We've been living in Kensington for the past 8 years. Our whole family enjoys the food and the hospitality at Whits. Eva always makes us feel at home. We are really sad to see you move! Kensington will lose a star. Your service is always stellar and we know you and Steve work very hard each day to make your... More

We hadn't seen each other for a while and decided to meet up at Whit's. Informal and comfortable, we ate at our own pace without being rushed in any way. The food was a triumph. All four of us were singing its praises. The goats cheese salad was exceptional and the spring lamb was outstanding, zinging with flavour. The raspberry... More

Wow what a super dinner, food was superb & service so friendly with just the right amount of attention. Four of us dined there & were truly delighted at the standard of food , taste, textures & very attractive presentation. All courses were A1 & should be Michelin 1 star but sadly for all us locals Steve & Eva are... More

We had a family dinner at Whits last night which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Age range from 54 down to 19! Eva as always was delightful. The restaurant was buzzing and had a lovely warm atmosphere. We chose the fixed menu which was absolutely delicious especially the raspberry soufflé which was beyond magnificent. Thanks Eva and Steve for another... More

The location of this restaurant is excellent - off the main road so away from the noise, but close enough to the tube station for it to be a very short walk. The food & wine here is superb - my wife and I had real difficulty selecting which starters and main courses to choose from the excellent menu. (We... More

We went to Whits during a recent trip to London based on the recommendation on trip advisor and whilst we did enjoy it I must admit it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed and Eva was delightful however the other waitress was not as friendly. The fixed menu is excellent value but there... More

I chose Whits to celebrate my partners 30th birthday and couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. From the moment I made the reservation, Eva went out of her way to assist me-no request was too much, and all the staff went out of their way to make the evening very special. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and hope to... More

Booked this restaurant on previous reviews and were not disappointed. Good food, excellent service and very good value. Very friendly atmosphere. Certainly worth a visit 10 - 15 min walk from Crowell Road.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
