Every year a group of us visit the Globe theatre and every year we finish off the day with a meal at RSJ. I have never been disappointed. I usually opt for the fixed price menu - three courses for around £20 but you can have one or two courses if you prefer. This year I quite fancied the salmon... More

This is one of the best meals we've had out this year. A return for me after about three years but a first for my husband. He's now a bit surprised we hadn't been before. We started with crab salad and duck egg with girolles followed by pork and lamb. All were excellent and beautifully cooked with very generous portions.... More

Handy venue for those on the Southbank but not wanting to be swarmed by tourists or ripped off due to the location. RSJ is a street or 2 back from the river (5 mins by foot) and about the same from Waterloo Rail Station. Light and airy, been here maybe 6 times over the years and NEVER been disappointed. Great... This restaurant is on the corner of a Coin a Street, close to the National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall etc. there is a set menu of three courses for £19.95 but the a la carte menu is more exciting. My starter was duck's egg with samphire and my main course wild sea trout with a mashed sweetcorn base. The prices... More

old favourite and still going strong. On this occasion we used it for a pre-theatre meal with friends, good food well served in convivial surroundings and an interesting wine list with many wines from the Loire. Well priced and close to the South Bank, bur away from the crowd.

Went here with a group of work colleagues for dinner following a team meeting. Very helpful staff in the run-up to the meal, and they even printed out the menus with our logo on. Location is slightly confusing, but much more convenient than you think. We were in the Yellow room, which was a private room suitable for upto about... More

An unpretentious little gem of a restaurant, just behind the embankment at Southbank, offering an eclectic style of dining at good value.

We were exploring south-of-the-river and remembered RSJ.... It does French, in a stylish, yet low-key way. It's been there for ages and the older members of the family have spoken appreciatively about it. So, we gave it a try. The room is smart and the food is just right....carefully prepared, quality seasonal ingredients, presented with care and precision. This would... More

Worth the short walk away from the busy riverside walks on the Southbank; this is a gem of a restaurant; limited menu of reliable cuisine, good wine selection and effortless service. A maitre d who knows the importance of a Bates' cap is an increasingly rare thing - worth the visit just for that.
