My wife and I have wanted to go here for years. Love him or hate him this was one of the only restaurants I ever remember Michael Winner praising. The other was Harry's in Venice. The Brompton Road is more convenient when you in SW London. It's a little bit away from the tourist chaos up near Harrods - which... More

A Friday night visit to the V&A made this dinner at this old favourite a convenient choice. I hadn't been for years and wondered if it would be as good as I remembered it. It was. Light salads to start with carefully dressed and well presented. A piece of grilled rabbit was served with the traditional mustard sauce and bright... More

In all the years Tony and I have been customers at this restaurant we've never had the grouse and I was determined that I at least would remedy this deficiency. So... More

lovely restaurant tucked neatly away on the Brompton Road, a little pricey but well worth it. It's cosy without feeling like your neighbouring table are able to listen to your conversations.

Did an Amazon offer for this restaurant and went with a friend. Delicious orange brandy and champagne cocktail. We had tranche of plaice and veal kidney's for mains. The veal kidney's had not been degorged which made them unnecessarily chewy but they tasted good. We were given an extra cocktail as compensation which cannot be bad! Both enjoyed the prune... More

Had two meals at this busy restaurant 5 days apart on recent trip to London. The ambience is very good-smaller room. Staff are warm and attentive. Food on both occasions was excellent. Great location on Brompton Road

I went here on a business dinner with a group of colleagues. My starter of goat cheewese salad was unremarkable. Because it was a business dinner, my colleagues did not comment on their food. I ordered the spring lamb. It was a large portion, 5 slices, but so tough and filled with gristle that no matter how small I cut... More

A friend gave us lunch at Racine today in celebration of an anniversary. My husband and I cannot wait for an opportunity to return. It is the sort of restaurant you can find in France where the staff quite expect you to have a leisurely meal in an atmosphere where you can have a proper conversation, leaving your cares behind... Been here 10 yrs ago and happy to find the food is just as good. Rich and delicious ballotine of fois for starter and calf brains for mains. Perfect creme caramel for dessert. Lovely surroundings and top service.
