The tasting menu at Modi Mahal will take you on dynamic trip around the sub continent. It is pricey but a lot less than a ticket to the places which are the basis of their small gaatronic treats. It is well worth the trip to Great Queen Street. The atmosphere is light and airy and generally upscale but not stuffy.... More

Visiting with my partner. Food and service outstanding in every respect. No reservation, but they squeezed us in at the beginning of what was a very busy evening. Vegetable pakora and lambs brain starters were exquisite, and the goat meatballs and lamb mains were fabulous as well. What stood out most though was the service - impeccable in every way,... More

I think of pre-theatre supper as a quick, efficient bite just to get me through the performance, but not so heavy as to put me asleep. We arrived at Moti Mahal at 6 PM and left at 7:10. In between was a delight. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a table for three right in front of the kitchen... More

Seems like every time I'm in London my team wants to go to Moti Mahal for our team dinner! But I don't mind! Great, light, modern Indian food. I usually select for the table and judging from the happy sounds while they ate, I did well! Happy evenings at Moti Mahal, and I need to say that their Naan is... More

My family and I have been there few days ago. The food is excellent, the staff kind and professional, the atmosphere warm. One of the best indian restaurants I have ever tried, and we loved the extra spicy chicken we had. I'll be back as soon as possible!

This place is expensive. But the menu is highly innovative. This is not your typical curry place. The dining room is relatively quiet and very elegant and the service is excellent. Make sure you try the Sagar Rattan seared scallop - malabar. seared scallop with sesame seeds, coriander and tamarind, served on top of crushed lime and cumin peas. Also... More

I make a habit of going to Moti Mahal once or twice a year, whenever in London. It is consistently a great place to go to with friends or business associates. Very enjoyable meal for sons birthday. Great decor and ambiance - even at 5:30 (on Good Friday) restaurant filled up - it is good for a three course pre theatre meal which we had.
