This is one of my favourite places to visit for great food. It has been around for ages and just keeps getting better. The food is delicious, the service is polite and helpful and the prices are competitive. I particularly love the Adulis special, the mixed vegetarian dishes and the grilled lamb in onion and garlic but to be fair,... More

I had no idea what to expect when we went there, other than eritrean food. First of all, I discovered "Mies", an eritrean honey mead, which blew my mind. I would highly recommend the dry "Mies" as a drink. The food is served in the traditional fashion, and you eat it using your hands and "injera", which is an eritrean... More

So far the best erithrean food i have had. My only recommendation: Just go! Don't think, don't wait, just go!

If you've never tasted Eritrean cuisine, you must! and this is a good place to start. Take a sharing platter.. the vegetarian platter is amazing, and can easily be made vegan on request. It all comes served on injera, a type of bread, and you use your hands to serve yourself. It's a totally different dining experience, in a really... More

Went here with work colleagues to introduce them to this particular East African cuisine (myself being an Eritrean) and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We will come back soon.

a great introduction to a cuisine new to all but one of us. We had the sharing plate as well as a selection of starters followed by puddings and Eritrean tea. I was able to have rice as the injera wasn't gluten free.

Love the food! Always have the vegetarian platter and it never disappoints. I go to both the Oval and Clapham Junction restaurants regularly and can't get enough! The atmosphere is great too, the place is buzzing on a weekend (Oval, can't comment on CJ as have never been on a Fri or Sat), so make sure you reserve a table.... More

It was an interesting eating experience, and there's something about the family-style sharing that I like. The food was generally pretty tasty, but I wouldn't say it excelled particularly. It was slightly over-priced in my opinion, but not outrageously so. Service was a little slow (although there was a large group of us) but very friendly. There was a nice... More

I can’t comment on the meat dishes, but the vegetarian sharing platter is absolutely divine. The dry honey wine goes down pretty well too.

I had high hopes for this place. We ordered the large meat platter. It came with a sort of fermented pancake wrap from which you had to eat using your hands. I really didn't enjoy my food here and it was very much on the expensive side!
