Montagu - shines again after short closure

We dined midweek on a special offer - 2 courses plus 1/2 bottle wine for £23 each. We both had pork terrine for starters and these were very tasty. We followed this with the pork belly which was also full of flavour and delicious. The wine (a white Rioja) was also rich and fruity but not too... read more

We celebrated a birthday there and we had a wonderful and perfect experience!!! The pianist even played the happy birthday song when the staff came with the dessert. The whole meal was very good and the room is perfect to have a conversation with your guests.

Very cozy boutique hotel with a small but varied menu. Staff attentive and food good. Dining area is a bit disjointed which detracts from the atmosphere. Probably a place where you could eat well if staying in the hotel, but non resident guests are made to feel equally welcome.

Went to the Montagu to celebrate a family birthday. From the moment we entered the hotel and were met by the Concierge,Jim (sorry can't remember your surname), we were looked after extreamly well. We were very much treated like a valued guest and not just like another punter, even though it was our first visit. The whole table agreed that the... More

If you're looking for somewhere for afternoon tea I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Montagu. We went as a large group for the Sex and the City tea - it was lovely. A good variety of food, different to a typical afternoon tea- topped up till we could eat no more. The dessert jelly was delicious- we would all have... More

Have dined here a couple of times and cant fault the food, atmosphere or service. Far surpasses usual hotel restaurants and is a great dinner venue in its own right and is on a par with many of the top London restaurants. We really enjoyed the scallops and the sea bass which was accompanied by a great wine and cocktails... More

My wife is a vegan and I am not so finding a restaurant were we could both find something to eat is usually a problem. Not so now we booked our meal here as part of our anniversary celebration. The second time we've been and absolutely stunning every time. Use to frequent the Churchill a lot when I was young, and returning was fab. Lobby full of amazing Saatchi Art, which fills the place with a modern ambiance, even though the hotel is even older than me. At the brunch on Sunday's there is an amazing duet playing music,... Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
