Some business colleagues decided to talk me to dinner here. It is a wonderful old place, full of charm and character. The service was very good. Simpsons specialises in hand-carved roasts and I could see why the dining room was full. Not a dining experience for everybody, but if you are looking for old-world London without the hefty price-tag Simpsons... More

On previous visits to this restaurant, one never had to lift a finger let alone an eyebrow to indicate what was required and given that they have since altered the method of charges for food served from decently acceptable to downright taking the mickey, particularly as the quality of food served had deteriorated quite noticeably, it is simply not good... If you are either from across the pond or the continent, you should, without question, dine at Simpsons. The decor, the service, and the food are all of the utmost quality. All are what one would expect in a top quality British restaurant. Try the roast beef or roast lamb and don't forget to tip the carver. For desert, the... More

Good food, great location and still a high staff to customer ratio. All the meat dishes are excellent. For first timers go for the trolley...The steak and kidney pudding is still my favourite there. The room has the feeling of history and the staff are keen to tell if you are interested. The Puddings are excellent .Breakfast is now being... More

I am gradually trying to work my way around London's most celebrated restaurants. My favorite so far is most definitely Simpsons. It's not just a meal, it's a whole experience, with wonderful atmosphere, decor and, on the evening we were there, quality live music at just the right volume. The staff are excellent - we booked in at very short notice... More

What a joy to walk into a quintessentially British restaurant with great food and charming, attentive staff. It was like stepping back into another era. We were going on to the theatre afterwards - the waitress asked which theatre and what time we needed to be finished by so she could make sure we got there on time. Every member... More

Took the family along including 3 yr grandson - His price was £15.00 for a main (roast beef carved at the table, dessert and drink) v good value. Ours was much more expensive but was well worth it. The meat is carved at the table and the food and service wonderful. Looking forward to another trip to London

Went here to celebrate my mum’s birthday. We were a party of four, for a Saturday lunch. Have to say we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Three of us ordered starters, mains and desserts, and one of us only ordered a main. For both the starter and dessert, they brought out a small plate for the person who didn’t order anything,... Having seen on a TV programme about Simpsons signature roast beef dish, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to lunch there on our next visit to London. We were not disappointed! We had 2 courses off the fixed price menu, the roast beef does command a supplement! It was carved at our table in the wonderful dining room.... More
