I visited here with my colleagues to have the road beef. I was looking forward to having it because I heard it's tasty. It was Thursday and so busy. It was very hard to catch a staff and order menu. Actually I tried to order a wine for our starter but I could not. The roast beef is not bad... More

Friendly food service, nice time between courses, food very good. Our party had a range of food, from the roast to fish and veal. It was all very good. One irritation was a significant delay in the serving of our cocktails. We were told that this was because there was a function in the bar, which delayed everything - HOWEVER... More

Had a very pleasant lunch here and selected two of the starter dishes instead of one main. Had the tempura scallops with lentils, coriander, and yogurt and the chicken liver pate with grape chutney. Even though on the starters menu, I was absolutely full by the time I left. Both dishes were superb and great value for the price. Can't... More

After taking in a show in the Strand we decided to eat at Simpsons in the Strand which serves traditional British Fayre. My husband chose Rib of Beef with roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. Be Warned!! Its a huge portion of food but he informed me it was mouth-wateringly delicious! I ordered Pan-Fried Duckbreast which was equally delicious and we... More

Stepping into Simpson's for breakfast is like stepping back in time - in a wonderful wonderful way. The main room has the fantastic feel of an old London gentleman's club. Dark panelled walls, ornate ceilings, aged leather seats, crisp white linen. It's so quintessentially old English and had such a great feel. It's a place to take your time over... More

I had dinner with some colleagues of mine on the occasion of a business meeting in London. Although it's a traditional and famous place, with a nice dining room, and roast beef served from the trolley, etc., I must say this restaurant didn't meet my expectations.

Very much enjoyed my dinner of table carved roast beef with horseradish and Yorkshire pudding. This kind of food makes me miss my mom's Sunday roast with homemade Yorkshire pudding.

Visited this place several times during recent 5 years. But forget about the food. As explained by many co-commentators you could find this kind of food better elsewhere. What is special to pay a visit is the atmosphere and tradition hard to find elesewhere. The prices a little bit above the top but that not surprising regarding the location (The... More

Touch of class , with good old fashioned food. Quality roast lamb combined with good service in a fantastic venue. The only negative is that the tables are so close together that you can hear everyones conversation whether it be in Chinese as to start with or Italian to finish with , when on a table for 2 you really... I just had to have the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and tasty with gravy. The roast beef was carved thinly table side. The waiter was wonderful to give us the history about this wonderfully traditional location. Great location near the theatre district.
