I have been to Racine twice now and I really like this place. I love the informal, French brassiere style atmosphere and menu. Last time my friends and I chose to sample a selection of starters between the three of us and just choosing them was the hardest thing to do, the food is just very good and the fact... More

Menu is very traditional and so is the service. Everyone who worked there appeared to be French and though polite, were incredibly formal. I had the duck confit which was too salty and not crispy enough. My mother had the sea bream which she enjoyed. My aunt found the lamb to be too salty too. The creme caramel had too... More

Had a most enjoyable dinner at this restaurant. Was like being back in Paris. Very French. Our duck confit was great, but the best was the riz du lait dessert. Sublime! The wine prices were reasonable for London. We had a carafe of the house wine, which was pleasant. Exceptional service. The best food we had in London, including our... More

After a recent regular visit to Racine, I am happy to report it is unchanged. This is a place to go for the food so it is right that neither the service nor the ambiance intrude. Service is attentive - but not intrusively friendly. The decor remains completely in the background as it should. For starters, we had crab Florentine... More

We have been going to Racine for several years now and are never disappointed. It is old school French, you feel as if you are in Paris when inside. I had soupe de poisson which was delicious and my other half had the crab florentine, which I tried and was really very good. For main course I had skate with... More

Heavy curtains lead you into this dark roomed restaurant. The setting and service is top rate French Lovely bread and butter immediately on the table The food is excellent - I had a salad of tomatoes and olives with anchovies in a tangy dressing - lots of different textures and flavours - sweet tomatoes, sour olives and salty anchovies -... It's placed on a busy road and the interior is nothing special but the food speaks for itself. We went for a four course meal and every par of the meal was special. There is plenty of food and I could have taken only 3. Service was also top class, very attentive, quick and friendly. For sure worth to visit.

The Racine Restaurant is easy reachable from South Kensington tube station. Nice area. The place itself is very dark and extremely abrupt : no music no ambiance just tables and a clinical regimental service. Service is very very French : polite but very distant : very Parisian : please guys put a smile on your face, be happy (maybe that... More

This is not the 1st nor will be our last time in Racine. We love it and never dissapoint us. My husband and I went for lunch and had a lovely time. We had Crab Florentine and Foie Gras as starters, and both were lovely. For mains we had Cod with Mussels and Saffron Sauce, it was perfect. Vanilla Ice... More

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants. However my last visit left me disappointed. The room is looking a little dated and in need of TLC. It took us an age to order a drink and even longer to order dinner. The food was OK but no more. Service, when it arrived, was first class. I felt it... More
