Description: Moti Mahal is the chic London outpost of the celebrated Delhi restaurant which opened in 1959. 'An unexpected delight' (Hardens Guide), Inspired by the culinary roots of India, particularly along the famed Grand Trunk Road, Chef Anirudh Arora brings you time-honoured dishes and recipes. By accentuating new tastes and flavours from India's richly woven history, the new menu at Moti Mahal is a feast for the senses. A perfect setting, with curved glass-fronted kitchen and gleaming copper bar, and attentive service will transform your meal in a memorable experience, and Moti Mahal is also 'perfect before a show' (Zagat).

Not your usual run-of-the-mill curry house. Recommend the chilli beef dish, very tasty and good quality meat. Good drinks selection. A little pricey though.

Dear Guest Many thanks for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed our signature "CHILLI FRY" dish. As you mention, we alway use fresh, local, seasonal and organic product for our all dishes and hence it is bit pricey. Following your note on drinks, indeed we have hugh selection of cocktails, beers, whiskey and of course appealing wine list. Once... More

We love this restaurant and have eaten there at least 6 times. The spicy salad plate to,start with is always lovely. Going for the set menu for £23 plus cocktail is good value. We could have eaten every dish on the menu!

This is a long established Indian restaurant tucked away in a side street near Sth Kensington tube. Basic decor with very attentive staff - usual north Indian offerings are there - delicious and fresh, at a very reasonable price for London. Small, but very well priced wine list - nothing extravagant

Uncle Bens vegetable rice, Supermarket seasoned tandoori and a seasoned salad would be far more tastier than this awful food at this exorbitantly priced restaurant. Our total takeaway bill came to £60.00 for 3 prawns, 3 small pieces of lambs chops, 1pilau rice which had a stale taste, cauliflower and 2 chapattis. Service was off the mark. The menu was... More

What a wonderful meal. Two of us tried two appetizers, three main dishes and a dessert and it was fabulous. The cheese naan is to die for! Gin drink concoctions were wonderful and there was an abundance of servers attending to us. While more expensive than dishoom (fantastic cheap indian nearby), this is a nice restaurant for a memorable meal.... More

If you wish to eat tiny portions of flavourless food and pay extortionate prices in a place with no ambience or warmth – this is the place for you. Went 2 days ago – Strongly advise you avoid at all costs -Massively overpriced e.g. £13 for three tablespoons of unflavoured saag -Very small and inadequate portions for adults. -Food unseasoned,... You have to try the cocktails here - they're amazing even if they are somewhat mad about adding a slice of cucumber to every glass. The food is all about sharing which is fantastic because I wanted to try almost everything (I recommend the scallops to start and the lamb for main. Vegetarians really aren't that welcome here..) The service... More

I have always loved MM. I have come here for special meals (and others) over the years so you can imagine my disappointment when I was herded by a sullen faced woman (a first also, normally there is such a warm welcome) to the room downstairs (never been there before and there was no warning even though I had booked... With a menu which demonstrates the wonderful variety of food found in India, Moti Mahal is a must visit foodie experience. From poppadoms accompanied by a wild boar chutney to perfectly spice poussin, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Even the post-meal hand towels are a fun bit of theatre which only adds to the wonderful experience at Moti... More

This is not your average Indian restaurant in any way. As soon as you walk through the door you know you're in for something a bit different. The service is fist class, friendly and attentive with helpful explanations of the menu and dishes. The food is outstanding - fresh, brilliantly well cooked, excitingly presented and really tasty. OK, so it... More
