RSJ came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The space is small but there is a good buzz. The food was great and at really good prices. The wine list is an incredible collection of French wines. The duck and pomelo salad was out of this world and the cod was amazing. The wait staff was efficient but not very... More

We chose this restaurant because it is in the good food guide and a handy place to meet friends close to Waterloo station. It is a buzzy friendly place with good service , though it is quite small so can get a bit noisy. The choice of food was mixed for our table. Some was delicious and others not so... More

We have visited several times. The food is always well prepared. The service is friendly and efficient. Virtually all of the staff seem to have been there for at least a few years. There is a choice from a set menu or the a la carte menu, with at least one and usually two interesting vegetarian options i.e. not the... More

Came here for a business meal with 10 colleagues. Polite effecient reception on arrival and we were ushered up to the first floor which is the dining area. Modern decoration and comfortable seats, the establishment has a good atmousphere and the staff are effecient and friendly. Wide selection of interesting wine and at reasonable prices. Good menu with a wide... More

A very enjoyable meal at RSJ last night. Food was tasty, decent portion sizes and the all day set price meal extremely good value at £16.95. Service from the waiter who looked after us for the whole evening was good - he knew the menu and wine list well and the interactions with us were friendly and efficient. Food arrived... More

I've eaten at RSJ before but not for some time. So often the experience of a return visit some years after an impressive meal results in disappointment. Not at RSJ. The food is understated, not showy, but it's first class produce, beautifully prepared and cooked. As others have stated, the £19.95 three course fixed price menu offers sufficient choice to... Pleasant restaurant serving good honest interesting and well cooked food at great value. We ate from the set menu at £20 for three courses. There is a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses and the sweet is chosen from the a la carte menu. There is an extensive wine list comprising a vast selection of French wines. The tables... More

Went here with a work colleague in the early eve. It's down from the Old Vic and away from the immediate bustle of Waterloo. I'd have this place as great for lunch or meals with business colleagues. It's a very brightly lit restaurant with those modern wooden chairs that doesn't lend it a romantic or intimate appeal. We ate from... More

Fantastic value for money. Had the 3 course fixed price menu for £20. Everything was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes generous. A particular delight was the peanut butter cheesecake. Service was excellent and very quick, while the early dinner start time makes it ideal for a pre-theatre meal.
