When you are next in London and take a trip to Harrods, walk further along the road to this delightful French restaurant. We arrived without having booked and looking rather bedraggled from the horrible rain...we were not exactly dressed for a wonderful meal out but that is what we had. The staff were impeccable and very helpful, the ambience was... More

We eat here with old friends on a semi-regular basis and I can't think of anywhere better to do it. The food is reliably good - French but not fusty, well cooked and beautifully presented; the service is excellent - unobtrusive and unhurried but professional; the atmosphere is conducive to lingering, laughing and chatting. The bill at the end isn't... More

This restaurant has been consistently good since it opened. The service is attentive and unobtrusive, and the dishes are superb. The choice is imaginative and the food beautifully cooked and presented. The wine largely French wine list is interesting. The atmosphere is buzzy and intimate.

Attentive waiters and a good value lunchtime menu transformed our wet, Monday lunchtime. We all enjoyed the three-course set lunch menu - all beautifully presented and the main course fish was cooked to perfection.

The food in this well established restaurant is extremely good. The staff are extremely efficient. We were unavoidably late for our booked table on a Saturday night, but they greeted us warmly and got on with the job. My only criticism is the tables are uncomfortably close together, which is a shame as it colours my memory of the evening.... More

After visiting this restaurant over many years it is solid french cooking of the highest quality. No fancy gimmicks. The service and food as good as ever. Tables are close but that is London, price is right. Probably more suitable for mens taste. Well done to the staff as catering is hard work.

This is probably my fifth visit to Racine, but the first for a couple of years. The food remains authentic, well done French bistro, the service is fine and the room warm and welcoming. But OMG the wine list! This used to be comprehensive and good value, but now it's just plain greedy and the margins are quite rapacious. A... More

Tried the set 4 course menu - can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food is sublime as is the service. One of the best meals I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Good value and a thorughly great experience.

I took my daughter to Racine for dinner so we could catch up with each other. Racine was a busy, noisy French restaurant, on Tuesday evening, so this looked like a good sign. The tables are rather close together. We were seated at a table for 2, but the next table was precisely next to ours – no space. So... More

Racine is well placed in terms of convenience to visitors to the Kensington and Knightsbridge areas of town. We found the service excellent and we did enjoy the atmosphere. However, I have to agree with other reviewers, chef adds far too much salt. I had the leek, duck egg and snail starter but the over salting of the braised leeks... More
