Staff greeted us at the entrance and service was good throughout the night. The food was well prepared with fresh ingredients. The lobster ravioli was very pleasant but the sauce was too oily. The steak was perfectly cooked but the portion was absolutely massive which perhaps is not very elegant. The halibut was good but a bit bland and slightly... More

I went to this restaurant based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews and the extremely high rating. We went on a weeknight and arrived at 7:15 PM and we were the first patrons there!. What we noticed immediately was that there was no one else in restaurant! This was extremely exciting considering it was 7 PM. And throughout our meal, only... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your meal with us. The Sea Bass we serve is Wild Sea Bass caught off the coast of Broadstairs in Kent and we pick it up freshly caught from the fishermen- it certainly is a "true" Sea Bass. Chilean Sea Bass is in fact a type of Cod, also known as Patagonian... More

We had a lovely dinner recently. Escorgot and fois gras to start were lovely. The servie is attentive and wine list extensive. We had fish and lamb for mains which were tasty, the sauces were a tad rich but maybe that's me. The place is romantic, busy and one to come back to.

As others have noted, the greetings and service are warmly friendly, and we felt very welcomed from the time of our arrival. My big birthday booking was marked by glasses of prosecco with a wild strawberry liqueur added to give a tinge of sweetness and celebratory appearance--delicious! The chef is not only talented but very generous (although someone else must... More

Last night in London, we headed here based on proximity to our hotel and reviews here. It was a fantastic dinner, delicious food prepared and presented with such high standards of service and quality. We were blown away. We will definitely be back to Whits Restaurant on our next trip across the pond. Highly recommend visiting if you have the... More

I booked the Whit because it had the most favourable TripAdvisor comments for restaurants in the Kensington/Chelsea area where I was staying. I was greeted warmly on arrival, even though I arrived quite early for my booking. The service was attentive, friendly, and understated. Although the place is quite small and in a quiet part of Abington Road, the atmosphere... More

I'm mostly just going to echo what everyone else has said to this point. The food is great, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. I don't have a single complaint about the entire experience and it is no surprise that this place is ranked so highly...it absolutely deserves. It is even in a nice out of the... More

We went to Whits on our first night in London. What a good way to get a vacation started off right, with a great memory. The proprietress greeted us at the door, and was very welcoming and hospitable. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. I had duck, my husband had coq au vin and the food was delicious.... Booked a table for a double birthday on a Friday night and was not disappointed. It is a small place relatively and is divided into two areas - upper and lower area - by a couple steps up. The lower area is closer to the entrance and bar area with a long mirror and lights along one wall, perfect for... More

This was a very memorable meal. The room is small and pleasant but nothing fancy. Service is competent and friendly. The menu looks interesting -- but the dishes that arrive at the table are fantastic. Appetizers are fresh, imaginative and exploding with flavor. Mains are excellent: pasta and fish were both great. Desserts are absolutely outstanding: each plate is beautifully... More
