Went with friends one Sunday in June. The staff are very good at keeping your glass topped up with champagne. The food is good but its not an extensive buffet. The food on offer was pleasant but nothing special. After vat and 12.5% service charge the cost was £68 per person. We felt the overall experience was... More

Since I was staying at the Churchill's for a few days, I visited several times the Montagu, every day for the breakfast and one evening to have dinner. Breakfast: Full buffet breakfast, eggs (scrambled and à la carte), fresh Orange juice, ... Nothing is missing. And (good) espresso café is available. Excellent! Dinner: I went for their menu (two courses... More

This proved a very agreeable place to meet a female friend and catch up. The service was efficient and discreet. The food was good (nicely cooked fish) and very good value - we took advantage of a 'special offer'. We also appreciated a talented pianist who sang a bit and added to the pleasant ambiance.

Recently visited The Montagu for a hen weekend afternoon tea. We booked the reservation through afternoontea.co.uk, as there was an offer. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown straight to our tables. The atmosphere within the restaurant was lovely, just a calm chatter combined with the beautiful piano playing in the background. The restaurant is exquisite, very well decorated... More

A very pleasant bank holiday and b'thday lunch. The waiters are charming and helpful, we never had to ask ,our glasses were refilled without asking, the food was delicious. We had a thoroughly nice time celebrating a 70th .

I don't normally eat in hotel restaurants where the bar charges £11.25 (including service charge) for two cups of tea but I'm so glad I did! We had an excellent dinner of 3 courses, with two glasses of wine per person, for £25 per head. The set menu had a range of choice that made it a difficult, if pleasant,... More
