Historical pub

The Dove is a small, very old historical pub, with the smallest bar in the world.(Fits 6 people standing up). But this is only part of the available space, two other not as small rooms and a terrace overlooking the Thames. Wise to book if you wish to eat. Food is a bit pricy for a pub, but... read more

From J Boy of Derby Great old pub by the river in Hammersmith. I was given a very warm welcome as I entered and thanked as I left. A very good pint of London Pride at a reasonable price and sat outside on the terrace overlooking the Thames which has the best view of the famous Oxford/Cambridge boat race. It... More

Great location. Very friendly staff. Good ales. Unfortunately the food let them down. The food took long. But that is ok if the taste makes up for it. Sadly the chips were oily and limp. Perhaps too old!! Burger patties a bit tough. Roast beef was sub par and the gravy seemed to be out of a pack. On the... More

We only had a drink but plan to eat there next time. Great atmosphere, interesting old pictures on walls, warm welcome and very important - no music, just the quiet buzz of conversation.

In London on business, I had a day off and wanted to see a part of the city where I'd never been. I had read about this ancient pub on the riverfront in Hammersmith. It's just a short walk from Ravenscourt tube station and was well worth the trip. I bet it's mobbed on sunny afternoons but on a drizzly... More

This is probably my favourite pub, cosy, great food, chilled vibe. Only is exceptionally small so sometimes you can't get a. Table . It's worth it all round when you do. Lovely place

We were disappointed with Christmas lunch this year. Dreadful goats cheese tart. Very very average chicken parfait. Terrible christmas pudding, tasteless and too sweet and a chocolate mousse made with probably milk chocolate which was sickly and too sweet. We were not the only table that didn't eat it. Things like this spoil what should have been a fun Christmas... More

This is an old, traditional pub that is tiny and oozes atmosphere. Just having a pint here is great however we were lucky enough to have lunch, I had the Roast Pork and vegetables, FANTASTIC. Great wine list also. Be advised, book ahead if you want to eat as it seats only around 20 people. Well worth the effort!

My boyfriend (who is visiting the UK) and I stopped into the Dove for a bite to eat and bit to drink. It was really busy, so we sat in the smaller bar area on the other side of the bar... could fit about 6 people. The fish and chips were really good and beer was good as well. Could... More
