We try to get here every time we are in London. Best steak frites anywhere. Wine list for everybody. French classics right in Knightsbridge.

I have recently had a wonderful lunch at Racine with a friend , it was everything you would want attentive service from the moment you arrive , to gorgeous tasty food . We had the daily special menu which was fabulous and reasonable price especially as you knew the ingredients of the dishes were of high standard. I will be...

Service and atmosphere here is lovely but the food is old fashioned French and really quite rich. Sauces are creamy even on what looks like a simple dish. Good wine list at decent prices for London.
The menu is inspired by the French tradition and contains some offal. I love kidneys and found them here excellently prepared with mashed potatoes. Their plates of mixed salumi were also excellent while my son ate fish and loved it. The food and wine list are both first class. The service was slow, although we were not in a hurry,...

Enjoyable venue with a good atmosphere. We were not in a rush so the power cut wasn't a problem. In any event our main course was last out of the kitchen and the staff were helpful about it. We had the set menu which was ok but, in my case not fantastic.
Very nice fine-dining bistro. Liked the food: the starters and desserts were excellent. The wine was good. Service was a bit slow compared to other local restaurants we've been to; translated to a leisurely Saturday lunch for us. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others. Noted as a bonus very decently priced fixed menus.
Returned to Racine with a good friend to sample the a la carte menu. Tete de veau was astonishingly good, better than the rilles de veau I'd had in L'Huitriere in Lille, which is very high praise. The dessert combined rhubarb, ginger, honeycomb, pistachio and creme anglaise in a sumptuous whole that trumped any pudding we'd ever had. It was...

I had first heard about Racine from a pastry chef who had worked there in the past and had told me that this was one of the rare restaurants where they still made their own puff pastry. So we looked it up and it looked good on the website.
I had previously enquired about booking there on Valentine's Day but...

This is a smart little restaurant just a few minutes walk along the road from Harrods and in an affluent area that demands superior fare and impeccable service. We had fish soup, fois gras, scallops (as a main) and the lamb. They were all extremely nice. However I'd expect that from an establishment of this quality and there was nothing...

I had a quick early supper with my son this week. Having been about 6 times since it opened, but not recently, i was keen to see how it was performing. That evening the staff seemed very flustered and rushed, and rather unprofessional unlike in the early days, when they were seriously good. The food was quite good, but messy presentation let...
