Went to this restaurant for celebrations. Food and Wine was lovely. Presentation was good. Would recommend lobster ravioili, and the chocolate fondant was amazing. In particular we like the portion size, because other gourmet restaurants can serve their food on the small side. Good value for money as well. Nice service and nice intimate location. Easy to find as well,... More

I had booked the restaurant for my anniversary, and I must say I was so happy and so too was my boyfriend! Our hostess, who I believe was named Eva, was highly attentive from the moment we walked in, even knowing my name before being promted which I thought was a lovely personal touch! We had to wait about 10... More

I booked this restaurant because of it's proximity to the hotel where my visiting friend was staying. Despite this, she and her travelling companion still got lost! So with a 45 minute wait on my own, I was immediately put at ease by the gracious Eva and her two staff. I kept myself busy with some lovely bread and the... More

I booked a meal here on the strength of the trip advisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. My boyfriend and I made the trip over from Clapham Junction for our anniversary. We ate quite early (7pm) because we were off on holiday the next day very early. The restaurant was quiet, with only 2 other tables occupied when we arrived,... More

We ate here as a last minute booking. The food was good, it was all tasty and well presented with some excellent individual elements. Portions are quite sizeable, so check before ordering anything extra, you may not need any sides! The restaurant was quite quiet when we dined but we were seated next to other occupied tables, which I felt... More

I visited based on the rave reviews and high ranking on Tripadvisor. The restaurant was packed to capacity when I arrived, the welcome was friendly and I was seated quickly. I started with the Lobster Ravioli. The flavours were fine, however, the pasta was rather thick and stodgy, as was the lobster sauce which engulfed the whole plate. I'd say... More

Usually I don't write reviews like these but I suddenly felt the need to... Why? I just visited Whits with my wife for a special occasion. I've read good things beforehand and every expectation was exceeded. I wouldn't call I service, it sounds to much of a job, they made it feel so natural and welcoming. The food was top... More

Staying in Kensington, we were intrigued by Whits being 11th best rated restaurant out of 9,000 in London. So what's it like? It's a smallish, neighbourhood bistro run by husband and wife (chef / front of house) owners with good food, huge portions, great service and very reasonable prices. La Gavroche it ain't but it doesn't pretend to be. However,... More

I first ate here five years ago, it was fantastic then. I brought some dear friends here last night, they were visiting from Geneva so are used to excellence. They loved it. The food is unbelievable, Eva the owner is wonderful, so attentive yet discrete. I have got to make sure I visit more often.

I went there with my friends as their pre-wedding celebration and this was also their first time in the UK. We were all amazed by the excellent service and food with the generous portion! We ordered two different dishes of foie grais, lobster ravioli, steak, risotto and lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly. I would definitely voted this as one of... More
