At London Bridge, hungry with time on my hands decided to walk to Mala. This would be my forth visit. Arrived in the stylish surroundings to a polite welcome. The place is spotless and waiters attentive. On each visit I have tried different dishes, This time Chicken Curry, Tandoori Chicken, Paneer, wrapped Prawns, Nan and Chutneys all presented with flair.... More

The food was superb, even though expensive. My husband reckoned the desert was one of the best he has ever tasted.

My company is located nearby, in St Katherine's Dock. I've been coming here for many years. I have found the food to be consistently very good and the staff very accommodating. I have started to use for client entertainment and also holding corporate events on a regular basis. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Had been here before with colleagues, this time with my better half. The service is as I remembered it it: extremely friendly and warm. There was some construction/maintenance going on right next to our table which was a little distracting - not really acceptable in a restaurant during evening dinner but I let it go. My wife had the veggie... More

Went to Mala today for lunch to celebrate my fiancee's birthday. The food was undeniably of a very good standard. However, what stopped me giving a higher rating was our waiter by the name of Faruk. We ordered a dhal makhni, which is traditionally and normally eaten in a bowl. As my fiancée and I were sharing this dish, I... More

Lovely location not far from our hotel. The lights kept dimming which was bit strange and made it difficult to read the menu! Service was good apart from a mix up with the starter. One of our party wanted the set menu which wasn't a problem as we didn't all want it, this wouldn't be an option for one in... More

We called in without booking and enjoyed the meals that were ordered. Nothing special but ok. Their was a DJ playing a variety of Bollywood/Western music which was very good. The dance floor was a decent size and most people were enjoying the atmosphere. Staff were attentive without being too pushy. The only downsides were the price of drinks, £7-00... More

The hotel staff recommended the Mala and we got what we were looking for. We discussed with the waiter the definition of Mala spicy level and we agreed on a 3 of 5 level. The suggested chicken Curry and lamb was perfect for us. The last time I had such a good Indian food was at a dinner with my... More

Considering the number of good Indian restaurants, Mala in terms of food is pretty average. On a sunny day, it offers a great location to go to as you can tuck in a decent lunch and spend some time loitering around St. Katharine's docks where Mala is located. In terms of the service, the place was a shambles as dishes... More

The restuarant is in a very picturess part of london (St Catherines docks), beautiful especially at this time of the year. The staff are very accomadating and helpful when picking from the menu.
