Description: Our iconic Mayfair restaurant has been transformed for a new culinary...
Our iconic Mayfair restaurant has been transformed for a new culinary chapter. First established in 1931, The Grill at The Dorchester quickly gained a reputation as the place to be for the finest grill food in London. In keeping with this original concept, Alain Ducasse's protege Christophe Marleix has created new seasonal menus.

Delicious dishes range from grill favourites alongside the restaurant's signature blue lobster chowder and an extensive sweet souffle menu - the first of its kind in London.

Lively and welcoming, the re-imagined restaurant fuses The Dorchester's iconic elegance with a contemporary tone and creative details. Interior architect Bruno Moinard was commissioned by The Dorchester to create a vibrant and timeless setting.

For an exclusive event in an iconic yet timeless setting, the restaurant can accommodate groups and private events for up to 30 guests or reserved for exclusive use - please contact us for more information.

Made my anniversary with my other half unforgettable!

First time dining at The Grill, for my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend. Made a reservation with bookatable for a 3 course meal and a glass of champs for £39 per head. Dined recently on a Sunday evening with friends. I must concur with other reviewers in that the the ambience and decor in the restaurant is superb. The staff all seem to be excellent, knowledgable, and very very helpful. My criticism of this place is that the food we were served, from the set, £39 menu, unfortunately no a la carte menu... More

We dined here tonight and had a truly great evening. We were warmly greeted in reception and then enjoyed cocktails in the Promenade Bar where there was a pianist. It was busy and yet the ambience was relaxed and friendly. It was 6pm and a number of people were finishing off a delicious looking afternoon tea in the lounge area... More

The Grill is a magical place. I love the Mura no glass - the Chandeliers are amazingly done and perfect for the ambiance. The service was impeccable. Our Supervisor John was giving us information about the Hotel and the rest of the staff were well trained. We will be back again! Happy anniversary to us.

Although the food and service are as good as it comes in London they are nowhere near as busy as they were before the expensive facelift-refit. The old format worked well for many years. They did away with the Roasts Trolley which I think was a big error of judgement. From the set lunch menu £29 for 2 courses. I... More

We dined last at The Grill at The Dorchester just before the refurbishment and the food then was exquisite; again, we were not disappointed. We dined on a Friday evening at 8pm and the restaurant was busy, although not full. The greeting from the staff was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome indeed. We ate from a... More

We visited the Grill on a Saturday early evening and opted for the £39.00 per head 3 course pre-theatre meal. It came with a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne however water for the table came at extra cost. The meal was really lovely; the highlight of which was the divine slow-roasted short rib of beef which basically melted in the... More

We booked a table through bookatable and had to book a time of 6.30pm assuming that the other times were taken. Unfortunately the restaurant was empty and soulless and so it was just a offer to fill early slots. Food, wine and service all Ok, but nothing amazing.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
