Amazing lunch!

I took my boss to the Savoy Grill for his 60th birthday and wanted somewhere special that wasn't overly fussy with the food. When we arrived the staff were so attentive, we ordered off the lunch menu and had lovely fresh hot bread brought to us in a couple of minutes. I had the wild mushrooms on... read more

Starter of Crab had shell in two portions, they deducted this from the bill... But that's just not what you expect. Everyone's food was just average, I've eaten much better food and been served with much more care at restaurants that were a quarter of the price. They'd run out of Chateaubriand had two fillet stakes left, sold out of... More

Enjoyed a wonderful two course set lunch, there was a wide range of dishes available. Service was good and the food of high standard. Seating is a bit cramped, however you will still find yourself able to converse to each other.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant decor and surroundings. Staff were fantastic. but the food was awful. Had to send two dishes back, one was cold and the other not cooked properly. Really over priced. This was a special birthday lunch but we were all very disappointed. My advise would be to save your money and go somewhere else as really a... More

We decided on lunch here largely because of a planned visit to the Savoy Theatre in the afternoon. The theatre trip was good but the meal turned out to be even more memorable. As a main course, my wife and I were both tempted by the Thursday trolley dish of rack of Berkshire pork that was paraded before us soon... More

This was our third visit and we had been given a lunch voucher for Christmas by our daughter. We took our seven year old granddaughter with us on this occasion and she enjoyed the experience as well and was treated like a 'little lady'. The setting is pleasant and the service excellent - our waiter was very good - attentive... More

Pre theatre menu was simply astonishing in the quality of the food, the ambiance, the professional and friendly service and, best of all, the price. Less than £40.00 per head for a four course dinner was incredible value.

Whilst the food was ok, I have eaten much better elsewhere for far less. However my biggest issue was how close the other diners were to my table, this seemed to be echoed across the whole restaurant, they were so close I could clearly hear the other diners conversation and almost forgot I was in a party of two and... Good afternoon Marcus F, I am sorry to read that the food did not meet your expectations. It is unfortunate that you had to sit at a table that you did not feel comfortable at, we would have gladly moved you to another one if you had shared your feeling with our team. Do not hesitate to do so on... More
