Booked a table in advance after reading the reviews :) There was four of us and we arrived a half an hour early, but we got our table right away :) The service is fantastic, we felt us at home and really well taken care of. The food was excellent with a lot of flavours. Will definitely return :)

Dined on a weeknight for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked with 2 relatively large parties and a few smaller tables, but the atmosphere was convivial and one never felt that the large parties dominated what is in fact a small restaurant space. The food choices were excellent. I partook of the excellent value set dinner, whilst my partner went... More

The very charming staff and proprietors. Very good menu with excellent choice. Beautifully presented food, and excellent wine. Very good location, just off Kensington High Street.

First night in London we picked Whit's based on Tripadvisor ratings. Tucked away spot in Kensington we were able to get a table. My wife had the oriental style marinated salmon and crab and it was a melt in your mouth delight. I had the crisp confit of duck and roast breast with braised red cabbage. Everything was fabulous and... More

I believe chef Steve & wife Eva met when they were running Anton Mosimann's restaurant for him! Thank God they've now got their own place and are doling out the kind of food that we should all be grateful for. Superb ingredients cooked to perfection, sublime desserts and utterly charming, unobtrusive service with grace and serious expertise! Portions that don't... More

I live nearby, hence visit Whits quite often. I must say this is probably the best restaurant in London in terms of food/price ratio. Quality is pretty high as well, but go in prepared to eat quite a lot. Especially if compared to current high end restaurants' standards. Try the Lobster ravioli. The lady who owns the place is a... My partner took 2 of my best friends and myself for a special treat to celebrate a very special birthday, mainly because he thought it was meant to be a French restaurant and had lobster on the menu. All these came with a little disapointment as there was no French person as a member of the staff. The Lobster was... More

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit to us but we are baffled -we do not “purport” anywhere either to be staffed by French people or to be French ourselves! Our website makes it quite obvious we are not French, the menu is not written in French and Whits is not a French name. Our French... More

Starter Soused herring my favourite, but why the anchovies and why the olive oil drizzle and balsamic...and then there was also an apple purée, and beetroot sauce. Oh yes and the horseradish potatoes, not to mention a mousseline of something and ah yes. Individually all the items were splendid but the result was a flavour assault course that did not... More

I would certainly recommend Whits to anyone. We had a very warm welcome from the staff from the start and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. It wasn't too big and had perfect lighting. The food is excellent, I had Lobster ravioli to start which was fantastic. The service was quick, and I was shocked by the price at the... More
