Fresh and lovely

Tucked away behind the Eye on Londons South bank is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in , Low key decor and great service coupled with fresh no nonense food which is a delight on the eye and the tastebuds...call in and be charmed.

Never disappointed when l visit RSJ. Always receive a warm welcome whether l dine alone, with friends or part of a group. Good table d'hote menu or you can choose a la carte which offers an excellent range of dishes. Whatever you decide will be delicious and complimented by an excellent selection of French wines. Do make sure you end... More

I organised a meal for a group of friends and booked this restaurant on recommendation from a friend. I'm always a little nervous to book if it is somewhere that I haven't eaten before but RSJ did not disappoint. The menu was varied and there is an excellent smaller fixed price menu. Some chose the main menu, some the fixed... More

Oh what a pleasure to go to RSJ and shame on us for not having been before despite knowing of it for years. Firstly is an oasis of delicious food, great wine ,lovely service and incredible value in London. Actually I don't need to say anymore because that sums it up.

We enjoyed the fixed price pre-theatre menu - relatively limited choice but excellently prepared, and good quantities. Professional and friendly service, getting us away unhurried an din good time for our performance, a handy ten minutes walk to the Royal Festival Hall. The main menu looks good too.

stumbled on this restaurant earlier this week while searching for somewhere to eat in the Waterloo area with a work colleague. What a find ! really interesting place with a small but perfectly formed range of starters mains and scrummy deserts. (including 'real' artisan cheeses from across the country), Great atmosphere and a huge wine list (we weren't drinking unfortunately).... More

We have never been let down at the RSJ. The welcome is friendly without being excessive. The dining room is simple but attractive. The food is first-rate, leaving you with the feeling that you could not, without far too strenuous effort and no guarantee of success, achieve as satisfactory a result at home. For example, the main course of our... More

We were there with friends who had been before, would not have found it on our own or gone in 'on spec'. Don't be fooled by outside, it is an intimate dining experience, great varied menu all delicious and not over expensive for London. Will go back but you definitely need to book

This is a quercy set up of rooms. However the food is excellent. Fish well prepared. My wife requested if they could do it without certain veg and they were most anxious she have some different veg which they did.So concerned she had what she liked excellent service without being intrusive. Next time in the area a certain visit.

Been there on Nye, the food was bland and thankfully came in tiny portions. Over complicated menu for dishes you could easily cook yourself at home. The atmosphere is what you would expect at a funeral (mind you, it was on NYE!!!!). The staff polite but in hurry to leave (so was I, to be honest). Nice location and prices... More
