What a fantastic place! We were looking for a Sunday Roast dinner in Battersea and we couldn't find better destination. You walk in to the Butchers shop and at the back you find the restaurant. The service was very friendly and professional. We didn't have a reservation and we were lucky to wait for our table only ten minutes by... More

We went for lunch as a break in a long walk from Putney Bridge to Westminster. The frontage and immediate interior looked very appetizing so we grabbed a cafe table (as opposed to a restaurant table at the upper rear). I had the salt beef sandwich and my wife had a chicken breast with greek salad. The cafe servers were... More

I've been a regular customer at Butcher and Grill for over a year now, as I work nearby and it is one of a limited selection of lunch options in the area. As usual, I went for the Chicken box, one of the few good value options on an admittedly tasty, yet overpriced, menu. Whilst eating my chicken breast with... More

Went in the Butcher and Grill for breakfast last week. I ordered Americano coffee with a side jug of cold milk. It wasn't until I had poured some of the milk in I noticed it was full of brown floating 'things'. The waiter was going to replace the milk but not my coffee, however he did so on being asked.... I have been here twice now and each time the food and service has been excellent. The Chateaubriand is amazing! Also impressive was the Halloumi and Pomegranate starter salad. Our servers were extremely helpful when we asked for a wine recommendation. The gin cocktail is also a lovely little treat to end the meal with. Happy to have this as... More

Butcher & Grill is very near to us in London. It's a deep and cavernous space on two levels, the top one overlooking silted-up Ransome's Dock, off the Thames between Battersea and Albert Bridges. Dark wooden floors, white walls, themed art (meat, dead and alive), and a mixture of banquette seating and chairs beyond the butcher's shop and deli-grocery through... More

My friends and I live in the neighbourhood and frequent the Butcher and Grill a lot. Last Sunday we turned up there at 12.40pm and were told categorically and without any consideration that we could not be seated. There were 6 of us so one of the group appealed to the waiter and suggested we could sit outside until a... More

We had lunch on Saturday after being rejected at the very popular Prince Albert Pub. We were directed to Butcher & Grill and were not deceived. The cod and duck were both great and service was very pleasant. The shop is together with the restaurant tables so it is a very cosy and informal atmosphere. They serve kids' menus and... More
